  1. I just checked the Eurovision Song Contest website and he definitely is.

  3. Who actually struggled with the track tonight? Doyle, Emil and King were brilliant, Rew done well again, Riss got a solid 5 and he's been riding like that all season (Tailed off but picking up 3rd places), JT stayed upright although tailed off which is what he does in the Premiership. Picko had his best meeting ever around Foxhall, Young Edwards got stuck in all night and was impressive for his age, Lawson got what everyone thought he would get pre-meeting. Hume's performances was rider related rather than track related, Seen him take so many falls on BSN under no pressure. Lambo got bodied by two sublime riders in Doyle and Emil to a point where his ego couldn't take it. Howarth was dreadful in the KO Cup Final around Foxhall so his performance wasn't track related tonight. Holder is just mentally weak who's mentally beaten before the meetings start at track that's aren't Polish carpet rugs. Mountain isn't good around Foxhall, Ipswich would've stuck by him if he was.

  4. So all roads lead to Glasgow on Sunday at 6pm, when the super strong Tigers take on the Pirates. With Vissing fit but likely to not ride, Glasgow can use riders on form to more than cover. Complin tonight showed what he can do around Ashfield and will probably get 6-7 rides in the first leg. Pirates job is to keep it tight and the last time the two teams met here ended in a two point win to the tigers. However, since then Glasgow have strengthened up with Tarasenko coming in, making them favourites to win the title this year. But Poole never give up and even coming into the final as underdogs, will fight for every point and try and retain the title. The odds might be stacked but we will fight all the way. Should be a great couple of matches. Bring it on!

  5. I've seen some funny things said before,,,, but Hume a future heat leader has got to be one of the funniest yet.

  6. Great comeback from the Tigers! Well deserved place in the final and probably have a better chance of beating Poole all things being equal track condition wise. But... what on earth was Cami Brown doing leaving Ace Pijper in for a 4th ride! I know there's been question marks over his team management in the past but that was absolutely unforgivable team management! Pijper spent most of the night on his arse while Complin was riding out of his skin to drag his team over the line. 'mon the Tiggers!

  9. All this slagging off uk tracks, just to put it in to context Lambert won heat 5 last night with the fastest time of the night, which I think I read elsewhere on here is the 5th fastest time of the season. So the track can’t have been that bad. His issue is he can’t hack not only being beaten but beaten by a mile by two superb top class riders. The other point is look at all the horrendous injuries that have occurred on the supposed super safe well prepared Polish tracks over the years. The real issue is to be successful in the uk you need to have some real skill & throttle control.

  12. AEPG in desperate need of positive press on the back of almost 1500 objections to their Showground development plans. All seems a little obvious and more importantly, desperate.

  13. Rollers aided by the fact he was often a mile behind the tapes - which the starting marshal completely ignored. And, obviously, the referee wasn't bothered either.

  14. Confirm no tacticals in two legged event. £4 would be the approximate cost of one meeting using the BSN season pass.

  15. How rude of the Glasgow riders and management not taking the feelings of the Poole fans into account when we fought hard to make the final. How completely inconsiderate

  18. Here we go again….. trying to run speedway in the wettest place in the UK at the beginning of winter. No doubt that Poole will find a dry Wednesday way before Glasgow have a dry day this side of Xmas. So disappointed that Oxford fell at the final hurdle - would have been a very well attended local derby vs the cheetahs, rather than a remote contest attended by a sprinkling of away supporters.

  19. Should be the same guests as the first leg, another thing which makes the sport look amateurish, Sheffield using 9 different riders for the final.

  20. Buster clearly doesn't care about the club hence why we'll have a budget line-up, Buster just wants gullible punters to chip in with the 2024 KL Stars budget. Keep the faith in our team behind the scenes that's working hard, Even if we have to sit 2024 out, It's worth taking one step back to take two steps forward in the future if it means we don't have to put up with Buster anymore.

