Out of the country so watched the stream for the first time. Must admit it was pretty decent from start to finish and professional enough to keep you interested. The racing was really good too.

I’m almost certain Lawson will be back at Poole. His average is lower than it was last season, he’s capable of being near unbeatable at Poole. And let’s hope he shows that in the playoffs

It is really important for people to sign up, as long as they have a reasonable intention to go on a regular basis. No good fans from Manchester signing because they want another speedway club in UK…they are unlikely to go on a regular basis. This consortium needs to know the size of potential core support, which they can then build on.

Disagree entirely tbh, The way Gorzow's youngsters have stepped up this season when the Club has pretty much been missing one of Holder or Thomsen in almost every match is very impressive tbh. First time riding in the Ekstraliga for some of those youngsters and they consistently stepped up under big pressure and helped the Club put points/wins on the board.

Vaculik isn’t good friends with Zmarzlik, Zmarzlik asked him if he wanted to come but not due to being friends, due to other things going on at Stal and the reset that was coming and Holder leaving. Vaculik being poor would easily have been predicted due to him having two poor seasons at Stal before moving.

The issue with people like you on this forum is that you talk nonsense and when somebody talks facts you get all upset and have to throw in the “rose tinted glasses” purely because I’ve got ties via Polish family to Stal and the club. I’ve said on various occasions that stal have been poor and also said they are doing amazing other times, I’ve given updates on the clubs which turned out to be correct whilst others just speculated regarding the financial issues they incurred. So let’s talk facts again… in Poland whether you are number 1 or number 8 you are part of the team who the manager chooses to include to help win a match. Jack holder got injured in round 9 of the league which, at the time, Gorzow were sitting 6th and level points with up to 4th, thus, in the play off contention. Igor Kordun was drafted in for round 10 onwards and took 23 rides when he was asked for the remainder of the season, which isn’t bad going for a 16 yr old, when you compare than to William Cairns at Falubaz for example, Igor outperformed him in every sense. Nothing against Will but just to give some context to the facts. Let me know if you want to know anything else factual instead of opinionated arguments.

Was obvious who was going to make the Final tbh. Leszno only made the play-offs due to them facing the right teams at the right time so they were never going to be competitive in the play-offs, Gorzow would've taken their place if they were at full strength throughout the season. Lublin have struggled all season and the questionable moves they made last winter in the market have come back to bite them.

Taken from Jack Smith`s social media. thought it was about time I gave everyone a proper update on the injury I’ve been dealing with, as there is quite a lot more going on than people probably realise. For a long time now I’ve been struggling with my hip, and despite the pain and the problems it’s causing me, I’ve continued to get on the bike and race whenever I’ve been able to. Unfortunately, I’m nowhere near performing at the level I know I’m capable of at the moment, and there is a very good reason for that. After further investigations, including an MRI on my left hip, I’ve now been diagnosed with cam-type femoro-acetabular impingement (FAI), along with a tear to the superior and anterior parts of the hip labrum. In simple terms, I have an abnormal bony bump where the ball of my hip joins the femur. When I move my hip, particularly into certain positions, that bone catches against the socket. This has caused damage to the labrum inside the joint. I’ve also had an X-ray at Stafford Hospital, which has shown post-traumatic arthritic changes in my hip, adding another problem to an already damaged joint. For anyone who doesn’t ride Speedway, it can probably be difficult to understand just how much movement and control comes from your hips while you’re on the bike. Speedway puts an enormous amount of load and movement through the hips. You’re constantly moving your body, changing position, loading the bike and using your hips to control yourself through the corners. For me, one of the worst parts at the moment is turning into the corners. With the cam impingement, I can physically feel the bone catching inside the hip as I move into certain positions. When you’re trying to throw the bike into a corner and your hip catches, locks up or gives you a sharp pain, it’s incredibly difficult to ride naturally and confidently. I’ve also lost a huge amount of movement and mobility through my hips. Things that should be completely natural on a Speedway bike have become painful and restricted. I’ve continued to race because I love this sport and I don’t want an injury to keep me away from the track, but the reality is that I’m racing through a significant amount of pain, and it’s affecting how I ride, I had to withdraw from the Steve Casey memorial meeting and had to have morphine injected to deal with the amount of pain I was in. I know I’m not performing to the level I should be, and that’s incredibly frustrating because I know what I’m capable of when I’m fit and able to ride the way I want to, and I do take blame for my recent scores which have hampered my teams progress as I know when I’m 100% fit I can score big especially at Berwick. It’s not an excuse for results — it’s simply the reality of what I’ve been dealing with. So What’s next? The good news is that there is finally a plan. I am definitely having surgery to address the problems with my hip. I’m seeing the doctor who will be carrying out the operation on the 14th September, where we’ll discuss everything in detail and hopefully get an official date for the operation. The surgery will be keyhole hip surgery (hip arthroscopy). The aim will be to address the underlying impingement and deal with the damage inside the joint, including the torn labrum. The exact work required will be determined by the surgeon, but the aim is to correct the abnormal bone causing the impingement and repair/treat the damaged labrum. It’s going to be a long road back afterwards. I’ll have rehabilitation to complete and I’ll need to build the strength, mobility and confidence back up properly before I can think about getting back on the bike. But honestly, I’m looking forward to that challenge. I’ve spent a long time trying to ride through this and fighting my way through the pain. Now I just want to get the problem properly treated and give myself the opportunity to get back to being the rider I know I can be. I don’t know exactly how long the road back will be yet, but what I do know is that I’m going to give the recovery absolutely everything I’ve got. Speedway means far too much to me to let this be the end of the story. I’ll get the hip fixed. I’ll put the work in. I’ll get back on the bike. And I’ll come back fighting next season. A massive thank you to everyone who has supported me, checked in on me and continued to believe in me while I’ve been dealing with this. It might have looked like I became a bad rider over night after such a strong start/middle of the season but heavy crashes in the season after the crash that started it all off in April, it’s just slowly deteriorated until it’s become unbearable to deal with even in my day to day life, not being able to sleep at night and do the things I enjoy like go to the gym, walk my dogs, go for runs and hikes and my job. I have the KO Cup Final with Berwick remaining and I don’t want to miss out on being apart of such a huge meeting for a great club who have supported and backed me for the last 2 years. I’ll fight through it and give it everything I can with the position I’m in. When I’m at 100% I know I’m capable of so much more! Hopefully, this is just another chapter in the journey… Again Thank You to everyone who’s supported me through this difficult time I’ve dealt with broken bones and other injuries in my time but this isn’t anything like what I’ve ever been through, Broken bones are a lot more simple than what I’ve got going on. I will come back stronger!

