Play offs for a league of just six is pathetic. At very worst it should have been first vs second over two legs or maybe even second vs third with the winner playing the team that came top. No team who finishes in the bottom half of a table whether that’s 4 in 6 or 11th in a league of 20 should have a crack at being league champions. Total mockery of the sport.4 points

Can't be too far off having a digital programme surely?….. Cheap to do, and could mean a decent price cut from current, and doesnt matter if not sold as nothing to throw away... Make it printable for those who like to keep a collection and even do some nice club official season binders to store the printed programmes in.. You won't even have to attend the meeting to print one, and you will never miss out by them selling out... Meaning your 50 years of programmes won't suddenly have one missing because you arrived too late one week!!! Nightmare!! It will also give the club direct digital access to their support base to target offers, keep regular communication etc... Some may need help from their sons or daughters with it, granted, (or even their grandkids if their own offspring are too old)...4 points

Its time the Promoters got their acts together, its been a fragmented season with teams going 3,4,5 weeks without a fixture. The hottest summer for ages and we cant fit in a few fixtures over this period. If this happens next year , only 1 Home,1 Away am done going to watch, its like a new season every time you go to a match with the fixtures spread out. If a Promoter cannot fit in 11 matches in 20 weeks of a season, there's a major problem with British Speedway.4 points

First meeting in about 2 years because wee man wanted to go. Brilliant advert for speedway I thought, can't remember heat without genuine passing after the 2nd bend. 11, 13 and 14 in particular I thought were superb. Pickering is a class act, Leon had to ride the wheels off it to beat him. Bug might be coming back!3 points

I’m exactly the same. It’s nice getting one in the build up to a new season and having your whole year paid up and done. I also like the fact the season ticket gate opens up earlier than the main gates and I just waltz through without queuing. Little things yes, but handy all the same. My nephew never gets one but still goes to 99% of the fixtures so whenever I either don’t feel like going one week, or can’t for whatever reason, I let him use my season ticket number so he gets free entry so in my mind I haven’t lost any value. Again like you, it doesn’t bother me one bit that the club has put on a fiver discount for Monday’s meeting and I don’t feel cheated in any way. We have two home meetings in four days and he’s thinking of the supporters pockets, good on him. Despite a small minority who strangely enjoy having a pop at him (probably because he has the gall to not be Ipswich legend Chris Louis), I think Coleman has been a breath of fresh air and made a good impression in his first year.3 points

I bought a “late season ticket” for £100 for 5 meetings. When they postponed the last match (weather was fine) and rearranged for this week I knew I couldn’t go as I travelled to Gorzow. I emailed them saying it was pointless me buying the season ticket, they responded with “you have still saved some money and we will give you a programme”. They were hinting that I’ve still saved £5. Then two days later they wrote they are giving a discount of £5 to that match, bearing in mind I actually never want a programme, so I basically am no better off, which isn’t the end of the world and I’m not that fussed. What it did show me is that season tickets are pointless in speedway because one or two rain offs and if you can’t make the re runs then you don’t save any more. I’ll never invest in another season ticket again in this sport.3 points

The failure to reach the top four wont be because of last night, its the three home defeats and the loss and Northampton. Fricke has regressed, Kvech & Cook havent kicked on and they made a dog's breakfast of the Castagna/Jenkins spot. All a bit of an underwhelming mess unfortunately. Cooper and Jody have been the bright spot.3 points

People need to drop the idea of hosting any important meeting at Belle Vue. I have seen people suggesting every important meeting in the British calendar should be held there. The crowds for second tier pairs, fours or riders championships there would be rubbish.3 points

Just look at the event from the 10th to the 13th September at the Northampton track and see how the whole period is organised with the punters in mind whereas speedway is organised around the participants and the punters are not even considered. Agree that the drivers pay to compete but you give a good few hours of entertainment that appeals to a whole range of ages and Spedeworth go out to treat the punter to an event. Speedway does not even come close in this country and until the views of the a few change and the promoters get an idea of what it takes to promote, it will continue to attract less and less punters. Speedway is not value for money from an entertainment perspective and is run by fickle promoters who have fickle riders who dictate what when and how things go on in terms of the track. I would rather pay £20 on a banger/stock car meeting knowing it will be on then rock up to a track for speedway only to find that a cat has pissed on bend four and it is not suitable for racing according to the riders. Chalk and cheese when it comes to entertainment and value for money, hence the only speedway worth watching at this time is the Polish scene who know how to put on a meet.3 points

Season tickets rarely offer much financial gain but I have one as it saves the faff of booking for each meeting and means Mum & I are in the same seats every meeting, have been for years. It’s also said it gives the club a financial boost pre season which helps at a time of no income. I’m never bothered if special deals crop up like Richard’s £5 discount and think clubs should do more of this to boost interest.2 points

