Here's what I think will happen because it's British Speedway after all where unprofessionalism and under-handed tactics eventually plays a role. 1. Belle Vue will use Guests until Matej Zagar has made a full recovery. 2. Once Matej Zagar is fit we will get a statement from Northampton about how delighted they are to bring Matej Zagar back into their septet only it won't be in place of Jonas Jeppesen, It'll be in place of Jaimon Lidsey because Northampton have been so impressed with Jonas since he joined the Club. 3. Belle Vue then sign Jaimon Lidsey and go on to win the League.

Jason is nearly a point under Dan and Dan’s CMA is 1-2 points under his actual 2026 Speedway Star figure so whatever we do it’s no kind of replacement. Looking at final 2025 figures, Jaimon is marginally higher than Jason so if Northampton agreed we could have Jaimon and they could have Jason. A GP man lining up for them might produce a bit of press and we could keep our family intact rather than sign a journey man.

Your right about the fans that turn up are maybe not fussed, but crowd levels have decreased because for a lot of them it is a mickey mouse circus watching the same riders riding for every team in the league over a season. No credibility in the sport .IMO

Only saw it on YT but there did seem to be a Zmarzlik sized opportunity to dive bomb into turn three... Cairns took that chance and, given the one camera angle from his side of the track, looked like he may have got passed without touching Piper... Either way, good to see someone prepared to take racing risks...

Cook will be back for the Oxford meeting this week
-
EVERY meeting should have some junior racing incorporated into it.... The old Scottish Junior League structure would do if they wanted to make "teams".... Track time being the gain, rather than money being made... That can come later when progression happens...

BSN, i had pictures that were pixalating when the racing was in full flow, i know they mentioned it during the meeting so were aware of the issue. Racing and presentation of the meeting, far too long to run a meeting, track looked awful and a number of riders looked out of shape on it!. I thought Rushen, Cairns, Scott, Loftus, Perry, Foord, Pijper all looked good.....regarding Pijper he will soon learn when having an engine failure you just don't "dump" the bike on the track for your mechanic to pick up, right there right then showed a poor attitude, only something small but stood out a mile.

SGP 3 Championship
racers and royals replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
No SGP2 Finals and SGP 3 final are NOT being filmed( see other thread about Mayfield Sports). -
I feel like both nights were the opposite to each other personally. Friday started off electric and gradually weakened until it finished, whereas Saturday started slower and ramped up to an epic final. If I were given the choice I would choose Saturday as a brilliant final leaves a better taste in the mouth.

SGP 3 Championship
Dave_minall replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
My guess would be zero percent. If they're not even showing the SGP2 then this is definitely not going to be broadcast. Saying that though, it will most likely be streamed direct on FIM-Moto, so it's being shown somewhere, just not on television. -
Just want to add to the praise and thanks for the two stunning GPs - the racing was so exciting as the track comes to the riders as the meeting proceeds and no matter what anyone says, the fans in the stadium loved it even if they were filling in their programmes! Met some nice fans, including a young man who has been seeing BV since 1955! He was as excited as anyone around when Kurtz won! I am happy to get a 2 for 1 for such high quality speedway and I'll try and be back next season too - despite having my car broken into in a city centre car park, it was worth it (almost!)

I agree that Cairns did not 'torpedo' Ace, but he did knock him down and deserved the exclusion. I thought Ace's reaction was a bit over the top. I think it was more down to the fact that he didn't win the title on his home track. Got out-gated and frustration boiled over once he bit the dirt. Will is certainly a marmite character, of that there's no doubt.

Its my guess the club will want to save money and put up with r/r for 4 weeks until they HAVE to find a replacement ? We did ok with 9 pts from r/r last time.

Line up and live updates for SF2, Pardubice, 17.06.2026: https://live.baansportfansite.nl/event/1160/fim-sgp3-world-championship-semi-final-2-pardubice.html -
"Speedway from the Gods" I think Friday night the racing was better , on Saturday it took a few heats to get going but ended in a Crescendo . One night GP at the NSS would be ideal but financially its not viable with the current capacity of the stadium. The Fanzone has run its course a bit unless it has more substance cannot really see the point , we went in walked round in 5 minutes and came out.