No disrespect to the Meetings being discussed, but neither would get too many Aces fans to attend if they held either at the NSS.. Poole and Glasgow are the two tracks with the largest support in tier two so surdely it would make sense to use those tracks for any joint event.. Glasgow also having four other tier two tracks "not too far" away which could bring a few of their fans to the meeting... The bottom line is these meetings don't carry that much prestige or financial rewards anymore, which will always mean they won't engage too many to travel from a wider distance, especially given the cost of fuel these days, (and on a Wednesday when the kids had gone back to school!)...

2027 (Premiership continuing) will be an important season for the fans. Think there is an important list of rider's to avoid. Freshening up is of huge importance. Iversen, Klindt, Cook, Kvech, Lawson are the few that shouldn't be in contention. obviously it's a huge ask but I'd like to see all the stops pulled out for a return of Robert Lambert. If they can, Fricke remaining also and try and get Lidsey as 3rd heatleader.

Lawson might be available but I think bridges were probably burned there. Could see Klindt coming back but I think we probably need to move away from former riders and freshen up.

Got to try and keep Jody and Cooper, Fricke should be a steal on his average and would expect better home form in his 2nd year, the rest need a clear out. i'd go something like below. Doyle 8.90 Fricke 8.59 Brennan 6.76 Rushen 5.93 Bednar/Nagel 5.00 Battye ? Scott R/S

If he turns the volume up on his TV to halfway, it will be several decibels above the noise at the respective tracks...😁 And at least he won't have anyone saying "it's too noisy" or "sit down, I can't see"...😁

First meeting in about 2 years because wee man wanted to go. Brilliant advert for speedway I thought, can't remember heat without genuine passing after the 2nd bend. 11, 13 and 14 in particular I thought were superb. Pickering is a class act, Leon had to ride the wheels off it to beat him. Bug might be coming back!

Play offs for a league of just six is pathetic. At very worst it should have been first vs second over two legs or maybe even second vs third with the winner playing the team that came top. No team who finishes in the bottom half of a table whether that’s 4 in 6 or 11th in a league of 20 should have a crack at being league champions. Total mockery of the sport.

Can't be too far off having a digital programme surely?….. Cheap to do, and could mean a decent price cut from current, and doesnt matter if not sold as nothing to throw away... Make it printable for those who like to keep a collection and even do some nice club official season binders to store the printed programmes in.. You won't even have to attend the meeting to print one, and you will never miss out by them selling out... Meaning your 50 years of programmes won't suddenly have one missing because you arrived too late one week!!! Nightmare!! It will also give the club direct digital access to their support base to target offers, keep regular communication etc... Some may need help from their sons or daughters with it, granted, (or even their grandkids if their own offspring are too old)...

The Championship playoffs are included in the BSN season pass but it's going to be £59.99 for all 6 Premiership playoff meetings (£49.99 if you have a season pass) I have the pass. Although I personally don't think I'll bother with buying the top flight playoffs as I think it's pretty foregone conclusion that Belle Vue will win the Premiership playoffs (For what it's worth Poole winning the championship playoffs is also a foregone conclusion).

Season tickets rarely offer much financial gain but I have one as it saves the faff of booking for each meeting and means Mum & I are in the same seats every meeting, have been for years. It’s also said it gives the club a financial boost pre season which helps at a time of no income. I’m never bothered if special deals crop up like Richard’s £5 discount and think clubs should do more of this to boost interest.

I bought a “late season ticket” for £100 for 5 meetings. When they postponed the last match (weather was fine) and rearranged for this week I knew I couldn’t go as I travelled to Gorzow. I emailed them saying it was pointless me buying the season ticket, they responded with “you have still saved some money and we will give you a programme”. They were hinting that I’ve still saved £5. Then two days later they wrote they are giving a discount of £5 to that match, bearing in mind I actually never want a programme, so I basically am no better off, which isn’t the end of the world and I’m not that fussed. What it did show me is that season tickets are pointless in speedway because one or two rain offs and if you can’t make the re runs then you don’t save any more. I’ll never invest in another season ticket again in this sport.

Caveat Emptor...

The GP"s in Manchester showed Speedway, in the UK, can still attract plenty of people, at admission costs that are Premier League football level... As they bring relevance, credibility, close racing, and atmosphere.. Unfortunately, none of that is regularly replicated in domestic UK Speedway... There are a great many out there still following the sport, and closely, but don't see UK Speedway as something that warrants their attendance and monetary outlay... A huge opportunity for growth if those running UK Speedway ever listened and got things right...

Not a silly question the promotion has gone it's reset time there as I see it 125 riders coming on at some clubs 500 riders are short most of them riding for any of all teams so get on the phone to some ex riders and set up a league like the NDLjust a thought
