When they showed the league table they had a column for draws !!!! luckily with this wonderful superheat that ain’t possible anymore.5 points
-
God they are wetting themselves over this superheat.Imo it doesn't do anything more for the sport at all.5 points

Why is it taking so long to sort out the Barker situation. Not as clear cut as seems. They are denying him the chance to make some money and help out Plymouth injury situation.5 points
-
Everything else is blamed on Poole. Barkers self inflicted ban has to be Poole’s fault as well. Goes without saying.4 points

How about a grading system. get the refs thinking a bit and cause some controversy at the same time. Do we need to automatically exclude a rider? In a 50/50 accident have all 4 back. If a rider is deemed the cause of the stoppage then re-run but with a handicap (or a "Yellowcard"). If the rider is seen as dirty rider then exclude them from the race (Red card). Imagine the boos from the crowd when that happened. Top entertainment. Oh, we can't have that can we. And put the ref's phone back by the start line. Nice for a bit of old-skool aggro.4 points

was in Slangerup last weekend and their track was far far worse with torrential rain still coming down .. they got the meeting on same afternoon3 points

Can’t speak for all of them but some are even before tonight, I did 5 rides with an anlas at 7psi on the Isle of Wight Thursday night with no issues and it was very slick but was doing around 3000 revs less as I was on an upright GM, I’m sure there is a lesson in there somewhere3 points

Don't think that matters believe he's also failed the B test. The hearing is just to decide on the punishment3 points

... pairs of underpants in case they suffer any more spectacular bursts like Basso's last week.3 points

Being perfectly honest after 20 years I am thinking of giving it a miss next year, this years GP was utter crap racing wise, and ticket and hotel prices are just ridiculous.3 points

You said the same thing about a 1000 times . there are loads of points why they have them . Do you think its would be more appealing if a team went miles clear and the season was over by June ,,, would be no point in people going .. Plays offs have nothing to do with why Uk speedway is rubbish as nearly every sport used them including Speedway in Poland and Sweden , Sadly is just said by old people stuck in a time warp3 points

Bit of a joke, top heavy teams benefit massively from this. It should be the number 1 and 1 reserve. That would be a fairer super heat.2 points

And that's why I have never liked Batch,,,, can get beaten by anyone,, and had no fight to mix it,,, so shut off2 points

Steve cmon Plymouth can’t do anything about the weather it’s been awful down here give us a break and just calm down a bit please would you rather your fans got here because you think they should have waited until tomorrow money is tight for a lot of people and I’m sure a lot of pirate fans are happy it’s off so they don’t have a wasted journey wasting money on fuel etc to get here and it’s off I think a lot of your posts are very sensible but please show a bit of common sense on this one thank you.2 points
-
I no there’s banter between both sets of fans but honestly the weather here has been awful the last 48 hours and the track is under water maybe if it was dry all day tomorrow you could get a meeting on but it’s forecast to have a bomblast of rain between 1 and 4 so it would be bikes going round but not racing and surely the travelling pirates fans would not want to see that.2 points

I fully expect the Poole leg to be postponed as well.2 points

We have a ridiculous 6 team league thats seen the top 4 decided by July with essentially nothing to ride for until the play offs.2 points

If that is the lineup, it’s a strong one.2 points

Good job in covering the tie, I didn't Thankfully turned a profit due to Batch, Tungate & Basso though. Hope you made a profit too considering the tie is offered at a big price.1 point

Nicholls is responsible for this tonight, chucked away 2 third places when comfortability chasing for the lead the first 2 laps. Anyone blaming Harris is stupid because this is the first time this season he’s had an absolute shocker. Nicholls is too blame, should know how too ride the track now1 point

Can’t the Poole promotion simply part the waters on their arrival? Maybe turn a little to Wine?1 point

The business side of football is money laundering at worst and tax off setting at best and gets a play thing thrown in and to a very lesser extent so is speedway although speedway’s is so small it doesn’t create a ripple in the financial world or even in the British tax system, the tax man has stuck his oar in a few times over the years but nothing ever comes of it, I’m yet to see an ex promoter living on the streets after his club folded owing 1000s to every man and his cat1 point

You can see an email being sent about a "failure to secure the site"... I am sure that will be sufficient....1 point

Not just Plymouth, but any track in this country that is unable to stage a meeting 24 or 48 hours after some rain, seriously needs looking at, is the drainage up to standard? Is there enough equipment on site to carry out heavy remedial work on the track? are the staff knowledgeable enough to use said equipment? What is the quality of the shale? is it mainly clay based or are there a lot of stones in it?1 point

I trust this is just to get a bite from the original comment but nowhere does the poster blame Poole…1 point

I’m sure he did. It sounds like a great night. Just a bit like having the office Christmas Party on a Monday in June. Always likely to be some collateral damage.1 point

Where has this been confirmed about Greyhounds ending in January at Swindon, thought it was their main site? I feel for Swindon fans, I worry we will soon also be in a very similar situation with GI behind it all. The councillors really need to wake up to what’s happening.1 point

Interesting to see that even the crap and discredited BBC Meteo service have now woken up to what all the more trusted ones have been saying for 3 or 4 days Heavy rain sometimes torrential and high risk of thunderstorm in Plymouth and Poole from tonight until Thursday. Will Mr Ford be able to find a suitable date, after all he told management committee it had to be Wednesday 6th or nothing. Can't get the staff on a Friday allegedly. Plymouth will be fine... Any Tuesday will do. Will Poole have to forfeit if they can't stage before cut off stage for QFs?? Shovlar weather forecasting about as accurate as his match reports. Crap and biased.1 point

OK here goes- I contacted Reg Fearman. Arthur does not use e-mail, but Reg took the trouble to contact Pam Warren ( ex-spouse of Graham Warren) , and also Peter White the Australian journalist and member of the Australian Speedway community and they both confirm Arthur is 99.. So it looks like he WAS indeed born in 1923. I will update his birthdate the next time we update the oldest World Finalist list. It's great speedway people are so helpful, particularly as some are getting up there in age. I was glad to see so many forumlanders wanted to ensure this was corrected1 point

Enjoyed our trip to Redcar again but making a habit of coming off second best. We blew the first leg with only a 4 point lead but once Super Sam blew his best engine while leading heat 5, we were in trouble. Way too many 0 scores and not even a ht 14 from Paco Superb from Josh as usual Congrats to Redcar and we’ll meet again next weekend1 point
