Sensible decision, as per Scunthorpe v Newcastle and Leicester v Berwick as well, but prepare for someone to turn up tonight, who hasn't checked all day to see whether it was still on or not, and complain that they weren't personally notified5 points

Fair play to Plymouth I'd bought an Online Ticket for this match and had a very polite "match off" e-mail off the Club / Ticket Agent at about 10 past 8, well before anything appeared on Social Media. Disappointing but I'll look forwards to the rearranged fixture.4 points

Team changes are fine, but what about team managers? Would it be worth bringing in Trevor Swales?3 points

Rowe wants to ride more in Poland where he has offers, good contacts from a spell in 2020 and also potentially fast bikes prepared by one of the top UK tuners based over there. If that's where he wants to focus people should respect that and he certainly doesn't have the big fish in a small bowl some UK riders suffer from and have all of their careers. He's not going to be riding for any Friday / Saturday / Sunday track in UK on that basis and as U24 league is on a Tuesday in Poland that really narrows his CL options you'd think for a home track and he'd miss a lot of away matches. Fait play to the kid, he's showing ambition3 points

What if the dog isn't at all bothered by the 'noisy environment'? I always took a dog with me when going alone to Oxford, Wolverhampton, Peterborough, Coventry or Leicester. None of them have ever shown the slightest concern about noisy motorbikes, in fact quite the opposite as they just went to sleep on a blanket while the match was on. Border Collies too that are supposed to be lively.2 points

The Gb standard he probably deserves a nomination, but can’t believe he would take it up.( might miss a lot of guest bookings if he is GP rider next season)!!!2 points

Interesting sidebar here, in that all the moaners who claim they were left standing outside the turnstiles when a match has been called off earlier would have no worries if they had -- as more and more folk are doing, for so many things as well as speedway -- booked online. It really is the way to go in 2022.......2 points

The bit in bold make it sound like you are questioning BV as a racetrack based on last night alone, if I've misunderstood you then fair enough. Last night was a half decent watch without hitting the heights that the NSS has on many previous occasions, I think the missing riders contributed to that and R/R is always a nuisance. There is no if, BV is by far the best track i the country and very rarely is the inside line the quickest, usually there are multiple fast lines.2 points

I...er, he...does after buying petrol to get to the West Ham reunion a couple of weeks ago!2 points

you could also say, if Brennan had used his second bike from the start. All if's and but's. But that's speedway2 points

Boring meeting only kept interesting by the close score line . If that's the best track in the country.. Ipswich must be 2nd. Another track where going the shortest way round wins the race.2 points

Totally agree with you, got to put feelings aside & do what's best for Glasgow. Which in this case is giving an unbeaten rider an extra outing!2 points

But he 'bangs the drum' when there is cause to, and with British speedway it's so often because it is run so badly. Happy clap if you like but the fixture planning, the team line ups and as a result the crowd tonight were embarrassing. I'm surprised so many people paid £20+ to go and watch it.2 points

Can I hear that big negative drum being banged yet again? You must have very tired arms.2 points

I live 7miles from the centre of Leicester and seven miles from the stadium. It didn,t stop raining until late afternoon and so the call was right in my opinion.2 points

Hi Norbold I think I paid around £15--£20 for the programmes. But I have seen a excellent condition programme go for between £30-£50 which is surpringing for a vastly printed programme from 1961. Each copy has a unique number on the front cover.1 point

Doyle off 1 and Batchelor in Heat 15. Hawkins doing an impression of Mark Lemon imo. Should've been Doyle off 3 and King in Heat 151 point

I've been watching speedway for over 50 years and have seen fences made from railway sleeper (Crewe), plates off a battleship (Exeter) as well as the usual wire or solid board fences and have witnessed horrible crashed and injuries occur with every type of fence tried. Yes they get caught in the wire fences but equally rider bounce off solid board fence backing onto the track and riders that were behind them. I don't know what the answer is but sadly with the nature of the beast that is speedway I doubt we will ever find a totally satisfactory and safe solution.1 point

The call was definitely right!! I've been to the track today, could not even walk on it without it clumping up on my boots, not a chance of getting a tractor on it today, I have taken around 20 thousand ltrs of water from the drains and track tonight.1 point

Do people hate Glasgow? I dislike them from a rivalry perspective which I think is to be expected. I’d support Glasgow over Poole any day of the week though.1 point

There is 0% chance of Adam coming in to replace George unless more changes are made to the 1-7. Its an interesting position we find ourselves in given we have fixtures on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday this week. If we are to replace someone in our declared line up it would need BSP approval so can’t see many chances to do so this week, unless the outgoing rider is happy to race despite being moved on. In my view if we don’t get an announcement of a change tomorrow then we will most likely have to wait a little longer for a change to the side than the statement from Rob suggested. Fingers crossed the promotions hard work pays off and we do manage to strengthen the side before this weekend.1 point

Neither am I, probably jealousy that we are still going as many opposing fans predicted we would be a car park within 5 years, the fact that we are getting recognised for top FIM meetings, the list goes on, they hate us and Poole for different reasons1 point

Love Lublin What an atmosphere they create... Imagine that over here? "Sit down, stop making so much noise"... "You're sat in my place, I always sit here". "A big happy 76th birthday to Betty whose favourite rider was Ove Fundin"..1 point