  21. Pickering was a complete contrast however - Lambert whilst making perhaps some valid comments probably only one (or maybe two) about the heat 4 incident just came across so badly. Sadly for me he has blotted his copybook and the fact he keeps turning up for (mainly) playoff finals is somewhat infurating, he needs to commit to a full season next year! Does he say the same about the KL track he rides each week? (genuione question!) He is a very good rider - possibly not as good as he can be, or thinks he is yet! The greatest riders can ride all tracks which has often been the reason some top riders insist on riding in the UK its keeps the sharp.

  24. This is most certainly not over - (some) Witches fans may feel they have one hand on the trophy but there is all to play for. Track has been catching Danyon out all year sadly, he does have a tendancy to drop it just when he is in a scoring position, that seems to be the nature of his style unfortunately. The only decision to my mind the ref got wrong was heat 4 Interesting contrast in the interviews at the end - Pickering who is a great rider in my view was pragmatic and up for the final leg - Lambert just came across as a prima donna who didn't like the fact he hadn't scored more points and had been badly schooled by Doyle and Emil in heats 13 and 15 when he really should be looking to do better. Don't even get the fuss about heat 15 Doyle rode out wide to block the move - something that has been around in speedway racing since it started!! Even Abby seemed taken a back by Lamberts sourpuss grumpy face interview, come on Robert you are better than this! The racing at Ipswich will always be different from the Bowl like Owlerton / Belle Vue but there was passing its just that often the Ipwich riders were in front. My preference is to always have tracks like BV and Sheffield but I live in the real world not some the fantasy land that so many seem to inhabit. from the Ipswich perspective is imperative Doyle and Emil receive backup tomorrow King is capable of riding Sheffield pretty well so his contribution will be important - Pickering will be a major threat he is capable of scoring 10 maybe 12 in this. Lets hope that there is no bottom lip from the losers on Thursday whoever they might be!

  25. “I’m really happy with the result, it was a really tough battle. We managed to come through it and get a decent lead, so I’m delighted with all seven of them on a tricky track tonight due to the weather we had last night. I’m delighted with the boys, and it is a good lead, but we know Sheffield are going to come strong on Thursday. “It was a brilliant performance from our three heat leaders, they won a lot of races. Heat 13 and 15 were crucial 5-1s, that is eight points up in two heats and they could easily have been shared heats. They have been superb all season and we have talked a lot about it, you can’t put into words the job they have done, and they have come up trumps again and what a pleasure they have been to work with. “It was tough out there tonight, 13 out of the 14 riders attacked the track and battled hard. It felt like a battle, and it wasn’t enjoyable conditions for anyone to ride in, but it couldn’t be helped. The weather played its part which it does at this time of year, and it was a proper final with two teams battling their hardest. I’m sure it will be the same on Thursday. “We had concerns having to move it to a Tuesday and clashing with the football team who are doing great this season but wow, you came out in force again. I spoke to everyone on the mic to re-iterate again, thank you for all of the support, you have made the world of difference to get us in the position we are in. We have come from the brink, and we now have a great opportunity to make this a legendary season.” Hawkins concedes the track was difficult and holds his hands up but people are going overboard in their criticism here. Most of the comments on here are from people who don’t live in Ipswich and didn’t see the rain we had Monday evening and then again Tuesday morning. No summer sunshine or heat yesterday to dry the track out either. Similar to last week for the Belle Vue semi, it literally pi$$ed it down at 7.30 just before the parade!

  26. When you look at the effort lads like Hume and Edwards put in for their sides then watch the complete inept effort from holder all meeting it does make you wonder why they bother with these half has beens in this country. Just desperation I spose

  28. What in the world of utter crap are you talking about, if I was still a smoker I'd want some of whatever you're puffing on. Glasgow haven't even come close to beating Poole over two legs in any competition they have faced them in. So there are Zero Odds stacked against you and you are most definitely not the underdogs.

  30. As said, racing not the best due to the track and a start line 6 inches deep.... But sheer excitement for the glasgow fans. Hats off to Lee Complain who somehow managed to go above and beyond and absolutely refused to lose. We will never forget his efforts tonight and neither will he. Amazing night for the Tigers.

