  1. Wonder if kelvin goes home tonight and opens the front door and is puzzled why the carpets in his house are dry when it’s been raining all day

  2. One thing you can credit Jack Holder on is his team riding. No messing about no wanting to be the main man just makes sure the job gets done.

  3. Funny how I supposedly hate Poole yet I spent the afternoon with Matt Ford and his wife here in France.

  5. Shouldn't really be making comments about the Lawson situation, it says he on compassionate leave not paternity leave

  6. Looking forward to this and hoping the tie will still be alive after the first leg. As a Lions fan I have a feeling that Dan T could haunt us now that he is back in a reserve berth. With no TS options available, he could still have seven rides if he’s on form. Couple this with the fact that his brother Joe, based on current form, may not beat an opponent home or away, which may give the Witches the edge. Hope I’m wrong but it looks like we will be carrying Joe again which makes Ipswich slight favourites in my opinion.

  7. Recorded meeting on TNT and had caught up to the last race and the recording cut off just as the riders left the pits🤬

  15. Despite having team Kevlars I thought it was good to see race jackets with the flag of the country on, thought it looked very traditional and I am a fan of team Kevlars

  16. They are not bad riders, they were just outclassed.Speedway in Europe is a different ballgame to GB at that level.

  17. Deserved to be world champion, no doubt in my mind

  18. 100% agree, they had a game plan about team riding and it worked, didn’t break each others line or ride like individuals which was the downfall of other teams! Deserved it totally!

  20. The front angle was didnt show that, it shows madsen hitting dudek, I agree dudek does lean on him but madsen does hit him, it was correct decision

  21. Madsen didn’t move out off the inside line did he? What else was he supposed to do there? Harsh

  24. I think Dan always felt he could get round by using the dirt so didn't lock up and try and undercut.... A proper racer.... A shame as GB finally looked capable of a podium... BZ on his 650 wins the re run...

  25. That's unlucky. Correct decision but unlucky the bike caught the dirt like that.

  30. True but it is a valid reason in my opinion, cant see us getting through with Ellis especially as his father hates Poole almost as much as you do!!

  31. Did I dream it or did Sheffield get a facility for Jack Holder for family reasons earlier in the season?

  32. Lambert to fluff it tonight with no back up for Bewley. Won’t even get bronze medal.

  33. For me the concern is not what it says on the hat (before I put my specs on I read it as 'f***ing pervert') - but the fact that it suggests the broadcaster care so little about the product that they are leaving the production to the youth experience kid.

  34. Riders just want/need bike time. The Ippo preview says they are aware a few of their riders have other matches elsewhere. Seem OK with that.

  35. Indeed he did. He also said "nothing teaches you like riding abroad & getting a hiding", GB guys rode as well as they could, got a good heat win in their last ride, will defo learn from the experience & so do better next time. Regarding Lambert apparently not recognising PC, Ivan once made an unannounced & unintroduced visit to the Hull pits, Craven Park era 2000 or so, after talking to all the riders one was heard to remark "who was that bloke & what does he know about speedway ?!". As it happens, Ivan knew quite a bit about speedway😉....

  36. No it's not. The rider himself confirmed on BSN it's pronouced how it's spelt. I think he might know better than you do!

  42. Normally I'd agree with you, but don't think it will matter in this case. Buxton didn't get great crowds & they've not ridden league Speedway since before COVID, so it's different to the Reading situation. That being said I think Buxton Hitmen rolls off the tongue, so I wouldn't have changed it, but don't see it affecting crowds.

  43. Think your missing the point about Ziske bike being damaged and not given time to fix,it was clear on TV there was a dispute about it,although Kelvin never mentioned anything.Perhaps that’s why the Ref was lenient. It pretty obvious that NONE of the riders thought the time clock was on.

  45. One of the few things that this competition does have going for it is riders/teams are actually placed based on the race points they're scoring and the team with the most points will win... how novel

  46. The whole sport is based on what individual promoters want to do... They even pick their divisions to race in, even if clearly too strong, or nowhere near strong enough, for that particular league.. For a pro sport, there are simply too many people who see it as an expensive hobby, rather than a business, so therefore, because they spend so much for hardly any material financial reward, or even local public awareness of any "success" they may get, they make up rules to circumnavigate what a "normal proper pro sport" would allow, thus driving a coach and horses through the sports credibility... It is quite a ludicrous situation that people willing to spend hundreds of thousands of pounds then devalue the very competitions they want to win, however, you, can see why they want to win them, regardless of their stature, when they spend hundreds of thousands of pounds!! I cannot think of another pro team sport in the UK with such a small following, small financial reward, a lack of sponsors from "outside" the sport, and such a small amount of public recognition, both locally and nationally.. (And definitely no other team sport has such an incredible operating model)... It is truly ironic that the very people who "save the sport" by spending so much, (who all love speedway and are well meaning), are the very people that prevent growth, and higher finanical rewards for success, due to the way they run things... When all are focused in what is good for UK Speedway, and not necessarily what is ideal for themselves, the sport may have a chance of moving forwards... Seven figure costs are met by the promoters each season as a collective, on riders alone, so surely now is the time to get that huge, (and for such a small sport a truly incredible outlay), to work for the sports' growth?
