This stream auto-updates

  1. Past hour
  2. I watched the stream as a neutral and it looked a 50/50 to me. No malice whatsoever by either rider
  3. Well done Berwick. They didn’t have to do that. We all moan about stuff from time to time. But this and the winter YouTube meetings have been very welcome so let’s give credit where it’s due.
  4. Totally agree and this has always been a bugbear of mine. There’s enough home advantage as it is and a home team should never be allowed to use a tactical.
  5. Nice words from him about the new management at Ipswich though. He hasn’t been the first to compliment them either. Actions speak louder than words obviously but it’s encouraging all the same from an Ipswich perspective.
  6. With tonight's meeting off, thanks to the Berwick Speedway YouTube channel you can enjoy the Berwick v Edinburgh match from 2022. Meeting start at 7.
  7. From what I understand in this saga is the new insurance doesn’t cover loss of earnings like the old system did although it was no where near enough it was something and that has now changed to a system that is more suited to someone like a motox or trails rider,I would estimate that 95% of ACU licence holders over all sports don’t have their chosen sport as their job where as speedway 95% does
  8. 04.04.2026: MPPK, Gdańsk: https://vk.com/video246397852_456239974 Ostrów v Poznań: https://vk.com/video-234681448_456239085 Rzeszów v Łódź: https://vk.com/video-53550004_456242539
  9. So you were sat with loads of Poole fans who would obviously give a non bias opinion. I was sat in the grandstand last night and I couldn’t tell you who’s fault it was from that view, who knows exactly what lines the rider was racing at that time. To me it was just an unfortunate racing incident. Some Poole fans around me were moaning about the Cooper decision which was the correct one so obviously people have home bias like I do when watching Oxford.
  10. Taken from the ACU website - The cost of an Auto-Cycle Union (ACU) competition licence and registration will be subject to a modest increase in 2026 as new-and-improved personal accident insurance becomes integrated into the annual fee as standard. The decision to set the competition licence fee at £98, the new-for-2026 national trial registration at £50, and the club trial registration at £35 for a full season of ACU competition reflects the national governing body of British motorcycle sport’s commitment to improving rider protection and simplifying how insurance is delivered across its permitted events. The current insurance model requires organisers to pay for personal accident cover, a cost that is reflected in riders’ event entry fees. The decision to introduce a new approach in 2026 comes after a two-year review of insurance and safety arrangements across all ACU activity. It also marks the start of a new partnership between the ACU and Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance that will bring increased value and support for riders, organisers and officials. Central to the new-and-improved personal accident insurance benefits the ACU has secured for its riders in 2026 is hospitalisation payments that will now begin after 72 hours in hospital, rather than the previous 14-day threshold. These payments will be paid daily up to a maximum of £2,000 per hospital stay. As well as this, public liability cover of £40 million will remain in place for all competitive events run under an ACU permit. These insurance benefits do not apply to non-ACU competitions. Matthew Edwards-Wear, CEO of the Auto-Cycle Union, said: “Introducing a modest competition licence and registration fee increase is necessary to provide the best insurance package currently available within UK motorcycle sport. “We are proud the ACU is there for riders if they suffer an injury at one of our permitted events and the benefits that come with the latest personal accident insurance package we’ve secured for 2026 is proof of that commitment. “Bringing the personal accident payment – which amounts to £20 for an entire season – into the rider licence or registration fee also helps organisers by reducing their event costs and admin. With costs increasing in other areas of motorcycle sport, it’s important the ACU family supports those that do such a great job when organising the events we all compete in.” I guess Thomsen would need something similar under his Danish licence.
  11. Ha ha ha ,,, so all your fellow Poole supporters around you thought Thomsen was at fault ... you do make me laugh sometimes . Just the referee then differed - he excluded Lawson. !!!! Certainly helped out Poole tomight in their quest to win the lot again in 2026.
  12. Be extra pro Poole Rob. It’s called Pirates tv for a reason.
  13. But the clubs sign riders knowing they already have a Polish contract.... Therefore, they 100% know they will be missing some meetings..
  14. So in the end Dan Thompson was named in the Lodz team for todays match, sadly for him he was an unnamed number eight and never got to turn a wheel in anger.
  15. No one, and I mean no one around me thought Lawson was at fault. A rider on the outside often comes around and clamps the rider on the inside. It looked like Tobias lifted and collected them both. With the aid of a replay in slow motion it could well look different and I am not saying Lawson wasn’t hard. We all know Lawson never, ever takes prisoners. I recall one time where he said he went light on a rider because they were an inexperienced young rider who had gated in front of him. As team mates last season and next to each other in the pits all last season I doubt there was any animosity whatsoever. Just bikes that hooked up and they ploughed in.
  16. So it's exactly the same then. Tac subs allowed in the league phase, but not in the knockout phase.
  17. I do not think he was slagging KL, just been honest about Allitt & Chapman and Lyons.
  18. Today
  19. Thought Reid done well in the Aussie Champs. He had something about him was stylish on the bike and looked to have a racing instinct. He will do okay imo.
  20. Isn't it a bit soon to be shouting and screaming at the BSPL, it could be correct, but as things read at the moment, it would seem the insurance is still there, just arranged in a different way? true, its not very clear at the moment, but too soon to start running around like headless chickens, let's get the facts first
  21. Gladiators tv is available on the website now, click on live stream.
  22. Thanks for that took the sting off not being trackside this evening.
  23. Thanks for that. It was good meeting what I saw. Young Vilads Nagel impressive . Lodz done well to get the draw with the 2-4 & 1-5 in heats 14 and 15. Wish there were more community stadiums like that available to British Speedway Clubs.
  24. Watched the Poole press meeting and Lawson slagged Kings Lynn on there. Watch on Youtube
