Its on them to keep the fans interested, just look at what Glasgow do compared to Kings Lynn. Do some giveaways, some interviews with riders, look at the history of each rider, some stats on how each rider goes at Lynn there are a lot of options for things they can do during the off season.6 points

As ever it's all cloak and dagger How hard is it to be fully upfront with the Rising Star criteria and a full list of who qualifies? Similar applies to a full list of team building averages for EVERY rider. There is no reason it shouldn't be there plain as day for all to see4 points

Certainly was, rather than take part in a farcical inter league challenge with at least one rider representing both teams!!4 points

Really??…….I’d love to know how you could possibly know these details?……..are you the team accountant?4 points

Not sure how things escalated so quickly on here. Oh yeah I do, @HGould and his loosely named 'facts' which are more like fantasy!3 points

The last rider to get a guarantee at Poole was Greg Hancock. Riders get paid points money and any sponsorship they can garner.3 points

I am very disappointed Danny won't be back next season and it isn't about the numbers game, they obviously prefer other riders,, probably Steve Worrall, I would prefer Danny king every day of the week.2 points

If Harris is Glasgow bound the one thing I will say is he won’t find it so easy at Ashfield as he did at Berwick riding at No1.Berwick was right up his street but Ashfield is a much tougher gig as it’s a well liked and a racers track.Shielfield was not so popular.2 points

No issues at Rawicz. Lots of redevelopment going on there and a wealthy owner. It's a completely different place from even 5 years ago.2 points

The man that led the Pirates to consecutive league and cup doubles, Danny King, will sadly not be a Pirate in 2023, Poole promoter Dan Ford has confirmed. "I am absolutely devastated to have to let Danny go" he claimed, "but it was a decision that had to be made on numbers alone. We had hoped that the points limit for 2023 would have been held at 42 as per the plan agreed previously, but the reduction to 40 points has scuppered our initial plans and we had to shape things differently. I can assure Poole fans that there has been no falling out with Danny and indeed we are hopeful that he will return to us at some point in the future as he has been an outstanding Pirates. He is a brilliant person and so easy to get along with and I stress that it is only down to the numbers game. I am sure that every Poole fan will want to wish Danny all the best and join me in thanking him for the past two years' service to the club." King himself confirmed that there were no hard feelings and said "To say I'm gutted is an understatement. I have really enjoyed my time as Captain of the Pirates and leading the team to the double two years running. But I understand that sometimes it just comes down to business and it's a numbers game. I would like to say a huge thank you to the fans. You have been absolutely amazing. To Danny, Matt and all at Poole speedway, thanks for the opportunity and allowing me to be captain of the Pirates. I must also make a special mention to Middlo, his track record speaks for itself and it has been a privilege to work alongside him these last two seasons. Of course, I can't forget Havvy for keeping the ship sailing on the road - it has been awesome working with him again. To David at Wessex Marine, thank you for all of your support and becoming a good friend." "It's been an honour to wear the skull and crossbones on my chest. Hopefully it won't be for the last time. See you all at some point next season." https://www.poole-speedway.com/news/view/2022-11-28-NUMBERS-FORCE-DANNY-TO-MOVE-ON Now that is how you say goodbye to fans2 points

Multi million pound business man 0 trophy's Jump up hair dresser 26 trophy's Certainly no comparison2 points

Riding at number five is no different to riding at number one. You meet the same opponents and race in heat 13. It was moving out of the easier number four position that was Bens problem in the latter meetings this season.2 points

A multi million pound business offering transport solutions to thousands who may otherwise not enjoy opportunity to travel v a jumped up hairdresser. A family that pumps tens of thousands in to Team GB and young British talent v a Club that seems to want to help Australians, Danes anyone but young Brits. Yeah some comparison... No comparison.2 points

Not when I've seen him he doesn't. If he doesn't gate he has never done much from the back. Every time he went to Plymouth he'd given up before heat 1.2 points

Someone had mentioned that's not the case because the advantage Belle Vue would get for Brennan, other teams vetoed it. Believe it's still just the 2.5%2 points

Has to be expected....Glasgow fans would've been in uproar had they let him go ! He must've been on most fans wish lists....2 points

If Schlein can make a comeback, how about Shane Parker? I know he’s over 50 and has had serious heart problems but why let logic get in the way of a BSF post2 points

All the above are valid points but Mildenhall have largely always been in the same situation and mostly got decent meetings on most weeks with only one or two bloopers a season. Sadly now its reversed and one or two good meetings is clearly not enough to keep crowd numbers up. Sunday tracks will always be good for NDL riders but not if preparation is poor. Mildenhall lack the right equipment and approach to produce decent racing now. The giant tractors do more harm than good lap after lap and attempting to create a grippy surface on a track with very little run off is always going to cause problems (especially as it just makes it patchy) . A slick surface might create a bit of dust but it would also pump meetings through in a sensible time frame.2 points

It was just a season review of his season at belle Vue. Nothing else in it. he did one for Glasgow a few weeks ago and not belle Vue. he is back at belle Vue. Stop overthinking at things2 points

I would say I’m British as well if it meant I could start my speedway career much easier on a 2.00 average than a 4.00 as well. Nothing against him just taking advantage of the system. I’d be doing the same.2 points

Why not it's filling a space and giving the Geordies something to do Workington were on the championship page until recently we had 4 years without a track, , we are now on the national League page2 points

The aim is to have an official club launch before Christmas... the web site is good to go so once the launch happens WorkingtonComets.com will go live... still a lot to do track wise from now til Easter(ish) start meeting and we may have to start off with the site running on generators as Nor-Web aren't making any friends by dragging their heels on the installation of the new electic supply to the track... local MP Mark Jenkinson got a special mention for all the effort he was putting in to make things happen along with Allerdale Council... nice to have some friends... Entry prices and corporate package proposals are being worked on and the team manager has the team lined up and contracts will be put in front of riders very soon... AGM team build points limit depending... Supporters club and the Friends of Workington Speedway will be resurrected in some form or other... and the VIP sponsers box will be open to all... not just companies for corporate entertainment... First meeting... the track... the ground and finance were discussed in full and a dozen other issues were parked until after the NDL AGM however there is still a great deal to do before we turn a wheel at Northside.... but the will is there to make it happen and be a success... He was ok when he was at reserve for Poole but he ended up a poor second string and only came good in the odd race.At Wolves I think he has been poor most of the season at reserve. Personally I don't like his attitude and I don't want him back at Poole.1 point
