  1. Past hour
  2. Etheridge almost looked like he fell off by himself there, seemed to have recovered from the initial contact and then binned it by himself
  3. Because he was half asleep by the looks of it 😴
  4. With gates 1-3 being constantly better at Oxford every week and majic winning the coin toss why did he give the choice to Sheffield ?
  5. Brady as other things on his mind also no risks needed !! ipswich looking likely to finish top and Aces 4th so like Rob said testing & set ups !! priority !! and keeping injury free of course !!
  6. I ment Plymouth's new signing at Number One. He will score a hatful tomorrow im sure on a track that suits him. Im amazed he and Plymouth have gotten away with it. Then again maybe I shouldn't be.
  7. The situation with Klindt is an absolute joke, cannot really blame Plymouth its the knobheads in charge of the sport who keep letting it happen who are to blame. same with Knudsen at Oxford. How many meetings has he missed now?
  8. Result is meaningless as not going to win, I’d use it as a testing session to test some setups etc, certain riders could reduce their averages a bit.
  9. Yes, any signings had to be made before last week's home meeting against Berwick. Apparently they had someone lined up but couldn't get his visa sorted before the deadline.
  10. I’m not praising BSI I’m just saying discovery are dreadful
  11. While this is true, it really makes little difference who the riders are, yes sayfutinow and laguta should be there and I hope they are back next season if nothing else just to prove they are not the threat to the championship that people think they are, imo they are no better than holder or lindgren who are top riders but never really look like a world champion, yes laguta did it once but he isn’t that rider anymore but he should be there
  12. Less points money for the promotion to pay,win win really 😀
  13. Rubbish. He did very well and was open and frank on here at the time. But a few took it on themselves to insult him and the team so that was that. Led to the dramatic 2004 WC at Poole in front of ten thousand fans and the final heat, where Hans Andersen took it on himself to block Nicholls allowing Peter Karlsson to win it for Sweden. Plus Nicholls IIRC pulled up when a member of the crowd flashed a red light.
  14. Double Ippo to win -14 and Lynn to win -16 @ 3.64 Treble Ippo -14 win, Lynn -16 win, Sheffield to win @4.55 Just a tenner on each. Good luck if having a bet.
  15. Today
  16. But Plymouth keep winning at home. We don’t want to win by too many.
  17. One of the main problems with the SGP is that the line up doesn't contain the best 16 riders in the world...
  18. Great post. That was the start of a great run for West Ham; Simmons effectively rode as a heatleader for the rest of the season and Tony Clarke was alively presence at reserve, so it was no surprise that the Hammers made a clean sweep of the honours available to them. In the interests of fairness, it should be pointed put that Wimbledon were without Trevor Hedge, so effectively the Hammers were only one heat leader down. Still a great performance, though.
  19. As a lifelong Birmingham supporter, I wish Swindon folk every possible success in their efforts to revive the Robins. I have just been shown a copy of the leaflet beind distributed by the "opposition" and fully agree that it contains a great deal of inaccuracies especially the noise levels ("Can be heard from 10 miles away" "As loud as an aeroplane" etc) which are patently untrue, and which will need to be challenged. I'd suggest forming a group to formulate an alternative leaflet which could contain all the true facts - noise testing will disprove the "excessive noise" claim. Speedway bikes do not use petrol or diesel - they use methanol which is non- polutive, non- toxic and emits no smell. Speedway matches would be limited to once a week starting at 7.30pm and continuing until 10pm with 15 one-minute races of o ly four riders. etc. etc. etc. It will be a mistake to try to belittle what the Nimby's are claiming. We have to remember that the vast majority of the people living within the vicinity of the site will know little or nothing about speedway and will find it difficult to distinguish fact from deliberate fiction. so the more information that they can be provided with. the better the prospect of getting a planning consent. I was heavilly involved with the battle to obtain a planning consent at Birmingham in 2007, and know from experience that the hard core opponents will never see reason, but on the other hand, the majority will tend to be reasonable if they are civilly approached. The very best of luck to you. T
  20. Hope its a good one, it was a draw in the KOC meeting.
  21. Please no one tell them about Workington - who have crowds of about 200 and had to shut their doors a few weeks ago despite being this so-called brilliant track.
  22. Yep...you are in for a treat weather wise. The forecast for Saturday is simply stunning ! Max Temp 21 Degrees. Hopefully you will see a good deal of racing, which many other tracks find difficult to provide ! Enjoy your visit !
  23. Finally found a bet that I like, A Treble @ 7/2 IPSWICH -14.0 (A number of BV riders simply can't ride Foxhall for toffee and I doubt Kurtz will go in Ht 15 when he'll be thinking about hunting down Zmarzlik in the GP's) KING'S LYNN -16.0 (Birmingham are just awful and if they manage to put up 30 Points then they've done well) SHEFFIELD to win.