The stars look very strong on paper, the likes of Ben Cook under perform in the UK, Fricke is nowhere near as dominant, especially at home as he was for Leicester. I guess you could say the same for the Czech kid, he could potentially do better, and of course Bomber is Bomber. Kings Lynn aren't the only team to suffer these under achieving teams though, its happened to Ipswich often. I don't really think speedway team managers have the ability to improve performances to the extent required though, yes they can motivate certain riders, but if they can't be arsed in the UK, why bother with them in the first place?...The likes of Zagar and co are proof of that....Easy money springs to mind.2 points

Here we are again year in, year out, and the fingers firmly pointing at the wrong people. Not a single rider can be or should be blamed. They do not pick themselves. This is all on the management 100%. They sign them, choose riding order, refuse to sack them when it's deserving. King's Lynn is a pocket money holiday club for rider's that can earn without consequences & become more attractive to better clubs in 2027. Any rider with any standards is only picking King's Lynn when nothing else is available.2 points

The stream was "entertaining" tonight. The two commentators were a little inaccurate (to say the least) and the graphics were electronic guesswork. For the purist it would have been frustrating to say the least. As a neutral my sides were hurting from laughing. The racing was pretty good. Just as well I had my own programme and with the help of live updates (on proboards) I managed to know who'd scored what and even the team scores. 🤣1 point

Well our top No.1 which couldn't of been cheap, has only averaged 7.64 at home this season. Thats only 0.13 more than Kvech at home, and 0.15 more than Harris . Nowhere near good enough, we must win all the home meetings at a minimum if we are to get in the play offs.1 point

You have reminded me of one of the funniest things I've seen and heard in Speedway, after Jackie Biggs kicked off at Eddie Lack over the amount of dog rubbish everywhere having walked across the centre green at Hackney following an EF. Hilarious....1 point

Interesting comments from Olly Allen in the Speedway Star... Recommending to the young British lads to ride in Poland as much as they can given the money involved will help future equipment budgets, and give them the required level of pressure to perform, given you don't get a job for a season like you do over here when of a certain level.. The more these lads compete in the International events the more they will get noticed, therefore more power to them... The very top of fhe tree can earn well over £3 million for five years of riding in Poland, (life changing money), whereas you could ride 25 years in the UK, (unless something dramatically changes money wise), and not earn the same... Best of luck to these lads in their journey, as it does look like maybe half a dozen of them have at least a chance of reaching international class... But time doesnt wait for any of them, and there will be plenty of riders of their age around the globe wanting the same, therefore every opportunity to get themselves noticed has to be taken...1 point

I think what last night demonstrated is that A} Leicester were correct in not resigning Fricke B} Despite what many Leicester fans thought in the closed season Douglas is a real number 1 and they were right to build a team around him.1 point

Four points needed. Any kind of victory home to Sheffield and Belle Vue next week will seal it regardless what Lynn do in their last two meetings.1 point

It’s always a balls up at the end of season with riders and fixtures. The whole sport is a joke.1 point

Nothing new regarding Fixtures it's shambles again and getting worse every season. Teams should be forced to run on their reserved night if these clashes arise.Honestly don’t think would effect crowd levels significantly.1 point

Events like these should be at Belle Vue imo. Not only is it just about the most central, it’s supposed to be the “National Speedway Stadium”1 point

Great effort from the boys last night just failing in the final, you wouldn't think PK was retiring at the end of the season his ride in the semi final to hold off Rocketman was awesome1 point

Having had 1h/1a for so long I think they've probably killed any likelihood of a successful return of 2h/2a should it ever happen. Many fans have been driven away through lack of fixtures and lost interest over time. They've moved on and spend their time and cash elsewhere. A new audience is required to replace them and unfortunately thats not going to happen. Not all are affected, Poole seem to maintain good crowds but others like Scunthorpe really seem to be suffering. Would love 2h/2a to return and for it to work again but have zero expectation it will be back.1 point

Tonight's news on Reid Battye, who has re-signed for Berwick in 2027 is really tremendous. Reid has had (generous) offers from other clubs to leave the Bandits, but will instead "dance with the one that brung him to the ball"1 point

This is going to be controversial I know. However, with the West Midlands now being overseen by a Mayor, albeit Street seemed to have far more reach than Parker, and with Birmingham, Cradley Heath and Wolverhampton being within that wider West Midlands and Birmingham Area poses the £64,000 question that will undoubtedly be unpalatable for many but pragmatically the future of West Midlands Speedway. Should the 3 very enthusiastic but separate Groups , all of whom deserve massive massive credit, not form togather to go to the Mayor with a far more compelling vision seeking a central location? While at it that bloke who has been Mayor Of Manchester for a while seems to have a fair bit of clout too?1 point
