I feel very sorry for Joe. Although I have been critical of his selection in the past this year he has done a very good job. However, he has not "go to hell he’s kicked out" as his fixed term contract has come to an end. That is different from being kicked out. He has agreed to provide a service for 28 days. He did provide a service for 28 days. The club used his services for 28 days. The contract was fore filled by both parties.

Bowes must thank his lucky stars that he's Australian, there can't be any other reason he gets so many opportunities. He's 25 this year and has barely achieved a 6pt average across his 5 seasons in U24 Ekstraliga + Championship. I don't think many Brits would get the same chances.

What a miracle. I didn't think you'd be the one defending this sort of rubbish. It doesn't bother me either way - I don't support either club - but this sort of thing is commonplace in British speedway now. There's no need to defend it.

I think most attending will have an expectation of "first night teething problems".... And it would be truly amazing if all went perfectly to plan... Let's hope 3000+ attend as that generally would mean the crowd levels, after the novelty has worn off and generic fans from other tracks have all attended, will settle down to a decent level.... Running out of programmes, (and even chips!), would be a good sign.... Best of luck to Mark Lemon, and the rest, the weather looks decent so hopefully a good turn out...

My gut tells me Bowes could come good, but at the moment he's trying too hard, and over riding it. He needs to relax and ride instinctively, then the results would come. Might be in need of some form of support to give him some confidence. But time maybe running out? Also... I looked at the BSN tables and it struck me how crucial loosing the bonus point might prove to be for the Cheetahs. Surely one of the other second placed teams can score 5 points?!
