Nice idea in an ideal world, but hopelessly impracticable. I agree with Steve Park (!!!!) that such a competition would mean the lower-order riders (who might need it most) would be deprived of early-season action under racing conditions. However, what rules the idea out in this day and age is that none of the clubs could afford it! Paying your top earners for three away meetings out of the takings from just one home 'gate' would be an impossible financial burden. -
Basso and Bangs would have been good at Northampton. At least the stadium isnt due to be demolished or the landlords wanting to evict. These days, that's a major advantage
-
Leicester should be welcoming this, they finally have a local rival in sport, (their football fans try and claim they have one with Forest, but it isn't a real derby, not like Forest v Derby).

Temporarily

The plan is to have 2027 sorted by the end of June this year.... The more sceptical, given the track record of those in charge, may not quite believe it, however, let's hope for a "new start"....

Absolutely. Can guarantee the Polish clubs don't wait until November before they start talking to riders about the following season.

He came off during P&P just after Nick Morris did in the same spot

Poole confirm that Dan Gilkes has stood down bit.ly/4s6CfGp

Agreed if Zagar is happy/motivated they should win most of home meetings, if he's not fussed they will be up against it.

Deleted.

Personally think your team look a lot better Brennan should kick on, Tobi could be a 9 point man if his head is right and Bangs is one of the best talents out there, Lawson should be usual solid self granted the other three could be hit and miss.
-
Gilkes out for at least 28 days with last years knee injury... Joe Thompson comes in to replace.

Is this a cryptic way of saying Bomber is guesting for Holder?🤔 or simply stating facts?😆 -
It’s a decent side, not title winners but solid. Let’s face it, we would all rather have them in the league than not so I’m glad they have a decent team. A lot of Ipswich fans have already said they will be there for the opening meeting so solid crowds is what a new club requires. More positivity than negativity, a nice stadium, good track and a good time out. Good luck Northampton 👊🏻

Obviously injuries have really hampered his progress so far, but has he actually demonstrated anything to show he’s got it in him to take a step forward on the clear early potential he showed as a rookie? Big season for his whole career path this one imo -
The only problem I see with that idea is, it's not giving all the sides riders some "semi-competitive" rides. Each team would have to have two riders sitting out each "round". Other than that it's a cracking idea.
-
Have to agree well past his sell- buy date to me but as a whole I think this team could hold their own at home ,always good to have a new s/way team .
-
Exactly this if they all click on the same day, they may spring the odd surprise... Lidsey for me is in a similar bracket to Brennan, probably didn't expect to be a no.1 this season but hopefully pushes both riders on all capable of being inconsistent, if they all drop the ball same night they'll take a few hammerings but as said could surprise a few too, adds some interest...
-
Not a bad 1-7 especially as a new club, all got potential and could shock a few on their day. Best of luck to them !
-
Surprised at zagar, very capable rider but for me lacks dedication these days for the price you pay for him especially as the H Man saw him last year
-
They won't be in the play offs...

It is what it is just happy they are coming to the tapes They look a bit like us at Ipswich …. Lidsey isn’t a number one by any stretch of the imagination A team that is solid to a point but lol the weakest but as I say good to see them at the tapes
