  1. Past hour
  2. Don't think a lack of money for improvement is the issue, floodlights are ready to install when the electricity company decides it has time to install the mains. No mains no lights
  3. For the people who would like a team change, can I ask who you would try and bring in at this late stage of the season that could be any better than what we have now ?
  4. Best track in the country and no one wants to go and watch plus obviously a lack of money to improve things. Sums UK speedway up perfectly. Almost done.
  5. All the negative about the team but no mention of track prep The track is very poor recently First bend down to base after ht2 last week Big hole right in middle of 1st/2nd bend this week Crowd is down but the product on offer is not what it was Catch 22 if you want paying public you have to give something worth paying for I go every week but I'll be honest I no longer get down about it or miss it if we have no meeting 1 weekend
  6. How is the weather for tonight? Been sent a video from Newcastle and it is peeing down?
  7. Poole Stadium is hosting a Military Tattoo in September. That must be the first non-speedway event at the stadium since the greyhounds ended.
  8. I've been a fan of his for years, and in Aus he can often be as quick as anyone, but has not seemed to produce that same level in either UK or Poland He will need to find quite a few metres to be in the mix at GP level and at 36 years of age that's unlikely.
  9. Today
  10. I’d switch Dan Thompson and Nick Morris around, think Dan and Kyle Howarth would make a better combination and putting Nick Morris with Ryan Douglas wouldn’t impact Morris’ inability to team ride as Douglas generally is a get out front and put head down sort of rider
  11. There is only 5 points between 5th & 9th place (excluding Holder who will get a wildcard) with 4 GP's to go, that covers Woryna, Madsen, Fricke, Dudek & Thomsen. Three of those will likely fill out the top seven. Lebedevs and Doyle, a further six and eight points away, would need a couple of finals, unlikely on this years form, to feature in the seven. Thomsen is having a great season all round but will run out of GP's if Holder and Bewley are back for the last two. Unless the 4th wildcard comes into play from SEC duplication (and he gets it), or Freddie retires he will miss out unfortunately. As regards Kvech, who also will not make next years GP's he is a younger rider (for the modern age), having a great season and still on the improve. Highly likely that he can be a GP regular in the future.
  12. Hurry touches on that again here 😆 https://ipswichwitches.co/witches-boss-hurry-seeks-sweet-silverware-in-premiership-knockout-cup-final/
  13. Just put plenty of material on the track to suit the home riders, that'll help, oh yeah but then again the Leicester manager might moan yet again like last time and get the track altered coz it didn't suit his riders🫢
  14. I think both legs will very close. I’m expecting a Leicester win on aggregate but hoping the witches can battle to a overall win
  15. I know they qualified on merit but to see Tungate and Nilsson in the GP at the expense of Doyle and Fricke is just so poor
  16. I listened to the SGP interview with Richard Coleman in which he discusses similar and it did change my perspective a bit. We definitely can change the race nights to Monday - Thursday without trouble which would be ideal for Poole. However, if Glasgow want to keep Fridays it could present a problem. Every team that goes away to Glasgow will not be able to field a full team if one (or more) of their riders is in the Polish Ekstraliga meaning Glasgow are at an advantage. His comments about doubling up being a problem are good to hear as I think it undermines the integrity of the Premiership. I think it might take the death of the national league and the lowering of the age limit in the Championship to do it but I like the idea. Maybe to set the ball rolling new rules can be put in place to slowly see the change over multiple seasons (max 2 premiership riders in a champ team?).
  17. You could say the same about Lindgren, Lambert (and MJJ IIRC). They (especially Lindgren) got chances to prove themselves but did not take it. However they improved and here we are with all three being really good in SGP.
  18. Kvech is better than the majority of the riders in that GP Challenge tonight.IMO
  19. I should add that Kemp, IMHO, seems to be settling to the circuit and rode a couple of very shrewd races, adjusting to where the chasing rider wanted to be.
  20. Yes, good point. Ht 15 especially you could see him riding wide to allow Kemp free rein on the inside line, checking his position repeatedly. Nic's always been about speed and flow in his racing. The track could have been built for him!
