Age shouldn't be restricted to U21 as that forces the Premiership to be a training ground due to the numbers available now, and that shouldn't be acceptable in the top league. At least with U24, all rider's would mainly be fully developed and safe in ability. The Premiership is about getting our own to that next level by their 30s, which is now (in general) the peak of a rider's career. We must, in the main, slow the process down of our kids and make them 'Work' for Premiership spots.

While there are no assets, riders and clubs still have a contract with each other. This is usually for one season, but could in fact be more. Although we all know it happens, a club should not approach a rider (nor a rider approach a club) until the active contract expires.

As riders are no longer assets of a club, which rules are they breaking? Unless the rule is "you can't approach a rider until after the season has finished". So, what are the rules ?

The Colts will return IF we have a developmental league. I’ve seen Colts at 6 & 7 literally wobbling at the beginning of the season but by the end they are a lot more proficient. What we can’t have and was the reason for our withdrawal this year was a situation where a junior team had a high average age than The Aces. Granted we have been addressing the average age of our squad for a number of years and it looks to be another thing Richard Coleman wants to emulate. The fact the team with the higher age, prefixes its team with the word young adds insult to injury. I have though enjoyed the junior events we have put on with over 30 heats run efficiently on sunny Sundays but I do prefer the team events. Note. This is even in a season where The Aces replaced a 27 year old (due to the rules) with 37 year old.

History thus warns us of what can happen when the top league pulls successful clubs out of a well-run second division. It might annoy you but Onesport who pay a fraction for the SEC rights compared to the GP were muscling in on using GP riders in the series and this was a FIM compromise. Only GP riders that finish in the top 6 of the SEC standings can carry on in the SEC the following season- none can do qualifying or be wildcard picks.

I think your taking things to the extreme. The fuel is not completly frozen it is chilled below the ambient temp in a fridge or freezer. Some riders are bringing portable chiller units into the pits where the may keep the fuel or frozen air filters.
