  1. Past hour
  2. Nothing definite (that I know of), but at the last match, the announcer did mention talks were in progress, about keeping the same charity partner, and that Tigers 50/50 jackpot would roll over to next season, if not won.
  3. Have the Bates indicated if they are staying or do they still wish to sell up ?
  4. Seem to recall reading in Malcolm Simmons book, that he deliberately scored nil in a match, in order to reduce his average so he could get in to the second division. Not sure if that is what you meant. Anyone else remember this in his book?
  5. A season of both would surely give the highest return.
  6. It It seems you are suspicious of something. Please tell us what that is.
  7. I would hazzard a guess that a season of stockcar racing gives the stadium a bigger return than a season of speedway.
  8. Today
  9. That’s what people think straightaway me included but what if it isn’t ?
  10. Another youth development signing 🤣
  11. Would agree, what an embarrassment for what is meant to be a Professional Organisation .
  12. Was that Simmo and possibly one of Rasmussen or Schroek or was that even earlier ?
  13. How much longer will you be mine?
  14. Why would the stocks running be a problem for Sheffield? Surely the track getting more use in the off-season is a good thing.
  15. I've just read Neil Vatchers response in the Star and found it all very confusing at first. That is, I couldn't understand how, after confirming the definition of the rule to be that both wheels have to be fully over the inner edge of the line, he then went on to say that it was never the intention to throw the referee under the bus by saying that the rule was breached. Then, after reading Godfreys deluded ramblings at the end of the article, the penny dropped. Godfrey is using the clerical error made when copying the FIM rule, where they missed the word 'marking', to justify him being able to make up his own version. So as I read Vatchers comments, where he says that the statement was about the wording of the rule & not the referee's decision, it seems that as a gesture of appeasment to Godfrey, they have acknowledged that the clerical error had allowed him to interperate the 'as written' rule differently to its intended definition. Thus they are saying that it was Godfreys definition of the rule that was breached and not that the referee, who applied the rule correctly had made a mistake, so the wording of the rule has been changed to avoid further confusion.
  16. If Eastbourne come to the tapes.... Becker & Lightcap at No1 & 2 Lawson, Harris & Masters at 3, 4 & 5 Kemp + an RS
  17. The stocks are back at Sheffield next week, this might not be the good news that folk think it is ???
  18. Personally think it's time Mountain moved on his career has stalled and like Harrison needs to get away from Scunthorpe for a while and ply his trade elsewhere. I wouldn't bother with Ablitt either with the average he has he'd start more then likely in the Top 5 and he isn't consistent enough to warrant a chance yet again on an average that the points could be used elsewhere. Pickering if he wants it and Ingram (if he finally improves on away tracks) are the only 2 from the 2026 team worth continuing with (Although Palm Toft would be a decent signing if you could guarantee a season of the way he rode in the Playoff final but he's a bit of an enigma). Zischke would be a fantastic signing but he'll probably end up at Glasgow were the money is.
  19. Just a team idea Josh Pickering 10.64 Dan Gilkes 4.45 Michael Palm Toft 6.05 Connor Mountain 5.25 Tate Zischke 6.54 // Jake Allen Vinnie Foord 3.30 // Anze Grmek Ryan Ingram 3.55 if you wanted to go stronger at reserve you could go with Grmek (who I was impressed with when guested for Glasgow) but then would have weaken the no5 berth with Jake Allen
  20. And from the rest of that statement its clear that the AGM is fairly meaningless when it comes to next year's rules.
