I think its great someone is putting in so much effort to find out if/where it will be shown. Hopefully those efforts are rewarded with a channel and time, but if not the efforts are still applauded and appreciated by most others on here.7 points

Something needs to change in the team GB management setup. You can’t allow our hottest prospect to stay in the pits until heat 27. You’ve asked him to miss his GCSE exams today to be a team member and haven’t utilised him to his full potential. The same can be said for Cairns when he should have been given a ride in GB last heat when we were already qualified in Landshut.6 points

Not as much of a joke as Dan Bewley going unbeaten with 18pts at the German GP. A guy scoring 8 scraps into the silly last chance saloon and ends up with 20 points, 2 more than Dan. Now that is a joke of a system.5 points

But.... It is an amateur sport, at least off track... The promoters are not in the entertainment business, they are not marketeers, and definitely not in it "for the money".... They do their best given their limited capabilities to just "provide some Speedway".... Getting "professionals" in costs money, which means it won't happen.. People have too high an expectation of what the majority of promoters can deliver... You only have to see how they run the sport to know they don't have the required skill set to deliver what some fans see as "basic".... They do their best, and put their money in, and without them there wouldn't be any start time to moan about....5 points

That is of course a very valid point, however i think the first question should be addressed to Richard Coleman Mayfield Sports.5 points

As for what planet I’m from? Planet Earth. It’s a nice place where people don’t lose their minds over a U21 TV schedule. Judging from your posts today you lost your mind years ago.5 points

You are so hilarious- not !! Whilst HBO Max in Poland and Eurosport player in Poland were showing the meeting on their schedule- HBO UK were not. Therefore it was important to me to determine from a streaming point of view if this was the case. Their listings disappeared yesterday. You might not think it’s a big deal that thousands will not be able to watch a World Championship U 21 meeting but i do, especially that i have seen in writing a response from HBO to someone on Monday- and i quote. ” you can rest assured that your subscription covers all promised events for the season, including SGP 1, SGP 2 , SGP 3 , SWC and the U 21 SON. “5 points

Really? They stopped giving wildcards to riders because of their nationality ahead of their ability, looks the strongest field since the Russians were banned to me. Not sure why people are saying it's virtually over after one round, Zmarzlik will always be favourite, but it's not like he's miles in front, he's not even leading the series yet.5 points

Probably, ive gone off the GP tbh too predictable and when a rider can score 8/9 points win the lcq and end up with 20 points 4 more than the actual top scorer of the meeting its a joke. Also half the field automatically qualify, i understand the arguments about GP v the one offs but the route to qualify for the one off was open to every rider, some great meetings along the way too, British final, European, Nordic, Commonwealth, the jeopardy of the one off made the night special. Only my view and i understand im probably in the minority. I dont think BZ needs to get any extra laps around the NSS its the type of track he rides every week in Poland, replacing Dan is nigh on impossible.4 points

The rules state In the event of 3 teams or more on equal points the teams will have considered to have a bonus point if finishing in 1st and 2nd or 2nd and 3rd. The teams scoring the most bonus points will finish higher. If that is a tie 1st, 2nd 3rds will determine. Germany had 5 GB had 3 Australia 23 points

You would perhaps be surprised at what they are capable of now. I think it's probably Elon Musk doing this, who is no longer human3 points

That may very well be the case, even if it is it shouldn't be, as in most professional sports the meeting "Start Time" should be the advertised start time. The "start time" is mentioned a few times in the rules in reference to procedure, reporting and appeals etc. yet it doesn't state what the start time is, parade or tapes up and it doesn't say who is responsible. It's so simple it shouldn't be an issue, clubs should start, i.e tapes up, at their advertised time, if they want to hold a parade lasting 5, 10 or 15 minutes prior to that, it's entirely up to them and they should adjust their advertised start time accordingly... oh and have enough turnstiles open to allow easy entry.3 points

What gjcone said! Bewley was in the form of his life and BK seems to have started slower than usual - history wont repeat itself and he won't run him that close again. I do hope that comes back to bite me though!3 points

I don't care. I want to read about and comment on Speedway, that is the raison d'etre of this Forum. What I don't want to read is the pathetic ramblings of our scammer and all his other aliases on here. Sorry, that is just how I feel. I'm sure I'm not alone. If I want such childish remarks, I will watch children's TV.3 points

There are always people late at football matches, because you see the empty seats gradually filling (and at the start of the second half too). Although, to be fair, a couple of Prem matches were delayed this season because of problems on the roads, which prevented access to the stadium. Plus, speedway is nothing to do with football - or any other sport. It's British speedway tradition for the parade to be part of the meeting, i.e. Ipswich speedway has always advertised the start time as the time of the parade, i.e. 7:30pm and first race at 7:45pm. I really don't see what the problem is - in the list of British speedway's problems, this must be rate in the bottom half a percent.2 points

