Thoughts with the Birmingham fans at this difficult time. Maybe he was signed as he still has his Brummies kevlars in the workshop, whether he can still fit in them is another matter.7 points

Don't blame Tolley for cutting costs with the amount of money he's put in. Season's over for Birmingham anyway and the fans wouldn't even turn up even if they got an Ekstraliga rider in imo.6 points

Spot on Phil, this is the problem with the Keyboard generation, they chat nonsense without sitting down to actually think about what they are saying. For anyone doubting Brady have a look at Rentrucks twitter post from last night, Brady is dealing/riding with multiple injuries at the moment. If we had those injury's we wouldn't be working, yet this lad is fighting on, the fact he is riding well doesn't or shouldn't detract from the pain he is riding through, but hey you keyboarders keep typing.5 points

Workington have the best track In the championship if not the country although bell vue will argue that.5 points

One thing is for certain, all the moaning we collectively do about the Poles running the sport and ruining it, you cannot knock their efforts/commitment to get riders fit again. Watching the Tai video this week, the Wroclaw sponsors must have forked out a serious amount of money to help him get back on his feet so quickly, same with Brady here and there are lots of other incidents where they have paid for all physio costs. I don't really remember similar stories over here, outside of the Ben Fund (who do a fantastic job) the help riders get from their clubs appears to be very minimal.4 points

The thing is though if you pay for sports TV then paying another £25 to go and watch live is not so attractive, especially as people remember TV meetings being dragged out with all the breaks. The only way to change that is offer discounted admission on TV nights.4 points

Should never of been in the top tier in the first place. awful crowds and not helped by the muppets who run the sport in the UK by pretty much forcing them up. there is certainly no danger of ending the season on a high with these type of signings. the club is run as an absolute joke. Why did everyone know MJJ was only riding till May before the season started yet the club said idiot all about it, just like they did a while ago with the Adam Ellis signing. ever since Birmingham have came back around 2007 they have proved the crowds just arent there. They are national league standard.3 points

Don't see why we can't keep Weds. We already have a Dane and isn't a problem.3 points

I don't think you realise who you are talking to here. Brum has plenty of experience regarding feigning injuries, question is does Brady get paid when he's "injured" and missing?😃3 points

At one point I’m sure the idea of having TV money was so that clubs could discount the prices and attract more to come, the benefit to them being it would look better on TV and attract new supporters but alas they got greedy and wanted both the TV money and keep gate prices high.3 points

why dont you message brady and ask him to show u his injuries, you might stop being a prat then3 points

A mundane run of the mill win with little to get the heart pumping. If the track is as gate’n’go next week the gaters from Ipswich will make mince meat of us. If it’s the usual race track it will be fantastic. Rowes 4+2 was no match for Jans 4+1 from last time and probably cost the stars victory. The win helped put some daylight between us in the qualification table at 8 points (11 if we win the meeting with the Brummies that we have in hand). Will it be enough? Who knows at this stage and that’s what makes the play offs so enthralling. Noricks off night kept things close. His previous league scores are pretty consistent at home with 7+2, 8, 7, 7, 7+2 so hopefully tonight was just one of those nights. Looking at the team declarations he’s one of the better number two’s so hopefully he’ll maintain his usual good form. At just turned 21, he is certainly the youngest and I’m excited to see how he progresses with age.3 points

Great result that especially with Brady riding through the pain barrier. better things to come, don’t count us out3 points

.And require about an extra £5k to £6k outlay to pay for the home and away matches. Even for an "average" Polish top tier rider... Who would put hardly one extra person through the turnstile... That is the reality, hence no point in chucking good money after bad..2 points

Haven't watched it on tv yet so not sure how sparce the crowd looked on the coverage, but I wa actually surprised how many came tbh, what with the TV being there, but also the nightmare journey most of us had to get there🙄 From the pits, it was evident that Dan and Jason being back really boosted the other guys which I think showed in their racing. And that's with 4 of them carrying injuries. It felt like normal service resumed. Fingers crossed all of them can heal well with no further problems.2 points

The. only match that ever looked sold out on TV was when Lakeside promoted the free meeting - a few thousand were there - of course most never came back! I will give our old promotoer his due he really tried to promote things!2 points

He doesnt need to contact Brady... Because he knows more about Brady's injury than the doctor who signed him off... More than even the physio who spent almost a week helping him to ride on Friday (a Wroclaw paid for physio by the way).. And more than Mark Lemon, (an ex rider and his manager), who didn't put any pressure on him to ride at Leicester, as he knew the locking up of the bike on such a track, wouldn't help the injury... And obviously, as everyone knows, if you can complete your rides, you simply cannot be injured...2 points

