  1. Unfortunately that is it until 2026. Thanks to all the riders, clubs, officials, broadcasters, forum members, particularly Racers & Royals and Stewmac and all in involved in the Polish league racing, it has been great watching all the meetings here in the UK and hopefully many will get the opportunity to turn up at tracks in Poland next year to experience all that is great about the sport of Speedway.

  2. I have been critical of Kerr for most of this season. Very poor the first half of the season, slowly improving but then EF’s. Tonight he showed why he was signed. Top performance. 13 points. Well done to him.

  4. Possible difference is Championship might be classed as a pro league and NL as amateur. Either way the facility was granted and rightly so. If Wright was replaced tonight on compassionate grounds, there wouldn’t be a single Poole fan questioning it.

  5. And PGE Ekstraliga attendances plummeted from 9625 last year down to a pathetic 10325 this year.

  6. I’ve noticed There’s two different Paluch one that rides Gorzów and the one that rides all the other tracks.

  7. Gorzows best 3 riders being in 20/30 heats over the 2 legs just does not seem right at all.

  8. I don't know why they keep blaming the weather, the track is completely of their own making

  9. To that end I'd recommend that you contact Jason Pipe and he'll tell you how many riders agreed to ride and then withdrew or were asked but declined the invitation. The 'Young Stars' part of the meeting name was to differentiate between the level that the senior side ride at and the National Development League which pretty much every rider in the meeting rides in. As an event I think it was a big success and will have done many of the riders present the world of good.

  12. As per tbe Regulations 010.5 FACILITIES A Reduced facility (No Facility in British Development) only, is permitted to replace a rider, who although included in a re-declaration has not made an appearance for that team since being re-declared. However, the team has the option to revert to the previous declaration. A team may utilise a facility to cover the absence of a rider(s) who is: - a) FIM World Speedway Championship and FIM World Long Track duty b) FIM Speedway of Nations / FIM Speedway World Cup duty c) FIME Speedway Championship duty d) the riders own FMN National Championship e) engaged elsewhere at a BSP LTD shared or purchased meeting f) recalled in accordance with the FIM SLB regulations g) injured whilst speedway racing This must be recorded on the Meeting Report by the Referee. This facility will apply automatically for a period up to a maximum of 28 days. The Promotion may apply to the SCB Co-Ordinator for an extension. If a rider has not declared illness or injury to the Referee before the closure of the meeting, as per the Meeting Report, subsequently provides a medical certificate, they will receive a mandatory 7 day suspension of their SCB Registration h) sick or carrying a non-speedway injury. The rider must immediately inform the SCB and their club. A Medical Certificate must be supplied to the SCB within 48 hours of the sickness/injury occurring in which case the rider will receive a mandatory 7 day suspension of his SCB Registration from the day of the first meeting missed. This facility will apply automatically for a period up to a maximum of 28 days. The Promotion may apply to the SCB Co-Ordinator for an extension i) suspended by the FIM, ACU, SCB or riders FMN j) in dispute with his club, provided that the circumstances have been accepted by the SCB Co-Ordinator who will determine the facility and period of the riders inactivity k) retiring during the current season a facility will be granted for a period of 28 days. After which the team must re-apply for a further facility to the SCB Co-Ordinator outlining the steps they have taken to find a replacement. An extension may be granted. In these circumstances a rider cannot return to ride for any club within 28 days, effective from the date of notification to the SCB l) a Championship rider who’s own FMN does not have a current agreement with the BSP LTD and is competing in another FMN’s National, League or Open Meeting. This will result in the riders SCB Registration being suspended for one (1) season and the riders team will be automatically granted a facility for a maximum period of 28 days, after which that team must re-declare m) awaiting medical clearance from the riders FMN n) NDL and NDT only: absent for any other reason - applicable to riders 18 years old and under, providing 3 days’ notice is given o) a rider with an assessed MA p) has been approved in a teams declared 1-7 at the start of the season but due to extenuating circumstances is not available, a facility may be granted, up to a maximum of 28 days, at the SCB Co-Ordinators discretion. In the NDL and NDT this only applies if the rider was in that teams 1-7 at the close of the previous season Therefore, I would imagine that Poole were granted a facility under subsection p) There is a distinction between PL / Championship , and NDL/NDT,

