I don't care. I want to read about and comment on Speedway, that is the raison d'etre of this Forum. What I don't want to read is the pathetic ramblings of our scammer and all his other aliases on here. Sorry, that is just how I feel. I'm sure I'm not alone. If I want such childish remarks, I will watch children's TV.11 points

I'm partial to a jokey post myself now and again and I could quite happily scroll on by and not interact with any posts from any individual user I didn't want to interact with... but, when you have a single user quite clearly using different accounts @Whitelinehugger @rearingtogo @TapesRup @Youhave2minutes and they're replying to their own posts and literally flooding every damn topic on the forum! That is something quite different. There are clear forum guidelines and this fellow is in breach of them: "Trolls A troll is a contributor whose sole intent in posting is to be a disturbance to the community. Trolls may post excessively inflammatory or offensive messages with the intention of upsetting people, "flame" or insult, crash an appreciation thread to attack the subject being appreciated, or post the same message repeatedly on multiple boards to take up space and disrupt the forums. Posters engaging in this type of behaviour lose their rights of membership and will be removed." Sadly there is no moderator to enforce these forum rules. I've "ignored" all of those accounts now, which is a shame as occasionally they did post something worthy of discussion.7 points

Cooper has posted on his facebook he wasn’t available on Monday as he didn’t get signed off medically from his Oxford crash. 7 day automatic suspension. but obviously nothing at all to do with the needless and early rain off whatsoever4 points

Couldn't have that at Kings Lynn If its Sonny its a compulsory 20 minute break and Buster does 30 laps on his tractor4 points

Not many meetings to fit in, and no TV schedule to work to... We go into October? No problem... 1300 - 1500 or so will still turn up.. They could even complete their season AFTER the PO Finals have been completed... Another season of the same old, same old, ticked off.... Job done... Roll on 2027, for more of the same...4 points

Should be awarding points for rain -off. Riders will tow the line if the meeting is not re-run and they are losing income.3 points

Given its a bulky foam fence, it must be quite a task to move it from Lynn to Northampton. Does the fence get a 7 day ban if it doesn't make it back to Lynn for the next home fixture.3 points

Sad news for Dan, gutted for him. Bad news for speedway fans everywhere who love seeing him race as much as I do.2 points

Clearly they didn't want to get bashed and smashed by us! On a serious note the sport has feck all credibility left. Surely and yes I know it's not always accurate but presumably the Met Office will provide a much more accurate forecast for certain organisations. I'll wager a penny that fixtures will still be going on after the play off dates!2 points

I am old enough to remember a promoter in the late 80s or maybe very eary 90s who threatened to pull the plug cos his proopsed team was 'just' over the points limit!2 points

He got paid 10 at Scunthorpe last week with Berwick and would likely score more than Mario even if he scores less2 points

The Bomber Harris air fence. Available for all occasions. Age not an issue2 points

I understand that, for a one-off, you could argue that makes sense. But what if the forecast is poor for half a dozen (or more) meetings, will they keep calling them off? Eventually they'd have to race them, could end up racing in poorer conditions / on a off race night / twice in a week / running double headers because there's a rush for the cut off date for the play-offs. Sounds like they are trying to avoid costs now, while hoping they'll be no more issues later on, but can't guarantee the weather will indeed be better on the re-staging date.2 points

Very sadly you'll be back. Unfortunately this Forum will have to put up with you in some shape or form. you are just making a nuisance of yourself. Trouble is, you can't see it.2 points

I know he's no saint. But putting back a Lynn NDL match, or the new Prem team can't ride. He did it to help Northampton, or in the interest of the sport, take ya pick. He will never please some.2 points

The fence is guesting for Northampton and needs to rest up in a hotel (car park) the night before... it's all quite normal, just ask the Northamptoningham skipper 👍2 points

Got to feel for Bowes, a good win in his first heat, going up the inside of Masters down the back straight, a little untidy but a good win. Before making a good gate and leading for 3 laps before what seemed to be a nasty off. Could’ve been 6/6 but instead on way to hospital.1 point

If you believe that you'd be way off. That mentality would see the end of British Speedway. We've to many rider's earning abroad & using British Speedway as top-up.1 point

The signing of Jeppesen is enough to get me through the gates - hopefully this is last chance saloon territory for Klindt and Batchelor.1 point

And Klindt still at Number 5... You have to wonder about Chris Adams, the apple seems to have fallen from the tree and rolled off down the road and into a different county 🤔1 point

Some comments are suggesting that you should use current form for selecting the riders to take part in this year's GP qualifiers rather than from a meeting from last year. Yet the qualifiers from this year's GP qualifying meetings qualify for next year's GP Series. By their logic next year's qualifiers should be picked based on their form next year and not on qualifiers this year.1 point

Cairns now gloating he could have got more points than he did. Show off Rushen would have never done that, as he’s modest.1 point

I doubt that, they are already running rims really close to the chain guides and the chains, to run any wider like for a motox tyre you would need wider hubs mean wider frames and then the countershaft sprocket wouldn’t be in line and you cant move that because the primary chain wouldn’t be in line for the engine1 point

I understand the logic of wanting the best riders picked, but "modern" speedway isn't about being the best over a season (play-offs) or the best over a meeting (LCQs / semi finals & finals) so picking riders based on one meeting falls in line with being able to be your best on a particular day / or particular race. I wouldn't say he wasn't good enough to get an attempt at qualifying for the GPs, he had that chance at the British final, just wasn't good enough on the day. Actually he had a second chance of qualifying for the GPs by winning the SEC, a competition he didn't qualify for either. I'd agree it would be odd Brennan not getting picked if they just chose 4 wild cards, but nothing odd when you know how the riders were selected. You can probably guess, I dislike all wild cards / seeded riders, would rather everything was decided on track.1 point
-
I'll respectfully disagree, if they're good enough, should've finished ahead of Harris in the British final. Glasgow promotion will likely be pleased. You could argue Robert Lambert is the one "taking opportunities away" as he's almost guaranteed a wildcard if he doesn't finish in the GPs top 6! But he earned the right to choose.1 point

As I’ve pointed out on numerous occasions for god knows how many years with evidence of it, bikes today are in relative speed no faster than they were 40 years ago, what is considerably faster is the speed of the back wheel to the speed of the bike, when the bike is doing 50-60mph the back wheel is doing 80-100mph, hence the back tyres wear out in 5mins and the front tyre will last a season, it has been a problem for years but nobody especially riders and tuners want it addressed1 point

I’ve watched all of these and his is one of the only speedway ones I can watch, it was interesting to watch the latest one to compare how bike things/prices have changed since I retired which was 15 years ago, somethings never change and some of the BS that went on back then still goes on today 😂 but in the grand scheme of things apart from clutches and their maintenance nothing has really changed since the 80s but it does cost a hell of a lot more today1 point

Very sad news. I met him out in New Zealand over 20 years ago. He spent a day with me showing me the sights of Auckland, including Western Springs Raceway. His views on Ivan Mauger and Barry Briggs were particularly entertaining! I think you could say he was not exactly star-struck! In the evening he and his wife, Lynda, took my wife and me out to dinner, where we met up with Tommy Sweetman. It was a great day. He was so friendly and informative. Oh yes, and he was a pretty good rider in his day too! R.I.P., Bob.1 point
