Glasgow started the meeting well after 5 heats thought they were going to run away with it, but credit to the Bandits they never gave up (well most of them )😂and a TS at the right time and some shrewd changes by the TM it all came good thinking there will be a couple of them feeling under pressure after that showing by JJ, sublime by PK got blocked by his teammate on bend one of heat one , for Glasgow,Bomber and Flinty get pass marks from me,more of the same next weekend please

As regards Vinnie Foord, he was injured early in the season and was out for a while, it will take a bit to catch up the riders who have been racing all season and get up to speed.

Well done to the Gladiators and that heat 15 result. Onwards and upwards with two of UK speedways ultimate professionals. Take a bow Scott and Danny. From the updates it seemingly was a great meeting on the best night of the week to run. Well done to all involved.

I was disappointed when it was announced we had Kerr in the team. He was next to dreadful last season. Just generally poor with added bike issues on top. And so many duff rides where a reserve would get in front of him and he couldn’t get past. However I will eat humble pie as he has been much much better so far this season and done a good job. I hope he keeps it up.

Looking at tonight's results made me think two things:- * I hope Plymouth stick with Tom Spencer, * Glad Poole dropped Rowe and kept Kerr, Plus congratulations Workington good to get some points on the board, note Vinnie's not exactly pulling up stumps, so many people posting to keep him at Poole as I remember?!*:?

£15 might be a tad on the dear side. 12 heats in and hour is the NSS average and 400 attendances will be what we are looking at should one “big” league kick in. Absolutely the way forward as we tip over the edge to oblivion.

Well done Bandits. All things considered including the position we were in, it’s another bitterly disappointing result. These types of meetings distinguish between title challengers and those who fall short. We’re short. KJP and Hausl will have cost an absolute fortune in mobilisation costs which makes performances like tonight unacceptable. Heat 14 was a disgrace.

Doyle is only on a 28 day contract, so averages wont come into play when dan is ready to return

I know it's the wrong thread, but I'm currently at the NORA meeting Mildenhall v Norwich. 15 quid to get in and 12 heats completed in just over 1 hour. Around 400 here I reckon and not bad. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but it's not bad and has to be looked at as a way forward.

Wouldn't mind hearing the general comments of anyone who may have bought the stream as to what they thought about this meeting. The Cheetahs fought back from a 10 point deficit after heat 5 to being just 2 behind after heat 13. The 4-2 from Tate and Max in heat 14 guaranteed the minimum the Comets would get was a draw and the 2 points were secured in a last heat decider in which McDiarmid somehow failed to make the 2 minute time allowance and was replaced by reserve Darryl Ritchings. This may well have been more crucial if Sam Masters hadn't shed a chain whilst leading heat 1 turning a 2-4 into a Comets 4-2. For the Comets it looked like it was going to be good day for Niklas with a dominant win in heat 2 but after running a solid third in heat 5 he seemed to lose his way a little. Vinnie riding in the difficult No2 position will probably also be a bit frustrated after relinquishing good on track positions sticking to the inside line. Good performances from the top 3 who scored 37 of the 48 between them went a long way to seeing the Comets home and the wins from Tate in 12 and 14 were crucial. Young Max displayed his battling qualities and improving race craft and can count himself very hard done by to be excluded by the referee in heat 12. For the Cheetahs Sam Masters was his usual classy self with most of the others chipping in at times throughout the meeting. Edward Kennett caught the eye considering his time away from the track and should do a solid job for the Cheetahs. UTC !

I know I can be a bit thick at times... but I can't see what is "complex" about holding a Grand Prix at Belle Vue and then holding another Grand Prix at Belle Vue the very next night with the same riders, staff and officials (and fans) 🤔🤑

It concluded with what some on social media have dubbed 'the greatest Grand Prix final ever: Aces favourite Brady Kurtz snatching victory in a truly thrilling final. But when asked about a third potential year of back-to-back meetings in M12, Mayfield Sports Events founder Coleman was quick to remind everyone of their commitment to growing the series on a global scale. "Listen, the calendar is quite a complex thing," Coleman said. "I'm not making any promises because we're working very hard on overseas events. "That then dictates how many races we've got left to fill in Europe and there are lots of things that need to happen alongside all of that. Coleman stalls on third Aces double "The calendar is already starting to take shape, though, and I'm hoping that in the next eight weeks I'll have a bit of a draft calendar together, and then we can see where we are." Coleman couldn't hide his delight at the success of both events last weekend, though, and felt the many developing stories within the World Championship standings added to the atmosphere around the track. Just been looking at the Aces team averages. The limit for top six team building is 37. Belle Vue are currently 0.86 over this total and are replacing a rider with one having a lower average, which is fine regardless of the top six total. If Bewley is in a position to resume racing this season, it might not be possible for him to takeover from Doyle without making an additional team change to keep under the 37 limit.

Interesting comments regarding the Jay Cartmell Memorial meeting by Baz today. Lineup consists of past, present, and potentially future workington comets riders. Also seen Cookies family at the speedway today. Nice to see them there.
