To be honest the Seasons fixtures are that disjointed the a lot of fans are losing interest with weeks between fixturesIMO.It was a mistake not to have 2 home and 2 away in the league.IMO.Not everybody wants a double header or a Bullets fixture.6 points

Is he though? How can we be sure that Bartosz is the best around if he cannot prove it against the still undefeated 2021 World Champion? At the moment his wins are "asterix" wins. He is a Joe Frazier rather than a Muhammad Ali. He may well be a class above any other rider now, but he needs to prove it because last time he was pitted against Artem Laguta he lost. The Russians need to be there.5 points

Let's be honest, the promotion aren't going to do a Press Release at the start of the season and say "Sorry folks, but you've got a poor team team watch this season. We've got it wrong this year", are they?4 points

I personally think they should go back to the old system of every point counts towards your total4 points

Yea it's shocking that the best rider wins every year.. Not sure what this closed shop is.. You have a route to make it to the GPS if your good enough..The old system. One off world finals was a complete Joke and rely on luck most of the time..3 points

The Berwick track isn't the worst imo. Their meeting on bsn was far better than meetings at Poole and Edinburgh and not just because we won!! The team was always poor, I hope have signings lined up as and when new averages. Can't help think be better for both parties for Leon to have a couple seasons away if he's ever going to become a top CL rider3 points

Jesus Christ! Lighten up, and stop taking everything so bloody seriously! The two of us had been joking about things this afternoon, and that's why I added the sentence about the miserable buggers who were complaining about the racing - and everything else. Anyway, if Doyle hadn't hit that rut, I don't think Zmarzlik would have caught him...3 points

Nicki P refused to continue a meeting for Grudziadz today because of the track. Maybe he should just retire if he doesn't have the bottle for it anymore.2 points

Maybe the polyfoam sections should be manufactured with 45 degree ends so each section slots together. Then if the fence was fitted so that the joint went left to right no rider could go through the joint as it would be going in the opposite direction.2 points

They want them to stay and be available to guest.... Just in case Poland decide to run some meetings tomorrow....2 points

But up from when? As they certainly ain't up from 10 years ago or 20 or 30. Prob up from the covid years when people stayed home2 points

Most fans who follow the sport closely can pretty much nail most play off and wooden spoon contenders well before a race is run.. And they also then pretty accurately predict what impact any changes made will have.. They know that, in the main, the riders average, and past performances at their own track, will be the key determinate on how the season unfolds.. You dont get too many surprises in Speedway, especially when you are dealing with riders of five years or more experience, who will pretty much be, in the most cases, at or around the level they will always be at.. If a team looks a wooden spoon contender in the eyes of a clubs most loyal followers, it will be based on some quite considerable knowledge, and very often, proved correct... Promoters on the other hand, have to talk up their teams, as predicting a poor season isnt generally a great idea... Deep down though, if they have even the slightest idea of the sport, they will know what they have... And if it looks like a bottom of the table team, then, most seasons, it usually will be..2 points

Nobody knows... and if even R&R can't get it right, the ultimate test, the scoring system is not fit for purpose2 points

Zmarzlik is a class above this field even in tricky conditions. Good to see the Brits go relatively well although Woffinden + Bewley will be disappointed not to of made the final. Great to see Lambert make the podium.2 points

Deja vu. Bartosz' only competition are riders who were banned due to politics.2 points

I really don’t understand the whinging about the racing, hardly like they can do anything about the weather. Believe it or not you can also turn it over and watch something else…crazy I know2 points

I believe it was her first meeting as Secretary. She is sharing the role with Mike Poss. To come to the decision regarding 8th place you first have to trace the races where the riders met. Then you would discover that, as per the SGP Regulations (9.2 Page 22), A beat B, B beat C and C beat A. Thus bringing in the rule regarding lowest SGP number. It all takes time and you want to be sure that you have got it right! KanDysoft no longer provides FIM with Software. I agreed to step aside due to the fact that Baansport can provide a far better on-site support. They have similar software but I believe that the change in software (for Referees & Secretaries) takes a bit of getting used to, as is to be expected. KanDysoft software gave a quick look up guide to the heats, but I'm not aware as to whether the Baansport software does this. Glad to say that my own copies of SGP software (Just £12 for the whole series, and you can do a print out with the Rider names for each SGP!) gave the correct S/F line ups.1 point

At least there was a plan then with bringing over Rymel, Makovsky and Franc, I doubt there`s even a plan now.1 point

Yes, they have clearly decided not to fix it, even though there are two fairly easy ways to do so (extend the WiFi, or get 4G compatible payment terminals). Edinburgh manage to make it work despite their entrances being a long way from the main bar area.1 point

Everyone banging on about Zmarzlik being a cut above… Yes he is currently the best around but if Doyley had of not hit a rut he probably would have won it …. Likewise the Brit boys handing him gate one in the semi Zmarzlik is simply the most consistent makes every semi where as riders like Madsen and Janowski always bomb out once or twice like tonight … and even Tai Lambert and Doyle will have meetings where they done make the semis … Zmarzlik seems to make every semi and often turns that into a final1 point

That's great and we all hope it lasts but let's see what the trend is over the whole season. Early season optimism will evaporate for many teams and as @mikebv says once guests really kick in it will make it difficult for many to take it seriously and keep going. Guests certainly put me off going, my team are likely to have two this Thursday and that takes the shine off for me personally. I wish I could switch off the part of me that cares about the integrity of British speedway and just go and watch my team and the racing regardless but I can't. I want my clubs seven riders to race for my team and not somewhere else, or be worrying about them getting injured racing in the Championship. Doubling up and guests have got ridiculously out of hand and the sport is in a mess, it needs a complete overhaul from top to bottom and fresh governance who can run it properly and rebuild it into something that patrons and sponsors can take seriously. We need lots of clubs to be well supported and financially sound, not just a few.1 point

Well done to all the British lads , hope their success from last night carries on for the rest of the season and we see a close contest for the title.1 point

Jan O' Pedersen hasn't defended the 1991 title yet so everything since then has an asterix. Laguta no doubt had a fine Dave Norris season in 2021 but, as with all Russians in sport, you have to question whether they were up to something when they win. Going from a bang average gating tart that struggled to make the top 8, to the worlds best in 5 minutes was no doubt 'fishy'. Zmarzlik has proven it over a number of years, only failing to medal once in SGP. Would Laguta have coped with the technical Warsaw and Cardiff tracks in 2021? We'll never know.1 point

Good Post,100% agree. I seem to remember when the WTC was at BV( original format) the Qualifying Meeting on the Friday night was poor racing because the track was grippy( Think Iversen either broke the Track Record or was close to it). They slickened it off for the Final and it was some great racing.1 point

Superb from Redcar, only Flint and Coles deserve a mention for Bandits. How the Redcar Heat leaders can win by the length of the straight with ease beats me.No doubt it will be “set up” or “track prep” that caught as out as usual. The Bears certainly had the track sussed after one ride.. All the action was finished by the end the back strait 1st lap.Poor value for money.IMO.1 point

No, we know it's not the greatest racing track, but the fact that they were able to put the meeting on at all was fantastic. As I said elsewhere, speedway is often ruined by the weather. That's not going to change anytime soon, so we have to accept it. Constant whining about it is not the solution, but it seems to be what a lot of people want.1 point

With the amount of debt this crooked lot have run up, I can't see that happening. It's a huge plot and with other pockets from railway sidings etc nearby, worth some serious money. Would also cost the council a pretty penny to buy the lease back.1 point
