Lovely lad, 100% commitment every race. Feel like at 26 Danyon has reached his level tho, which is a good middle order rider in the second tier and reserve in prem so for me the likes of Jenkins, flint etc would be more favourable moving forward given they’ve seemed to reached a similar levels/surpassed Danyon slightly when several years younger and more scope to continue progressing next year to even higher standard. This year if Erik had been fully back to his best and Danyon hadn’t fallen off twice in the home leg of the final in scoring positions we’d have been champions - Ellis should be a big upgrade on the Erik we saw this year and Jenkins a rider with more potential upside to grow to higher level than Danyon through the season so we’ve significantly improved our weakest two team spots in a team that came within a whisker of winning the lot this year!4 points

You people need to stop biting. Orion is a sad little tool who only posts controversial takes for bites and you’re all making his life easy by jumping straight in his net.3 points

Man U didn't choose not to take part in the FA Cup. They were instructed by the FA that they had to compete in the World Club Championship as this would help the English bid to host the 2006 World Cup. The tournament clashed with the FA Cup 3rd round so they had to withdraw, and the media put all the blame on the club at the time2 points

This is a terrible side .. What is more amazing is people on facebook etc saying its a great side .. i must have read the names wrong to me a bit and pieces side that will get crushed in heats 13 and 15 week in week out2 points

Chris Harris at reserve? He can then effectively "guest" for riders in his own team2 points
-
Very decent team, can see the reserve berth being a bit of hot potato with a different rider every month where that riders average sky rockets. Can see all but Janowski potentially spending time there - it worked for the Panthers when they won the league in 2021. I'm not a big Janowski fan, but it's good to have him back in UK league racing.2 points

Should have been Cheetahs in the Prem, Chargers in the Champ and Spires in the NDL in my opinion.2 points

Might be too early for this given not everyone has released their lineups, but from the confirmed/rumoured lineups these are my predictions: 1. Sheffield Tigers 2. Ipswich Witches 3. Belle Vue Aces 4. King's Lynn Stars 5. Oxford Spires 6. Leicester Lions 7. Birmingham Brummies1 point

I’m stunned at this announcement, never saw that coming. Think we should drip feed the Promotion the team just too mix it up.1 point

Looks a good team to me, can't agree with the very odd poster who thinks it looks poor. Great number one, solid throughout & possibly the best reserve in the league. Bringing riders back to the UK, using 4 Brits, what's not to like? Ok one thing, that there is only ONE Spire / Cheetah doubling up is odd to me.1 point

Fair enough, I stand corrected... i must have fallen asleep during that bit I didn't realise the evidence documents were available online... very interesting, thanks1 point

It's all down to the averages, if certain riders were available or wanted to sign then trigger would have been in the team as he's not I'm guessing Garry and Mark have gone a different route. Personally I think the change of track and a new challenge will bode well for trigger and on the plus side he's still a Plymouth asset and local which could come into play in the future.1 point

Would have gone for Dan myself... especially in the aggregate bonus point era we're now in, he could rack up some decent scores at home, assuming he can also get a PL spot, as his lack of track time last season seemed to effect him quite badly1 point

That is the nature of the 38 point limit, bringing in the youth lower down & losing a mid to top end rider.1 point

You wouldn't, you're a Lynn fan aren't you Should be a good season for KL next year but I'm sure Birmingham will have a stronger line-up than the has-been poles.1 point

It must have been a draw surely? No other way it should be done.1 point

Let’s face it, he’s only putting a team in to make up the numbers to keep the NDL going and obviously needed a helping push to do that, but at least that is doing something !1 point

As a Poole fan, obviously I am a massive Janowski fan, don't what there is to dislike about him, committed, great rider, very entertaining and all round nice guy. He certainly wont throw the towel in and quit after one bend like Nicki P. at Peterborough.1 point

I hear you, but..... I can't see that line-up brining the fans back, or 'new' ones in ..... just saying!1 point

Yeah, as a fan, I would want to win the cup - so to not even be in it is a bit of a blow. I'm guessing there's been a lot of compromises from both sides (BSPA and Oxford) over running in all three leagues.1 point

I'd imagine this will be an ignima of a side, when they're off the boil could be shocking. If they all click though, will be quality1 point

As a bit of an old git nowadays, one of the biggest whines I've heard over the years from supporters of many teams is we have different riders every year. Oxford have 7 riders who rode for the club last year. Four of them and potentially five if Cameron Heeps rides like he is more than capable of. I'm happy with the team, we might win the wooden spoon but I doubt it. Last season I thought we were way too top heavy, I was wrong. All I know is the season ain't over till the last heat, I'll be there for every meeting I can get to in all 3 leagues.1 point

I no it’s not really my place, but I hope it’s positive news about your stadium, riders come and go but Wimborne road is iconic and needs to remain a speedway stadium. I have good memories of many many years ago playing football there and it having Astro turf for corners because of the shape in the beazer homes league, unfortunately the dogs went, the football moved but the speedway needs to stay.1 point

Thank you for this acknowledgment of us being champions in 2023 for the cup ☺️1 point

A signing that will go under the radar. Jordan got better and better as the season went on for us last year, He's also a very good gater.1 point

I agree with most of your comments except that some blame must rest with the BSPL who have effectively said no to Mildenhall running a few open meetings. Why anyone would want to work with a regime that tries to prevent you operating a business at any stadium and earning some income from the assets that they hold. It is largely the attitude that caused Kent so much grief and it was the last sort of pressure that Si Kellow needed given his poor state of health. You would hope that the governing body would have worked with Kent, but no not this bunch. You have to wonder who is really behind all this and then wonder whether they are proud of their actions. Two more tracks probably lost to the sport who join a long list and no one on the top table really cares as in each case they are sitting thinking i’m alright, why bother about anyone else. No wonder the IOW got out, it will not get any better. Still one positive for the BSPL, four less tracks to have to administer in 2024.1 point

Very often, when a speedway promotion say 'we are taking a year out', it's the end. I can't see how speedway in the next 12 months, as a whole, is going to turn things around, for a promoter to say 'now is the time to run a team'. All very sad. Unfortunately, I said many years ago that speedway had to change and the costs were too high for those involved, but time after time (on here), I was told I was being negative. No, I was being realistic. The riders and the tuners have killed a sport, which at best, should have been, for many years, a semi-professional sport or even better, an amateur sport. Speedway will survive, but team/league racing will disappear in Britain, in my opinion.1 point
