BREAKING NEWS.... News breaking in parts of Dorset and Hampshire Shock news that Poole Pirates are NOT the only Team who use Whatsapp / Facetime / Zoom or the good old fashioned Team Meeting to discuss tactis on a regular basis! Middlo has defintely lost the Dressing Room - simply - any one can manage a Team that wins every week, far harder to manage a team delivering below expectations....time for him to earn his money!4 points

These kind of videos need to be shared wider. The fun side of having different nationalities in speedway. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1AkGxoSrVE/?mibextid=wwXIfr4 points

Hits the nail on the head. Riders like Cook / Brennan / Kerr upgrade to either new specialist tuned or ex GP tuned engines and hey presto, they struggle as haven't a clue where the sweet spot in the highly tuned engine is. Whereas solid pro's like Lawson probably invest in one new (but used) engine a season, use 1-2-3 year old engines, standard Tuners not costly uber light expensive stuff and their engines hit the sweet spot 8 / 10 not like rocket ships occasionally but unrideable just as often. Familiarity and sticking to what you know more often than not the best course!3 points

Paul starke could be making way for cairns.2 points

Tom Spencer is available on a 2.00. Looked decent for Redcar. It was a bit of a harsh move by the Bears dropping him as he hadn't done anything wrong.2 points

after tonight is Starke safe or will Ricchings be retained? Next weeks meeting should be good-Cairns, Rushen, Vinnie Ford & Ritchings + more exciting riders. Looking forward to it1 point

Ritchings was excellent, might be worth keeping.1 point

Not for much longer so say it again in a few weeks!1 point

At least you can see that Zach is getting there, Kerr seems to start ok but goes backwards. Anders was terrific again.1 point

He was signed to ride at reserve, if he was signed as a second string that’s where he’d be. You were the one that claimed the Poole reserves are better than a guy averaging almost 10. Obviously been a long day for you.1 point

Palovaara probably scored more in one match the pirates pair all season don’t be so daft 😂.1 point
-
Poole problem is they can’t afford Cook and Kerr to be as inconsistent as they’ve been as they got no cover at reserve as Starke isn’t even as good as awful.1 point

Just my opinion from watching him in 4 meetings1 point
-
Agree it's best long-term to get fully fit b4 coming back but Ipi will struggle without him until he is back coz R/R clearly isn't the answer as proved against Leicester what with Brennan having a blip in form and no Thompson to take extra rides if needed, as already been said if anything Thompson is probably a bigger miss as the ain't no one really who can replace his scoring potential at reserve.1 point

Having watched cairns in his last few meeting he is not the best of gaters but uses his head and 4 laps to make passes at nl level but at Poole he will need to gate as it’s pretty hard to pass if the rider in front has a great line1 point

You’d expect Starke to have the beating of both Plymouth reserves, I expect Ritchings to be amongst some points today aswell. I’ve been more impressed with Ritchings in his few meetings than I have been with Starke so far.1 point

Well I suppose it was as well when he admitted doctoring the track for the televised Kings Lynn meeting. Polished the surface he said. Oh well, sometimes karma gets ya! 😂1 point

Rearranged date will be a normal working Monday. Biggest crowds are Bank Hols and they need people through the gates. Most i know dont have access to TNT sports and so they attend. Strange choice to call it off so early and sounds like it could have gone ahead.1 point

You are wasting your time on this forum. Simply watch, observe and digest if you can and do not bother to respond, this place is no longer for genuine speedway followers but for the trolls who believe that no one else is entitled to a alternative view or valid comment. This use to be a genuine exchange of views from genuine speedway supporters but now, with a few exceptions it is just a cesspool of vitriolic views by few and fewer real supporters of the sport. Watch the response to this to see what it is like.1 point

Lawson is very Professional how he approaches the sport to make money and is very organised .Some riders think the answer is to ride as much as possible and make money without the organisation and mechanical set-up in place.IMO.1 point

Not going to happen I know, but could it be possible to call off a TV meeting, have all riders secretly available. If the weather's half decent, call it back on at lunch time for a 7pm start? TNT wouldn't have time to set up = more through the gate for a bank holiday meeting. 🤔 It's the type of sneaky s#!t I'd try & pull off.1 point

All the riders would be in the country? I doubt that when a hand full of them rode in Poland today.1 point

There is no contact until Doyle leans to turn in, the contact is with the backend of Jensen bike, Jensen doesnt drift of his line, he psssed Doyle fair and square1 point
-
Jensen was in front, hence his back wheel took Doyle's front, and Doyle had ran him very narrow down the straight, not on a "normal line".. By doing so, there was only going to be one result if Doyle didn't move out... I think he thought he could pin him on bends one and two but Jensen was too quick... Good, hard racing from both, but Doyle caused the stoppage by the line he took, and the fact he was behind when the contact took place..1 point
-
IMO engine tuners are like agents in football just adding huge costs to the sport !1 point
-
Wrong,Jensen had the beating of Doyle, Doyle knew it but wouldn’t give an inch keeping a ridiculous tight line going down the straight and at the point of contact which was minimal Jensen was infront and was wrongly excluded1 point

That was 9years ago not 9 months 🤔The fact is not many want to ride in GB when better offers are in Europe. Brainwashed.1 point

I used to hear the argument with pre 65 trials bikes, people were spending £12,000 building trick Ariel HT5's which got the weight down to around 210Lbs for a 500cc bike which would normally weigh above 300Lbs, alloy rims, alloy replica Whitton Bantam hubs with plated brake surface, tubeless tyres, modern lightweight fork internals in Norton sliders, PVL ignition, 350cc flywheels, carbon fibre primary cases, sintered alloy barrel with chrome liner and Yamaha XT 350 piston, alloy guards/levers/bars, NEB clutch foam pad seat etc. etc. Then saddle it with a 14 stone rider !, sometimes the cheapest option would be to lose 3 stone off the rider ?1 point
