Only 2pts for Jenkins tonight at Oxford, and he ended the night with a fall... Comments: Stopped. All bar Knudsen down. Kerr gates but Knudsen passed on back straight. Jenkins round Kerr bends 3/4 to put Cheetahs on a 5-1 but Jenkins does a 360 and Kerr and Starke run into him B1 L2. Both pirates up. Jenkins still down. Jenkins now sat up and taking buggy back to the pits. Looks in a lot of pain. He is excluded.

Is there trouble nowadays?

The other thing I have noticed when doing research and google flagging me posts on this site from 10 plus years back is how many people no longer post here unless they have rebranded, I reckon there is 30-40 of us on here which again is shocking for when you think about what the sport used to be.

I think it was Mike Parker not TR as he was hoping to open Barry

The BLRC at Hyde Road was always an incredible meeting, all the top riders a line up that was better than the world final, 20,000 crowds, and the fun fair as previously mentioned. I also loved it when each track had their own individual meeting The Golden Hammer at Cradley, The Brandonapolis at Coventry, the Internationale at Wimbledon, and The Pride of the East at Kings lynn imagine individual meetings and challenge matches drawing crowds today?

I remember Brandon always being criticised for a lack of dirt.

Sorry to interrupt, but just thought people might be interested. Just had a chat with Middleditch to ask about Tobias's foot. Apparently it was just a sprain, and he will be back for next Wednesday.

See, that’s my point. We don’t normally win at home by big margins. Our bigger scores were mainly due to crap performances from the opposition. Unusually in Edinburgh’s case and Oxford and Scunthorpe have no real substance this year.
-
Oh, I surely do Lisa……lol

And all the different fans from each track mingling, without an ounce of trouble

Do get the impression that this is a”going through the motions “ exercise.

That doesn't matter. FIM maintain a clear hierarchy of events, and that's what dictates things. -
I think the only way Poole will be racing those teams, if it is one league

Not a day goes by where I don’t feel sad not having Coventry racing. I really, really hope we can see Brandon back some time but the longer it goes on, the slimmer my hopes get. 😞
-
Well, here it is. Please let this be the last time we’re doing this. 😞 The final time bikes will roar around Perry Barr. A sad, sad end to a turbulent few years for the Brummies. Wishing Tolley and the Birmingham promotion all the very best for the future and hope that they can end with a good crowd for what will be an emotional night.

Those were the days - I can remember at Sunderland, back in the 70's - a Clerk of the Course named Nel Revlis - was named in the Programme. I wonder who that could be? 🤣 Things like that happened years ago - and it was entertaining. Appropos the 'Lay Downs' - they were the ruination of Speedway for me. Those and the GP's !!!!! 🤬 -

He did, v Leicester on June 23... -
SHEFFIELD: Jack Holder, Anders Rowe, Josh Pickering, Nick Morris, Chris Holder, Jye Etheridge, Leon Flint. LEICESTER: Max Fricke, Luke Becker, Ryan Douglas, Kyle Howarth, Sam Masters, Drew Kemp, Joe Thompson Anything other than a home win would be a disaster for Sheffield morale wise going into the play offs. Leicester have beaten us twice already round Owlerton. last visit Kerr and Sedgmen scored a shocking 1 between them, and in my opinion were rightly replaced with Morris and Etheridge. Kemp and Thompson scored paid 12, they’ll do well to do the same tomorrow. Becker back in the team makes Leicester weaker as an away team but still are the form team for me going into the play offs. Sheffield to win 50-40. If the tracks as good as the BV meeting should be some good racing
