  1. Past hour
  2. i know which instagram page you are referring too as ive also seen it, it isnt an offical page and is fan run.
  3. Ok thanks. I found the post, it was one on the Official British Speedway Instagram and said he was back racing for Wroclaw vs Zielona Gora. A tad misleading then.
  4. Im wondering who will stump up the £500 we have wasted on hotels flights and airport parking after we were told our rider had too be back
  5. No hes not back yet, Wroclaw just have to declare him in the line up so they can use rider replacement for him
  6. I was told a few years ago that the advertising in the programme effectively covered the production costs, so the sales were profit.
  7. Absolutely no contact. Few riders negotiated the outside line on either pair of bends with any confidence.
  8. Earlier in the season kemp put all his eggs n the polish basket, but after a few weeks of not being picked or limited fixtures, I think he has now decided/ been persuaded to return to British speedway. Think he will have a point to prove and some wages to earn and score some good points for the Comets
  9. Today
  10. The FIM schedule should have been taken into account before this meeting was arranged. The young kids want to be on an international stage as well as a British stage
  11. I was going to say that but I thought i would let it go. New Zealand champion.
  12. No different to Woffinden. If he has a British passport then good for him, makes it easier for him to race over here. Same with Loftus at Edinburgh as well ain’t it?
  13. NSS & Wroclaw are the best 2 tracks, but agree they lose it all when they are too grippy.
  14. So, is Bewley back riding this Sunday - was sure I saw a post on social media saying he was? If so, will he turn out for Belle Vue on Monday or does Doyle have to remain for the full 28 days?
  15. Agree to disagree but you are wrong 😂
  16. Do we know if it is Garritty, or is it just speculation? Could it be someone like James Wright?
  17. But we all know they were left with the scraps and as a result have a team where 50% of the time you have three possible riders who don't fancy it. You could carry 1 but you can't carry 3 with that mindset, if Zagar comes back and is 50% interested he could still do a job in this standard of league but they need to get rid of another one of the disinterested gang but its that same old question who would come if anyone.
  18. Another blast from the past if I remember correctly big things were expected of the boy but he was thrown into an already seriously weak Lynn team from the off had blue leathers if I remember correctly ?
  19. I'm glad I grew up watching Gordon Kennett...a master of the white line and passed many opponents and created so many special memories! Sadly missed but his legacy lives on!
  20. Pete was the other end of the scale zero empathy and always looked permanently miserable but as you say he knew how to run a team I can remember years ago when Wolves just about held Cradley in an away match and somehow Pete had Sam or Ronnie Correy out in every other heat and both were on fire that night.
  21. The reason Drew didn't resign for Berwick was the logistics involved with us being a Saturday track, he had at the time basically said he wouldn't be riding Championship.
  22. Not much to say except that, once again, the Foxes only had 5 riders, but a different 5! Thomson should have had 6 rides but that's what you get with an inexperienced team manager, I suppose. Racing was apparently poor, crowd was apparently good. Hopefully the first improves before the second falls. I'll be there a week on Monday and just enjoy having something local for the rest of the season!
  23. I know hindsight is 20/20 but Kemp should have been signed long before they even considered Cookie. No disrespect at all because it's obvious that Cook definitely still has what it takes, but his ability to just disappear when needed is just not good enough as a professional rider. I feel it's the end of his career now - not because he can't do it, but no promoter will risk it any more. A massive shame when you consider that not too long ago he was the 2nd best british rider we had.
