That was the plan if entain would play ball, wolves on a Monday and cradley on a Wednesday, under separate promotions giving entain double the rent but that’s a no go at this moment in time, finding the sites are not really the problem, it’s the councils, they say one thing in public but do the opposite in reality

2027 - 8 Team Premiership
YeOldPitGate replied to CTRSports's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well we did get Linda in the travel lodge room with the used McDonalds bag pulling out team names other than that as far as I'm aware errrr nothing. -
With the great Foxhall Stadium holding next years British GP, in order to maximise the potential attendance of the event is there any chance that the 3rd and 4th bend terracing will be reopened and available for spectators?
-
Any mileage if the right sight could be found central to them both running two teams from the same track Dean like Inter & AC Milan do in footy , appreciate finding a site is easier said than done.

King's Lynn Stars 2027

I would say both to different degrees he said a few years back he wouldn't subsidise the stars to the levels he had previously , he thought Brady would be the man to hand the club off to but we know that didn't work out, equally I don't think he wants to see the club fold even if it made his life easier but he's not going to go all in on a knockout team in his late sixties and risk losing his retirement pot. - Today

GP venues and news for 2027
Racin Jason 72 replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think the seating is part of the requirement to hold such an event. I remember the very wet SON and hardly anyone used it over the week. Complete waste of money. normal FIM bureaucracy I guess -
Had a few Skid. Will read it and reply tomorrow. All the best

GP venues and news for 2027
Neila replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
If belle Vue takes up the option to host the single GP in June, a few things will determine how many fans might attend, if the cost is high to factor in the cost of building the stand, fans won't buy the tickets, also oasis are playing in Manchester that weekend, and hotel prices are horrendous, so travelling fans will be put off attending. A lot of things are going against belle Vue taking up the GP option in my opinion -
So: 1. Charles Wright 8.67 2. Jake Mulford 5.13 3. Jody Scott 6.00 4. Jason Edwards 6.28 5. Danny King 7.76 6. Ace Pijper 4.15 7. Charlie Southwick 2.00 39.99. would be a solid team, if the limit is 40. Personally, I love Jason Edwards he's one of my favourite riders, but I'd like to see him move on, keep the Redcar team fresh and have Jason move on and improve himself, staying at the same track for years on end is never a great idea for progression.
-
Probably very little change if still 40 point limit. NO. 4 JASON EDWARDS NO.6 ACE PIJPER =40 Points exactly after Brit reduction
-
Yep, 5.00. much more manageable average than Matias Nielsen (who'd make a very good number 1)

Could Swedish tyre deal benefit Britain in ‘27?

When "engine room" riders in Poland can earn £800+, per point, in Polamd's second tier, you can see why getting even that level of, (non GB and Aussie rider), over here is a big challenge... -
The weather for tomorrow is going to be dry. Any rain about is going to be to the west of the country so safe for Pirate fans to travel the 5 hours north. As it’s on a Friday we are aiming to leave Poole about 11am to have a stop on the way up and get there in plenty of time. Last time I went to Scunthorpe was a horrible wet night and we were well beaten. Hoping it will be a good meeting with plenty of great racing with both teams giving their all. Pirates to a rider will need to be right up for it and I am sure they will be. Really looking forward to it. Up the Pirates!

Still nobody is trying to get wolves back, there are a few fans keeping the name alive with banners at different tracks but nobody is really doing anything, me and heathens next generation have had a conversation with the stadium manager at monmore a few months back who was very sympathetic to our plight saying it wasn’t the stadium that kicked wolves out it was entain itself and he forwarded an email to entain on our behalf, they did say no to a return but used the words not at this time ??? Does that mean maybe in the future ?? The point I’m making here is it needs someone who is a potential promotion to approach entain, it’s no good me doing it as I’m just fan, on another note, nobody has tried harder than heathens next generation to get cradley back, we have visited many locations with 2 being absolutely perfect locations had been identified, we have done everything including plans, deals and everything only to run into a brick wall that is the council, we will be trying another location next week but it not through lack of trying, I just wish the same could be said about wolves

I'm looking for these junior results if anyone can assist. The matches followed the corresponding senior fixture unless otherwise noted. Just the results and confirmation of the date will suffice. 15/08 Boston v Peterborough 03/10 Boston v Ipswich (followed Boston v Newcastle) 15/08 Mildenhall v Ipswich (followed Mildenhall v Glasgow) 21/09 Milton Keynes v Peterborough (see note below) 28/09 Milton Keynes v Mildenhall 10/10 Peterborough v Milton Keynes Note 21/09 - Milton Keynes have been confirmed as having also been at Leicester that night so the date may be wrong. Any further info appreciated. I also have a date of 22/08 for Mildenhall v Leicester but two Speedway Stars (16/10 & 23/10) say Leicester were due at Mildenhall "last Sunday". That could mean 03/10 (Peterborough), 10/10 (Weymouth) or even 17/10 (Ellesmere Port). Any info on this one also greatly appreciated.

I suggest Pay Rates is what is keeping most of the riders out of GB Speedway. With no big Sponsor and poor Crowd levels things won’t change. -

Some comments on social media have suggested that members of RHAG cannot be trusted, that individuals are looking to make a profit, or that we are simply “getting the begging bowl out”. Nothing could be further from the truth. No one is profiting from this. The suggestion that anyone from the group is doing so is insulting to the number of people who have worked tirelessly, given their time and committed their own money to get us to this position over the last 7 years. Do you realise the time, effort and money that has already gone into reaching the point where the group is a Rule 6 party and hopes to instruct a leading KC to fight for the stadium and track at the Planning Inquiry? The stadium could have been long gone six years ago, with football pitches potentially in its place. Instead, a number of people have continued to fight to keep the stadium and its future as a sporting venue alive — particularly when dealing with individuals whose spiteful actions have shown little regard for planning laws or the importance of protecting a long-standing community asset. This is part of the wider problem with speedway in this country. Too often, people believe that signing a petition or submitting an objection on a council planning portal is enough. It isn’t. That is one reason why the sport has lost so many tracks over the past 40 years. The governing body and much of the fanbase have, too often, stood by and accepted the loss of tracks rather than fighting to protect them. To fight effectively in the planning system, you need professional expertise. Lawyers, planning specialists and other professionals need to be paid for their time and expertise. That is where donations are going. Positive thoughts aren't going to help. So rather than criticising those who have got off their backsides and put their own time, money and effort into trying to save Rye House, perhaps they should be supported. We don't require any thanks or a pat on the back. Just send a small donation. If you have ever followed Rye House, supported the Rockets, earned a few quid out of the club or have an emotional connection to the club and stadium, consider donating the equivalent of the price of an admission for one match, a round of drinks or a takeaway. If you choose not to donate, or simply aren’t bothered, that’s entirely your choice. But don’t criticise those who have put their own time, money and effort into fighting for Rye House, and then complain about speedway continually losing tracks or say how much of a shame it was to see what happened at Rye House. Forget the individuals. Put your donation into the fight for this 90-year-old club and stadium. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. https://gofund.me/89d0fc2dc
