Racing incident IMO, Nicol did nothing wrong either. Kemp cut under Bailey just as Nicol was coming round inside, neither could have anticipated what the other would do, if they even saw each other. With the track being extremely slick to cope with rain you had to be aggressive to get anywhere, unfortunately another downside of October speedway.

I dont get why the test match upsets you so much . We're in the fortunate position to own our stadium, so we could squeeze a test match in that week and aqueeze anything else in any other day as long as the other club and riders agreed .

Nonsense I have a text from someone in the pits well before 6:30pm confirming the Ambulance breakdown and also on this thread it was also mentioned well before the time you state. If the call didn’t come through until 18:45 as you say what was the reason the riders didn’t start to warm up their bikes then? Did you not think that odd ? Perhaps if you had asked why they were not preparing to race they would have told you!

At this rate the Poole and Glasgow riders will need to do another pre-season to get up to speed again.

I understand the costs of the ambulance & staff is more then £1000 per match. The ambulance has been coming from the west midlands for over 5 years now without any serious issues till yesterday , no local private ambulance is willing to provide an ambulance to speedway due to the high risks involved & the same company provide all the medical staff as-well as the ambulance.

Godfrey has already said he is not in favour of an independant person/body running Speedway, Its what many fans think is needed but most Promoters seem blind to the obvious, decisions are taken by the BPSL which favour certain Teams, but are to the detriment of the Sport as a whole in the UK.

MPT declared himself fit to ride for Peterborough tomorrow. If he comes through that ok ? will he than ride for Redcar on Tuesday. If he does he will need to do 5 rides as he is one of the R/R rides for James S. Hope he is ok, but it will mean him riding 3 times in 4 days Mon/Tues/Thurs. With 2 dodgy fingers seems a bit of an ask.

Seeing you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about I’ll give you some information to help. The club tried to run the 2nd leg of the Redcar match last Tuesday/Wednesday, however there wasn’t enough volunteers/track staff to stage it. Hence why we had to go with Friday again. Thankfully we have enough staff to cover the meeting this Tuesday. Hope this clears it up a bit for you.

Yep it's a deliberate ploy to try and stop the two best teams from winning the league. Play offs are bad enough but to have the top six involved is crazy add in the fact that they are being held in October and its madness.

Take your league win, far as I'm concerned you top a league you win it. Honestly I'm over it this season. But to gave a go at one of few successful promotions in this country for trying to PROMOTE the sport is absolute nonsense.

Not necessarily, could have been a technician. The paramedic is in attendance as they can administer certain drugs, techs can't.

So that's ok Aarnio, is riding on continent so why as he not been Riding for scunthorpe Pijper as had his license taken off him for fighting at a British youth round I'm told. So he's banned

I just can't see Michael Palm Toft being the kind of rider who would pick and choose meetings without good reason. In my limited experience of him he seems a very genuine guy. It's easy to understand how he might try to ride last Thursday, struggle, then pull out of Friday. However if he rides on Monday I would have thought he has to ride the next day or forfeit the facility.

Our crazy pole will be eyeing up a few victims of the bend 4 inside kamikaze move.

This has been a holding year with Eurosport as it looks like British speedway along with the GPs will be shown under the Discovery+ identity. And maybe with different commentators for both the UK product and the worldwide feed? Although Kelvin does a solid job, Nigel has come across as disinterested and error strewn this year, almost like someone who knows his time is up. It’s a shame, really, because they used to make a good team but that just hasn’t happened this year. I’m not sure who could or would replace him - hopefully not another ex-rider - but I think both Nigel and speedway would benefit from a parting of the ways…..in my opinion.
