I'd be more concerned on why a guest for Cook whose chosen to ride in Poland over the club he captains personally!!5 points

I thought Kerr did tonight what he was signed for. He won heat 14 and he had to do that. Let’s hope he continues to improve and his scoring going ahead reflects this.4 points

Ridiculous that Wroclaw have to use Zach Cook tonight to replace Kurtz... They should be allowed to have used Zmarzlik, Jack Holder, Lindgren or Emil as a guest... Like a proper Speedway league would...😆4 points

Thompson underwent surgery in Bangladesh this week . His wrist is now full of titanium so I’m hearing. On route home he fell out the back of the tuk tuk and sprained his other wrist so I’m told .4 points

A fast Flint. 😆 Funniest post on the forum this year! Well done.3 points

I assume that’s the difference from racing for £1000 a points vs £100 a point. Never have the dedication here that they have there. I think Polish teams run the show there, riders run the show here because they are needed so desperately.3 points

What time does the Lewi Kerr character assassination post usually happen at. Just so as I can get the popcorn on my way home. Thanks in advance.3 points

How on earth does a fixture like this go ahead? Fixture planning at its finest, especially with so many gaps, surely a more suitable date could be found?3 points

Not sure about the team managers decision not to give Masters the tac sub ride! Ok Jenkins was missing in heat 13 - just use Hook, then Sam as a tac sub for Hook in heat 14!2 points

Great analysis, adding to this… next season Poland announced all teams do not need 2 Polish under 24s riders, but they will require 4 Polish riders in each team.2 points

Poland has a perfect "how not to do this" model to ensure that they don't follow... The UK had the best riders and had great mainstream TV coverage in the 70's. Built on a hugely successful national team.. With the domestic leagues living off that interest . They then decided to bring in journeymen from all points of the globe to take up places UK riders used to get, thus, the conveyer belt of UK talent ground to a halt, and teams were no longer made up of "local lads" but overseas riders who got replaced like for like using a revolving door.. With the result that mainstream media dropped their coverage as the national team stopped winning. Beaten by riders the UK trained.. And domestic speedway crowds dropped accordingly.. Move forward to the late 90's and guestfests and doubling up/down started to became rife, because of the lack of riders, due to the fact UK lads were not coming through anymore due to the restricted chances of the previous decade.. Then the GP stars cleared off when the Sky money stopped and left clubs scrabbling around to make enough "decent teams". But inflation busting admission fee increases still took place year on year to see inferior riders race. As fans stopped going, those left, got charged more.. (a great plan).. Poland ensure that their national team is always "in the mix" as they know that this is what keeps national interest, and also ensure that their "conveyer belt" of talent keeps coming through by protecting places in every team for Poles.. They have even launched an U24 league to ensure they get the pick of all the best talent from around the globe, just in case not enough Poles come through of the right level.. Covering all bases in a controlled way.. What the UK did (and still does), Poland will avoid like the plague...2 points

The argument about Starke or Ritchings is put to bed once and for all …. Still find it weird Poole fans thought Starke should go lol Poole do shout from the rooftops when they win and then have to blame a rider or two every time they lose …. Kerr Starke and Thomsen the match winners tonight ….2 points

What is ridiculous is Zack cook was allowed to dump his British team to ride for Wrocław2 points

Obviously im all for Gorzów it being my partners home city, but by the sounds of it, if they can stay in the league they can open up funds and build a solid team next year and come out swinging… that’s my hope anyway!2 points

Cannot imagine a similar situation in the UK. Well done to the track staff for at least giving it a go to get the track race-able. Time will tell if it works OK and hopefully safe riding for all.2 points

Manchester is right in the middle of Britain. Probably the fairest place to hold a G.P. to make sure it's equally accessible for everyone. You complain t's too far for you to travel from Ipswich? Manchester is 230 miles from Ipswich. Ipswich to Cardiff is 260 miles.2 points

Something of a farce. Shame really, as Oxford was one of the meetings I was looking forward to. Sam Masters getting 7 rides is enough to induce sleep. Watching him dribble round the white line whilst half a lap ahead is not my idea of entertainment. I pay money to watch racing, not exhibitionism. He has the highest average of any rider in the Championship and is the only second tier rider with a Premiership average of over 7.00 (indeed, it's over 7.50!). "Look at me... dribble, dribble... I'm too good for this League... dribble, dribble... another win... Ker-ching!" Joy 🙁2 points

Trouble is British Speedway is letting itself be trodden all over nowadays and then wonders where the crowds have gone.2 points

I don't think riding in SGP/SGP2 qualifiers is taking the P out of British speedway. It's up to British speedway to schedule its fixtures better.2 points

Then no one would have any riders! Championship is just a stepping stone to other leagues.2 points

Well done to Poole, they adapted quickest to track conditions and had the experience further down the order to keep it going. I suspect the Glasgow riders wouldn't have asked for a track like that but that shouldn't take it away from Poole. Barker for Boughen was an upgrade, Leon returned to type and we struggled all evening for heat advantages when the top 4 except Harris didnt gate.1 point

It is what it is, unfortunately, but I would suggest that whoever complied the fixture for today, when it was possible riders would be riding abroad, are partly responsible. However, they couldn't also see the riders getting injured (obviously), so a "double whammy". But, with all the blank dates in the calendar, you would think common sense would prevail and they would postpone it until later, but as you are probably well aware, common sense and speedway rarely goes together!!1 point

Shame how many people get to lose out watching a Grand Prix in UK now its not at Cardiff. Surprised to see lots of seats available in the temp stand on the Friday. NSS with the temp stand holds 6500 x2 nights 13,000. Cardiff last year got north of 20,00 right? Totally accept Belle Vue only wanted the Sat night and done Friday more of a favour by the sounds of it. If it wasn't such a drive I would have made the journey on Friday but from Ipswich its a long way on a weekday. Just hopeful that better racing will occur at NSS than the temp track at Cardiff. Can't they move NSS more central in England its more accessible for all fans of speedway1 point

It was called early because the forecast was for poor weather, and the forecast was correct.1 point
