Anyone who says they wouldn't swap out a perfectly pleasant, 26-year-old, reserve journeyman, for an 18-year-old, next-big-thing, exciting talent, is either lying or foolish.6 points

Maybe even his s/way career just feel he is at that stage where he may well be best calling it a day ,done it got the badge job done .3 points

I'd be more worried by those numbers if it was his 2nd or 3rd season, but as it is it's his first visit to many of the away tracks3 points

Any other Peterborough/Speedway fans from around the late 80s early 90s think looking at this picture of Tate Zischke , see Mick Poole's hair coupled with the face of either Nigel Sadler or perhaps Rod Colqhoun , uncanny or what !!! https://britishspeedway.co.uk/rowe-motor-oil-premiership/aces-move-for-zischke/3 points

Again you have used common sense which goes against any sort of reality that the bspl work on. The argument in 2023 was that clubs that had NDL leagues couldn't get the track times required to run the additional meetings. 2024 excuse had something to do with lack of unicorn horns or pixie dust. What will be the excuse for 2025 be. Glasgow have invested in television advertising which I've spotted on sky sports a couple of times but what use is it when we have 2 home meetings in and 8 week period, it's absolute nonsense. For the teams that don't make the playoffs this year, there will a 7 month period of absolutely nothing.3 points

That’s good news because if the sport loses one of its flagship teams it could be the beginning of the end I hope the pirates have many more years to come.2 points

How much do you need? Owner of the club makes no effort to try and save the club. Ritchie Hawkins has done more in the fight to save Peterborough than club owner Buster Chapman which basically tells you everything that you need to know.2 points

Can we just stop talking about this meeting please and let it drop it's way down the forum into oblivion. I'm trying to forget about it!2 points

Which is why I don't understand the hosts being seeded to the final. Losing out on a second big crowd. Even if the hosts don't make the final (not likely) there'd still be a good crowd.2 points

Very many good riders worked and raced in the 80s 90s and early 2000s.So wouldn't be too bad for the sides who sadly don't have the infrastructure to compete hence the reason averages are dropped every year to keep them competitive2 points

Enjoyed the meeting last night (which is fairly rare). Thought Laguta had a lot of speed. Hopefully get Artem back in the Sgp asap.2 points

When Buster went on the mic at Peterborough and told the fans NOT to protest or object to AEPG was for most fans seemed he sided with AEPG. So the question gets asked why? People will assume / come to there own conclusions whether correctly or not.2 points

Gordon Pairman in last weeks SS did a very informative Q and A, and suggested all the legal threats were basically not worth the words... And bemoaned the fact that instead of allowing the IOW and others to possibly develop riders, the BSP did their utmost to try and stop them.. But, to be fair, he always seemed to come across as someone with common sense...2 points

You have to turn left at all tracks and if your fully conversant with scunny it's shaped Like a D so on the back straight your wheel are never in line. To me it was a hard but fair race until rider looks at you as he comes under you and runs you up to the fence . Then starts throwing punches after and is fined by the ref . No hard feelings on our part but the big Baldy bloke and the Weasley mechanic need to look at themselves2 points

That can only be good news. Does that mean the hold up was not on Busters side after all ?. And more that the consortium don't want to buy it yet, until a track/land is found.1 point

That’s great news. This information shuts down some of the conspiracy theories going around. I think that’s very positive news.1 point

When I look at a rider I like to look at the riders average. On the surface for a first season 6:96 is pretty impressive. But if you break his average down he is averaging 9:38 at home, and 4:71 away. That is big difference in those averages from home and away, and that would be my big concern if I was an Aces fan. But the Workington track appears to be very much like the National Stadium, so he should be okay at home, but away it might be a different matter. Will be interesting to see if he is the right man to replace Mountain.1 point

The licence for Peterborough will be sold to the consortium once the consortium has secured a track somewhere for the club to race on again and not until then.1 point

A brand new Pirates Promotional video set to drop on Monday, 1st July (just in time for the summer holidays)!! The teaser makes for great viewing should there be any future doubts about how popular speedway and the Pirates are in Poole and surrounding areas! The full version tomorrow should be excellent to spread the word further, especially if its needed in the future for any reason....................!1 point

Can’t confirm 100% yet but it looks as if none of the SON/SON 2 competition over the 4 days is on Eurosport which means it’s all on Discovery +1 point

Glasgow and Poole should be in main league and allow the rest to go back to the days of semi pro riders1 point

Agree 100%. Facenna’s have built up a good support over the last couple of years, now they see about a dozen meetings a season.Must be Frustrating.1 point

Think about it... Everyone complains that Tai doesn't want to "mix it" these days. Over the last three or four years, nearly every time he has looked good, and nearly every time he has tried to mix it, he has been in the wrong place at the wrong time, and has ended up getting crocked.1 point

It is and add in the watering down the product points limit they seem to be trying there best to pi$$ as many people off as possible. Now I may be wrong but I always thought that you offer a product that entices your paying customers to attend regularly , currently the lack off regular meetings alongside a lesser quality league structure is not exactly good business sense , this lies firmly at the door of the BSPL and the promotions must be questioning their decision making.1 point

Which is followed by 3 home meetings then another 3 week break. Think I'd rather we ran all our fixtures and the season finished in July or early August when the weather is at its best than drag out this nonsense and suffer rain offs, slick tracks and poor racing in Sep/Oct. There is also freezing your nuts off for 2 hours on the terracing, not that the customer experience is ever a factor.1 point

That’s Polish Speedway full stop- nothing wrong with that. Up to the tapes and straight. Every league should follow their lead.1 point

Might be worth going to semi final 2 to get bangers and mash followed by apple pie for a paltry £27.99 on top of your ticket price of course1 point

Hodder is almost 20 years younger. Yes Garrad has a better current NDL average but Oxford have raced most of the poor teams thus far and had more home fixtures etc. Garrad is willing to put it about but thats mostly desperation rather than ability.1 point