The contempt shown towards every speedway follower sums up why the sport is in decline. It does not deserve to be taken seriously and the pig headed ignorance of those who happily take your entrance fee but give little or no guarantee that you will get what you pay for is contemptible and those who are in charge work on the basis of caveat imptor which sums up everything that is wrong with what at best is a form of entertainment but actually falls short of being entertaining. Many people who use to be avid supporters/followers were major contributors to this forum but just look at the limited number of responses to any given match on each meeting compared to a few years back and that in itself is a measure of how far it has become a joke. Anyone with money invested in UK speedway needs to get out asap. It is not an investable proposition and in its current state has no chance of attracting the exposure it needs to grow. Is Rachel Reeves in charge.?2 points

What is also unforgivable was the total wall of silence regarding any TV coverage despite their socials being flooded by fans asking where it could be watched. Complete failure by the hallowed Mayfield Sports Events!2 points

You do wonder what planet those who oversee these fixtures are on. The genuine speedway follower can only look on in dismay as those in charge seem to have no idea and how to maintain support let alone attract new punters. People decry WWE and the fixed results but those in charge of speedway are not far short of making a mockery of a sport that does not need these jerks running it. WWE almost looks legitimate by comparison.2 points

What a joke of a system. WE beat the Germans 7-2 in the heats yet finish behind them. FIM have cocked up the sgp scoring system now this joke of a system. No wonder no one wants to televise the event.2 points

Have to agree on current form Luke Harrison should have been the number 3 allowing BOTH inform riders to at least strut their stuff for the first couple of heats and see how they do.2 points

Don’t know about other tracks but there was a collection for him at Berwick during the last home meeting2 points

If your old mate Armando is still top dog in the FIM track racing committee, send him a strongly worded email and ask what's going on. The sport won't gain anymore fans around the World if nobody can watch it.2 points

I think that’s unfair. His ambition is to make money running a speedway team and when you look at income vs expenditure, I’m sure he does that. It’s the other teams in the league that are crazy, spending money in order to put out decent teams and good entertainment for their fans, the fools2 points

May get a heat leader average but will be in No 2 position for the rest of the season if the team manager does his job properly2 points

Remember when league clubs held their world championship qualifier, then the British Final that was a world class line up to what we have today and a lot resting on it. I remember a few great qualifying rounds European final at Wembley, Overseas at White City, some great Nordic finals. Its a shame Dan and Freddie are injured can Brady keep that same level of consistency to make the GP interesting, can Lambert and Holder finally deliver?2 points

First of all well done to the Foxes. Now for the not so good bits. My Uber from the station was not allowed to drop me off by the turnstiles & basically told I had to be dropped off once he was parked in the car park causing me to have a painful walk to get entry on an uneven surface. Yet again a club that advertises a 7:30 start time yet the first race was 7:44 because the crowd was outside. I have never been to another sporting event besides speedway that does not start on time. If meetings started on time the crowd would soon understand that they have to arrive earlier. The late start meant that my prebooked return Uber to the station would not wait so I wasted £22 as had to book a second ride. I know their were some on track events that caused a slow meeting but for the love of god please start on time. You charge the best part of £30 to sit in the grandstand. I consider this to be the fee of a professional sport. Please behave like one. 1. Have a drop off point for people getting lifts to the stadium. 2. Start on time so you do not appear like an amateur sport.2 points

Well I'm thinking that was a bit of a result especially considering their lack of experience, pity Cooper only got the one ride. Back to Pirate matters, it'll be great having Rushen back on Wednesday as I'm guessing it will be r/r for Bowes.1 point

Look at football kicks off at the advertised time and the introduction of players happens prior to this. Speedway just appears an amateur sport in comparison to others1 point

Thoroughly enjoyable in the end, although it all seemed like business as usual early on. Lidsey came good and maxde some gates, Iversen gave us a bit of the old leg trailing in his first 3 wins, and Thompson was great again. The less said about Batchelor and Klindt the better. Jeppesen was an odd one - he seemed terrified of mixing it in the first corner in his first couple of rides but settled down okay. The track is riding much better than week one, and the crowds have held up surprisingly well, although it was a warm evening against local opposition. Still, I'd hope that it'll settle around 1,500. Can't make the next couple now but will be back again soon and, who knows, we might have 7 men firing at once by then!1 point

Maybe the two clubs could combine their riders into a single squad and make team selections on a match by match basis? "Best commercial interests" and all that.1 point
