As much as it would be a lose to King's Lynn, if we can't put a super team together for 27, I want to see Cooper at Belle Vue. Develop the gating and super high speeds required for Poland. With Lambert now just reaching the pinnacle of the sport I'd like to see Cooper make moves now. A repeat of the past few seasons at King's Lynn, his career will be stunted if sticks around at King's Lynn. Same for Jody too. King's Lynn has become rather suffocating for all rider's. In 2027, this club (with the riders potentially available) need to take a risk and be "ALL IN".

Also you have to remember that Poland have stated that riders riding in the Polish League can only ride in one other league. Danes have to ride in the Danish League, so as things stand most of those Dane's you have used will not be riding in the UK. So you can rule out the following from your lists. You mean rooting for, or do you mean selecting the best path for network traffic? Of course no one would expect anything other than fans from other club supporting the underdog. I doubt there’s many speedway fans out there who are not Poole fans, wanting us to win. Will it have any effect on the outcome?

October 1st means change of riding order for Pirates. Zach Cook goes to number one for the first time, meaning Richard Lawson probably goes to the number 5 berth. Will Middlo shake things up or leave Will Cairns at number 2 and Cooper Rushen at 4? The Kerr/Rushen partnership is our weakest pairing. Too late to make a change and split them up? Probably. Scunthorpe are no pushovers on their track. Riders that don’t travel well can beat heat leaders as they are so dialled in. Ingram at reserve is a real force around the Eddie Wright Raceway, as is young Harrison. The good news for Poole is that Ablitt returns to reserve with Mountain heading back into the team. However, the Ablitt/Ingram partnership at home is still a force to be reckoned with. Palm Toft has picked up his form in recent weeks. Hook has come back from an injury so might be a weak link. I should imagine Middlo will be heading up to Scunthorpe and will share the team managers berth with Havvy. The riders will be in no doubt what is expected of them. Keep it close, no throwing away silly points. Looking forward to heading up for this one.

Its great to see the three unfancied teams (Scunthorpe, Berwick and Plymouth in the finals for a change). Will probably favour Poole in the final as still a fan of the team finishing top being champions.

In an interview Coleman has said because of the location at Ipswich there is room to create a festival type event,at last someone gets what the British GP should be, maybe someone has listened to me at last 😜 If anyone has ever been to the Weston super mare beach race weekend that’s what the British speedway GP should be like

The rights holders make their money by charging the tracks a hosting fee.. I saw the list once a few years ago and it did change from venue to venue, but all were six figures... Cardiff was ran by the series owners themselves as it was the biggest money earner at that time.. It also has been said that temporary seating works out roughly at £1k per seat, which therefore can be very expensive to install...

They needed to call it The National Speedway Stadium to get the project over the line with Manchester Council. I was present at the meeting when the request was made by David and Chris. I never had a vote at this time and from what I recall it never went to a vote, the consensus was that it was in the best interests of the sport (leave it lol) to agree to the request. I suppose you could say Wembley is the home of the England team but they do play the odd match at different stadiums in England on occasion, and u21/u19 sides rarely play at Wembley. I don’t see much difference with the GP at Ipswich rather than Belle Vue, but I take your point about it.

I think the GP organisers expect the host club to pay a really sizeable sum just for the privalige of hosting, that would be in those costs. With a maximum of 6k fans at the NSS this makes it hardly worth it financially. There should be more opportunity at Ipswich.

Putting his money where his mouth is... Makes perfect sense, given he runs Speedway at Ipswich and runs the GP series... Hopefully he gets the track to deliver several racing lines as the GP lads don't make too many mistakes when in front.... But plenty of tracks on the GP circuit deliver poor racing and people still watch.. I presume the NSS and June 12 are entwined currently, however one night, with no extra seating, could be a tough profit maker, and admission charges for 4,500 or so would have to be on the very high side... Plus many hotels in and around Manchester are already showing fully booked with Oasis being in town.. Maybe the NSS could negotiate a much reduced fee to run it?.. It could be possible if no one else wants to run one I would suggest... Does Glasgow hold over 4,000? If so, maybe they may want to join the GP circus?... At least if the GP doesn't get ran at the NSS then the Aces attendances should not be impacted like they have the last two years for those meetings leading up to it, and just after... A new GP venue is always something to gain some interest, so best of luck to the venture...

Brilliant match Poznan v Gorzow - probably the best Baraz match for a long time.

That was a decent meeting this evening and thanks to all the riders who made it worth watching and thanks to the guys who provide the links so that we can watch some of the best speedway available in Europe. Onward to next weekend.
