Leicester vs Birmingham 26/03/2022 KoC 1st Round 1st Leg

Why did Birmingham accept the fixture then? We rearranged last season and went there to save their club... and this is how the Leicester fans are repaid!

All being well, the Lions will progress to the next round & the Leicester fans will have another home meeting.

Hoping for some decent racing tomorrow. I think Brum will do well to keep the Lions under 55 points though, to make the return leg interesting if nothing else.

No wonder speedway is a mess. Here's our great signing you've been waiting all winter for and by the way he won't be riding in our opening meeting

I'm led to believe that Leicester were happy for the 75% guest to be used, but Birmingham were refused the facility.

It's rediculous that different teams use different rules - only in Speedway eh!

Rules should be made simpler not more difficult to understand for sure!

Rules should be applied uniformly across the board, not dependent on who is asking!

Excited to be back in the lions den this evening! Can't wait to hear the noise and smell those bikes roaring. Here's to great a night of speedway although I don't think it will be a close one...

This is a consequence of Brum building their side a long while after fixtures were compiled but it's a kick on the nuts for the most important people, the paying public.

For goodness sake, no speedway for months at a time when the world is in turmoil and people are still moaning about crazy stuff.

Fair enough, Adam Ellis is a big miss but it would take a lot more than that to keep me away.

They should indeed, any chance of it actually happening.

In no other sport could you sign a rider who is immediately unavailable for your first fixture.

Brooklyn Nets NBA team paid Kevin Durant $30 million knowing he was going to miss a whole season. Cleveland Browns NFL team have signed DeShawn Watson knowing he will be facing a big suspension this year. It happens.

Plenty of footballers having signed for new clubs are injured during pre-season and miss the first (few) fixtures.
In the case of Adam, he was signed with the full knowledge that he would be unavailable for the Lions leg, but this is hardly a reason not to have signed him at all is it?