  31. Racing not as good as normal at Ashfield due to tricky track conditions and dubious preparation, but still an exciting tense meeting. Glasgow got lucky in heat 12 - why wasn't Complin in it in the first place? Lee the match winner in heat 14 with a brilliant first lap - so pleased for him. Congratulations to the Tigers.

  33. You must love Tatum who stumbles and stutters his way around trying to relay what he is seeing into words and by the time he has the chequered flag is fluttering away. David Rowe makes your average speedway heat sound interesting and definitely makes the sport come across as more exciting to your average Joe Public.

  34. Ipswich have rode away at Sheffield 3 times this season once in the Cup and twice in the League and didn't score less than 39 in all 3 matches, hopefully the trend will continue this Thursday.

  35. It doesn't matter if the track is like a ploughed field with a high risk of getting seriously injured as long as its the same for everybody.

  36. Lambert is a Norfolk boy and doesn't like Ipswich, just like the w@n@er signs he was giving to the fans as he walked back into the pits. He was pi$$ed as he got owned by the top two in the league, maybe he wasn't on a guarantee and he expected it to be easy money

  37. Don't think so, he sits on the seat too much going in, making him more susceptible to grip changes in the bends, very difficult to guide this out of someone.

  38. He came over for easy pickings and found he was riding at Ipswich when he expected the final to be against Belle Vue, unlucky Robert.

  42. Especially when Adam Ellis who he came in for is a very good at ippo. Obviously they didnt know when they made the changes they’d have us in both finals but gotta say Ellis and Kerr would’ve outscored holder and the two guests in the two Foxhall legs by probably 10 points

  43. In fairness Hawkins concedes in his match report that the track was very tough last night - due to the bad weather Monday night track prep yesterday was very difficult. Louis said on the mic last night wasn’t his choice for the fixture to be moved to so any notion Ipswich doctored the track doesn’t hold weight, they’ve done the best they can in the situation that presented itself due to the weather conditions. As for lambert moaning, yep Hume should’ve been out, but in heat 1 he shouldn’t be moaning Emil was allowed back in after getting a huge shove from howarth and getting locked to lambert, frankly I think there’s probably only a handful of riders in the world in that moment that could’ve done what Emil did to avoid a huge huge crash, Robert lucky he wasn’t sat up in the diner yet he’s moaning Emil got back in the race?? also I liked Hawkins comment in his report that 13 out of 14 riders made the best of it and got stuck in and attacked the track in tough conditions…dunno who he was referring to? Any guesses hahahah weather was fine here the last couple of weeks btw and it’s wasn’t our meetings that hadn’t been fit in in time for the playoffs to be staged on the original dates. disappointed it’s not a bigger lead with Danyon throwing away points in several races but if you’d have offered any Ipswich fan an 18 point lead going into the second I’m sure we’d have all bitten your hand off for that.

  44. Poole underdogs, you're having a laugh. They've won every 7 man competition since dropping down & have twice thrashed Glasgow at Wimbourne road this year. Bearing in mind Brennan doesn't go well round Poole, r/r for Vissing weakens Glasgow imo. Poole still clear favourites for me

  45. Well its advantage Ipswich. The plan had to be keep it tight and we managed that for a short while, but wilted in the second part of the meeting. My view Hume should have been excluded in heat 4, he cause the the tangle between him and Doyle, and luckily he did not cause Doyle injury. Emil in my opinion did the equivalent of a professional dive in football, but to be honest if it was a Sheffield rider I would want him to do the same. I am sure that there will be people complaining that a team that finishes 4th in the league are likely win the league, but we all knew the rules when we start season and no one should complain. For the meeting on Thursday we need the Sheffield spirit of 30th September 2010. But congratulations Witches you have one hand on the trophy.

  46. Can’t argue with that. Saying Woffinden should be gone is like saying Hamilton and Alonso should be out of F1. All time greats, probably past their best, but still comfortably among the elite.

  47. Yep, I can't stand him or anyone else who uses our league as a cash cow. That's why I've got so much respect for Jason Doyle because he's always been loyal to our league.