I know dear old JL used to hate having sky in town as he used to complain that the crowd drop and lack of takings exceeded the payment for the meeting coverage! No idea if its still the same. I personally quite like the highlights they do from the other meeting and have often thought that a match of the day style show would be better particulary if its broadcast a day or so later! Given the fact no one on here seems to truly like the tv meetings maybe thats the way to go. I did watch a meeting on the BSN last week Leicester when they thumped BV and I did feel the production was better etc but again the crowd did look lower to me than it sometimes is from Leicester.2 points

I don’t believe anyone should be stopped from doing any other sport/activity by a club or anyone, everyone should be free to self regulate the danger to themselves, over the years I’ve competed in or had a go at numerous “dangerous” activities and have led by some people’s reckoning to be a pretty reckless life but as a I always say to my Mrs I’ve made it this far and I will probably be taken out by tripping over my slippers2 points

Unfortunately the choices for guest were very slim pickings, I think Rowe was worth the risk as he rides BV well and has been in pretty good form, but it didn't work out. Other choices just weren't in the same ball park. I also think you really need to get out of your black and white world and stop constantly hammering team managers for their choices every single meeting, you keep calling them out for mistakes without really having a clue what goes on in the pits. Perhaps you should ask one or two if you can shadow them on a race night to see what actually goes on rather than being a Clever Trevor from hundreds of miles away.2 points

How about heats 14 & 15 for a start? I know I'm biting to a troll (shame on me I know) but Kvechs 4 last time was in the top five and not on the back of 16, 18 and what should have been double figures in a GP. The way he has been riding I'd not have put it past him to have beaten Bewley and Kurtz but we'll never know.2 points

He’s taken the bait and descended to replying to trolls at their level. It’s their endgame and something I’ve fallen for in the past. They make it a far worse place on here as they infect the entire site.2 points

Ashton has all the machinery and backing the some young riders can only dream .Has talent not sure about attitude and bottle you need though,it’s a tough sport. Time will tell what he does next.2 points

Glasgow are paying riders what the Promotion can afford, that is their perogative, If other promotions CANT So Be It. Think some supporters from other teams are envious what the Glasgow Promoters are doing. We do have the Best track in the Championship,We do own our own Stadium. We can afford riders pay within the promotions budget. Concentrate on your own Team matters not Glasgows2 points

I suppose the other side to that is how many fewer will turn up to watch and how much revenue is lost as a result. I guess Nigel Tolley has done the calculations1 point

Think we have to see out this season out before talking about next season. Things are coming to a head though ,changes will be required in Premiership at least.Interesting times ahead.1 point

Why wouldn't the interests of Poole come first as I would expect the interests of Kings Lynn to come first in Buster Chapman's agenda.1 point

The only reason I can think of as to why Rowe didn’t take Harrison’s place in heat 14 is that he didn’t want to ride 5 rides, as he hasn’t long come back from injury… but if that was the case then we shouldn’t have asked him to guest/he shouldn’t have accepted 🤷🏻♂️1 point

With Kvech Stars would have been comfy winners, Boldorn has not improved Cook not good enough and the worst reserves, this team if qualifying for the play off doesnt get past the semis in my opinion.1 point

Don't you remember Drew Kemp, Jason Edwards and Anders Rowe riding for the Monarchs in recent years? That's not an exclusive list of course. It goes back several years. Michael Coles, Lawrence Hare, Jamie and Jeremy Luckhurst, Justin Elkins, Justin Walker, John Wainwright. Much more recently, Ryan Fisher, Sam Masters, etc. Probably loads more. If Glasgow are paying extras (according to Mr Blobby), surely that's classed as competitive advantage. The promotions have a choice. Pay it or don't pay it. Simples. All's fair in sport and all that.1 point

Don’t know why the subject is brought up so much with other fans, especially as they don’t really know the the situation regarding what riders get paid( even at their own Clubs)1 point

Racers don’t think about another accident though, the mentality you have is it will never happen to me and if it does you deal with it and think it will never happen to me again, when I finished it wasn’t through injury although I did finish with a back injury in my last meeting but I knew I couldn’t finish until I knew I’d had enough, I’d sratched that itch but even then a few years later I started riding in the veteran stuff1 point