  13. Redcar was a bit boring tonight wasn't it? Glasgow should win the final overall, they have 5 heat leaders!!

  14. Doesn't really matter which teams are or aren't involved, its the inconsistency that gets to people. I was under the impression you could have guests for pretty much anything in the NL & NDT anyway, obviously not!

  22. 'Totally false advertising' feels like something of an exaggeration. Do you know they 'could of' (I assume you mean 'could have') filled it with more 'age appropriate' riders? Which ones do you know were available and didn't get invited?

  23. Well done to Australia, fully deserved that as the best pair. Glad to be going back to the World Cup next year though, it's just a far superior event.

  25. Whilst I would much prefer that the highest scorer wins, there are plenty of sports where the top qualifier doesn't win the final. I don't think that's the reason why people don't take speedway seriously

  26. Surely it's gamble worth taking because the current rock bottom attendances need a major boost. I think those who watch speedway nowadays will stay loyal whatever. And the only way to attract the 50/50 followers back through the turnstiles is via a more varied fixture list. Meeting the same teams 4 or more times each season just breeds complacency. Not that the riders care, of course, but Joe Public needs more variety.!!!!

  27. No passing tonight after second bend in 15 heats. As each lap went on riders got more spaced out. I didn’t find it dull due to what was at stake, but for a neutral it must have been a very poor watch. But Redcar only have themselves to blame. The overwatering took away any home advantage, rendering Wright and Kings passing ability obsolete. What were they seriously thinking? They went into tonight’s meeting as clear favourites. I was thinking the worst at heat one but when Thomsen gated and held off Wright, I thought, hmmm, perhaps we might be in with a sniff. Wright and King had a terrible meeting. There was no consistency with any Redcar rider. I bet next week the track is completely different and will suit the Redcar team much better. Pirates will need a bigger lead to take back up there.

  37. It's the same in the GPs, you eventually lose track/forget who's doing what. I'd also like to see the race positions done similarly to the Ekstraliga, not in size 4 font in the corner.

Jet propelled Working overtime Repays the compliment No doubt about that Umm Ehhhh No question about that Starting is at a premium Each phrase is worth 5 points and each mistake Kelvin makes is worth 10 points. If Louis corrects his mistake you get a bonus 25 points added on to your original 10. Best of luck.

  44. The whole sport is based on what individual promoters want to do... They even pick their divisions to race in, even if clearly too strong, or nowhere near strong enough, for that particular league.. For a pro sport, there are simply too many people who see it as an expensive hobby, rather than a business, so therefore, because they spend so much for hardly any material financial reward, or even local public awareness of any "success" they may get, they make up rules to circumnavigate what a "normal proper pro sport" would allow, thus driving a coach and horses through the sports credibility... It is quite a ludicrous situation that people willing to spend hundreds of thousands of pounds then devalue the very competitions they want to win, however, you, can see why they want to win them, regardless of their stature, when they spend hundreds of thousands of pounds!! I cannot think of another pro team sport in the UK with such a small following, small financial reward, a lack of sponsors from "outside" the sport, and such a small amount of public recognition, both locally and nationally.. (And definitely no other team sport has such an incredible operating model)... It is truly ironic that the very people who "save the sport" by spending so much, (who all love speedway and are well meaning), are the very people that prevent growth, and higher finanical rewards for success, due to the way they run things... When all are focused in what is good for UK Speedway, and not necessarily what is ideal for themselves, the sport may have a chance of moving forwards... Seven figure costs are met by the promoters each season as a collective, on riders alone, so surely now is the time to get that huge, (and for such a small sport a truly incredible outlay), to work for the sports' growth?
