  1. Past hour
  2. Leave him alone. You do not have to read or comment on anything he posts. As has been said above, just ignore him if you so wish.
  3. Has anyone confirmed that it actually went ahead?
  4. I believe it's an external agency but I could be wrong.
  5. Seems to becoming the norm these days, blank dates in the prime summer months.
  6. Get them hands in yer pocket mate, I'm coming for a pint wid you πŸ˜€πŸΊ
  7. Some short memories here. Was it not part of the 'package' of adjustments created, to allow resurrection of the Comets after the league suspended their membership last summer, that meeting starts between changed to 6pm? Personally, l would prefer to visit Northside for 3pm starts, but if the 6pm time means they will survive as a club, there's no question -- six o'clock it is!
  8. I thought I read somewhere that England matches kicked off at 9pm/10pm?
  9. Today
  10. I do agree with what you're saying and I think the poster should be able to post what he wants in reason on this forum. But and its a big but, the forum has been totally saturated by the posts on what seems every single thread going. Other posters don't want that and it puts them off both posting and visiting the site. The poster needs to calm down and not railroad every thread going.
  11. Who even runs their socials?
  12. Personally, a little chickle is ok, its no more annoying than the football drivel that gets brought up with monotonous regularity.. Or the insults on the Poole thread a while back
  13. Don't hold your breath... we've been waiting for news everyday for the last 3 months 🀣 I'm sure everything is fine but who knows when we're actually gonna find out
  14. Fixtures logged and digested πŸ˜€ good news I'm on the correct shift for all fixtures (happily retired πŸ˜›) couple of hotels booked for southern trips 🍺 roll on the season starts UTC πŸπŸ”΅βšͺ
  15. I agree - but surely a bit of help from their social team wouldn't go amiss? They've posted about signings for every other NDL team and have ommitted Buxton entirely πŸ™ƒ
  16. It should, but you're forgetting... this is Speedway πŸ˜‚
  17. I think the fake outrage was more genuine fear. A Nora national league could have easily operated alongside the BSPL leagues but with the ability to take a fresh look, introduce fresh ideas but also drop any that didn't work whilst being forgiven as it would have been a known work in progress. Instead the BSPL threatened riders that competed in it and threatened clubs with closure if they co-operated. Rather than generate track time for both established and emerging riders its was beaten down by snakes who champion themselves as saviours of the sport.
  18. Personally I'm delighted it's 6pm start time as I have a family and work so taking up my Saturday afternoon was a problem. Loys of people work Saturdays and if they do a 3pm start is not possible, I agree with others to it clashes with the football at the start and end of the season including the Reds. There are quite a few reds fans also attend speedway so if they are at home they have a choice to make. I do feel for the people relying on public transport to get there and home as its crap at best our public transport. Not sure if the attendance went up last season on the meetings they had at 6pm but hopefully the speedway do end up getting the floodlights from Borough Park and we get real speedway under the lights how good would that be.
  19. I have said it for years the national league should go their own way with the blessing of the bspl, ultimately the higher leagues don’t and never have cared for the NL unless there is some sort of financial gain for them, they get jealous of any NL club that has any financial success and set out to penalise that club, the fake outrage when a Nora league was mooted was speedway in a nutshell, our way or no way, the likes of Barry bishop understand the bspl mentality, don’t expect any help because they don’t care
  20. Click on your Logo at the top right. List of options
  21. Hover your cursor over the picture of the poster - a box will appear and "ignore" is at the bottom left of the box - click it and you're done!
  22. It needs to be on free to air mainstream TV, which then (might), engage some of the old followers to attend, and ignite some interest from the millions, within 45 mins of many tracks, who literally don't know the sport exists... And free to air mainstream TV may also get some "new money" sponsors into the sport, rather than "in house" sponsorship which doesn't move the sport forward... However. Some "proper cash injection" would need to be met with an agreement to run the sport authentically from a team aspect though, and, given so many "hobbyists" are involved, that may be a big barrier to overcome...
  23. They couldn't afford less Prem teams as then there would be too many riders not able to DU.... At thst time. With Ipswich being possibly not running, and Northampton still a twinkle in some promoters' eye, they simply couldn't afford another Prem team to drop... With only four Prem teams you would pretty much be at the point when one league would be the only realistic outcome, as those four surely couldn't go it alone... And one league means DU'ing is dead....
  24. RIP Terry, and condolences go out to family and all who knew himπŸ˜”
