Finally made it last night - very impressed with the set up there - the track was bladed etc after heat 2 and then after that produced some really good racing. Its a shame its a 2 hr drive for me as I would be tempted to go more regularly but its a great set up and sat in the grandstand on a warm sunny evening watching a 45-45 draw with quite a lot of overtaking I was very happy!8 points

First time for me, too. Very impressed with the set-up -- well-marshalled parking, friendly staff, good infrastructure with food/drink/merchandise etc all readily availableand an interesting programme. Problems with the new material on track led to a loooong delay, but communication with the crowd was good and the racing afterwards was excellent. Interesting to see a lot of fans, both adults and children, in Foxes shirts. Encouraging to see this response as the club tries to build its own fan base and not rely on Coventry and Peterborough supporters getting their fix, welcome as they no doubt are. The blue/orange/white colours are striking and the fox logo is a very clever design, immediately attractive to children but with plenty of character and detail to swing adults too. Full marks on that one. If I have a mild criticism it is that the stadium comes over as a tad functional at the moment. Even the odd tub of flowers would help there. But overall a really good and very welcome addition to the sport. Special kudos to the very young and very diligent litter pickers in action on bends one and two, they were great!5 points

Didn’t even know there was another forum, with this one being down for the last 3/4 days I wondered if like British Speedway its days were numbered. Despite a very small minority who try to spoil it for everyone else, this platform is very important and it would be a big loss if there wasn’t something like this for fans to have a debate of exchange views on.4 points

I agree about the new forum, looked horrible and didn't like the way the pages were presented so am glad this site is back up and running.3 points

Well have to say last night he rode more like the Batch I remember - quick away from the gate and mixing it very well - scored 11 too! Great meeting3 points

Batch gets a lot of hate on all public forums/social media platforms. As a comets fan, I dont have a bad word to say about him. Yes its frustrating when he pulls up at the back, but the guy has quite often saved us from being an embarrassment over the last couple of seasons. He hasnt missed a single meeting for us and often scores 8+ points a meeting. We would have had a lot of thrashings last season, more so than we got, if it weren't for batch.2 points

Needs to be moderated properly to stop the same few people having multi aliases and posting up garbage on nearly every thread, gets a bit boring after a while😬2 points

They will certainly have plenty of meetings left to do that... Good planning on their part... If you want a run of fixtures close together, it is best to do it as the season ends, as the fan attendance momentum you build then lasts into the play offs... Ending your racing around the end of July/early August, even if you qualify for the play offs, will lose momentum with the fans... "See you in a month for the play offs" isn't a marketing person's dream..2 points

Technical errors happen and people just need to have some patience while things are being fixed.2 points

When was the last downtime before this time and how many times the past year?2 points

Technical errors happens on most websites/forums like this. Doesn't mean it will be taken down.2 points

Hi Neil it was good to chat with you up at Worky last Saturday. You ran us close last season and took the bonus point. Tomorrow it's revenge.😛1 point

I'm down in Poole ready to cheer on the comets but can't see a victory coming our way 😲🔵⚪🏁 UTC1 point

What scared me was that, if this one is lost, we lose everything that's been posted! All that stuff you can only find on here, gone...1 point

A rider like Batch should be hitting double figures every week from reserve, deep down he is good enough to do it but as we all know its whether he can do it mentally.1 point

I was surprised Thomson didn't go out in heat 15. Maybe he didn't fancy it but a good team manager would ensure his riders always fancy it.1 point

Person ally, I hope this stay as is. With a few less intrusive adverts.1 point

Get on Rospiggarna to beat Piraterna by more than 2 tonight with Bet 365 at 11/10. It is the bet of the season !!1 point

3 times in three years (if that is correct) isn't very often IMO (rather quite rare) and as TTT points out technical problems will happen and does happen on most websites/forum/social media.1 point

I've added the new site as thought this one was dead as it hadn't worked for a few days, have got the best of both worlds now lol1 point

I found it outrageous that they played this during half-time of extra-time in the World Cup Final. Don't they know that British Speedway has exclusivity on it?1 point

I read recently there's been some pretty heavy track work happen at Riga recently. Apparently they've widened the turns and added more banking. A good move if you ask me - I've always rated Riga as one of the weaker tracks in the calender. Hopefully it makes the racing better.1 point

He does look up for a bit more doesn’t he. Seems a little more aggressive in tight situations than past seasons. If Dickson was to give him a slap every time he pulled up before the chequered flag he might do even better!1 point

Spot on the mentality is certainly in second division if i get out first I should be able to hold on if not settle for what you can get and don't take a risk, Sedgeman is another example and to be fair even if it drives us crackers you can't really blame them for trying to avoid a bad injury if they are at the tail end of their career.1 point

Never understood the grief Batch, and riders like him, get... They make up the majority of double uppers who run at HL and SS levels.. And all pretty much do the same thing, and are of not too different ages... If they gate first, they can win in the second tier, and maybe, now and again, hold on in the top tier.. If they gate last, in tier one they stay there, and in tier two they may get third... Many of them certainly won't be busting a gut to make any risky passes at this stage of their careers.. And, given so few riders of their level want to ride over here, they are all desperately needed to fill two team places.. a) to ensure full teams, and b) let both teams share costs..1 point
