Funny how a rider who failed to get in the play off with his contracted team from the start of the season can now knock out another team in the semi-finals. It’s surprising really that anybody watches speedway anymore with genuine love for their team. Nowadays it’s just for everyone to watch the sport. Coleman is right, tribalism of cheering on your team is completely dead in this sport and exactly why speedway won’t get new supporters through the door. First time in 4 years I couldn’t be bothered to watch the play offs. Good meeting or not it’s just beyond a joke. Rules need to change next year with a lot of other bits too. I’m an Ipswich fan but to be honest even if we build an awesome team what’s the point when other teams can’t follow suit and have good and fair competition. Surely everybody wants to win a competitive league and not this current state of affairs. Saying that, good luck Sheffield and Belle Vue and I hope you make some brilliant racing in the final!4 points

Still nobody is trying to get wolves back, there are a few fans keeping the name alive with banners at different tracks but nobody is really doing anything, me and heathens next generation have had a conversation with the stadium manager at monmore a few months back who was very sympathetic to our plight saying it wasn’t the stadium that kicked wolves out it was entain itself and he forwarded an email to entain on our behalf, they did say no to a return but used the words not at this time ??? Does that mean maybe in the future ?? The point I’m making here is it needs someone who is a potential promotion to approach entain, it’s no good me doing it as I’m just fan, on another note, nobody has tried harder than heathens next generation to get cradley back, we have visited many locations with 2 being absolutely perfect locations had been identified, we have done everything including plans, deals and everything only to run into a brick wall that is the council, we will be trying another location next week but it not through lack of trying, I just wish the same could be said about wolves3 points

This is the trophy which Cami has targeted all season, he even went so far as to throw away the BSN series, the KO cup and the Championship just so he could focus on this fixture and claim the bragging rights in Scotland. I fully expect to see his tactical genius on display tomorrow night and i confidently predict a Tigers win (in a heat 16 run off).3 points

And why do you think most people wouldn't say it to face? Go on....have a guess...it might just make you realise why most people don't want him anywhere near the sport now.3 points

How utterly boring, last winter was far more interesting than the actual season which is about to conclude 🥹. Putting fans of clubs through torture should be an essential ingredient of the sport, after all what will there be to talk about for 4 months if everything's cut and dried by end of November?2 points

Its been well documented that in their final Premiership/Elite seasons - having won the titles several times - Poole took a big hit financially. Crowds dipped on Thursdays, sponsors changed. stadium rental/costs increased (and Matt was moving temporarily to France). Fans were asked what level of racing and what race night they preferred - the answer was Championship on Wednesdays. So be it! At the time MF stated it was 30% cheaper to run in the Championship than the Prem. A greater variety of fixtures/opponents also appealed to the fans who continued to attend in good numbers - especially as Poole continued to track successful, winning teams, all built within the same points limit as everyone else - no rules broken, no super wages paid!. In the background was - and still very much is - the long term future of Poole Stadium, Council owned and until recently leased to Clarke Osborne's Gaming International company. (CO passed away in August leaving his widow as the sole Director of Poole Stadium Ltd) Its understood they still have 14 years left on the lease. With all Councils under pressure to generate more house building, everyone is waiting for some clarification as to the stadium's future.... No club no matter how successful or otherwise, will take a major step into something that is going to cost significantly more when its traditional home maybe under threat - or at the very least requiring firm clarification.2 points

I think Richard has totally different priorities in his life now with a baby son and an unwell partner. That's aside from moving house again as well.2 points

I'm sure Paco will clamp it on the white line for 3 or 4 points.2 points

For me, Richard has always been a solid points scorer. Someone you can rely on to get reasonable or good scores, week in, week out. This year there seems to have been other things going on in his life and we know he's not one to shy away from an argument. All of which has lead to more inconsistent performances. But form is temporary & class is permanent. If he get's those other issues sorted and clear in his mind, he'd be on my team sheet, no question.2 points

No, I can’t see Poole ever signing Lambert. They would more likely go with the Holders / Kurtz / Cooks2 points

From Today’s Star Track: Ipswich chairman Richard Coleman has big plans for Foxhall’s first ever SGP event and he admits that it begins with delivering track improvements. ”In 2027 , to have the biggest Speedway event that has ever been held at Foxhall is going to be quite something. It’s really important for Ipswich, the club, the Town, and the wider Suffolk region. We are already getting a lot of engagement from local businesses and projects that want to be involved. Hopefully we can deliver a great event next year”. ”What this does, is it allows us to spend money on the track that would be hard to justify just for club events. We want to get the racing to a very high standard at Foxhall, so we’re going to be making a lot of changes to the track surface. ”We’re going to change the shape a little bit, change the camber and improve the whole racing element of it”. ”To those asking questions about the track, I say reserve your judgment. The Foxhall track that you see today, will not be the Foxhall that you’ll see at the GP next year”. Playoff defeat and 2027 plans: News that the Witches will host the 2027 Great Britain GP softens the blow of their play off exit, as club bosses Richard Coleman and Andrew Chisholm now turn their attention to winter track work at Foxhall, as well as building a strong Premiership side. Hurry awaits news on the duo’s plans for next years team. He said “ Now it’s time to regroup and it’s down to Richard and Andrew what they want to do for next year. Let’s see what 2027 brings”.2 points

Spot on, Berwick track could be similarly criticised in the Plymouth semi but the reality was that their riders were just better, riding the optimum lines, leading to limited overtaking etc, is the kinda criticism Wimborne Road gets after EVERY Pirates win ( have to point out these comments are from a very predictable dullard few).2 points

This made me think we’re coming up to a year since our happiest hour for many a year, quickly followed by our darkest when we headed in to the winter not knowing whether we even had our club to support anymore. This time around, we go in to the dark winter months knowing we’re in very safe hands, WILL be coming to tapes next March, having our track upgraded, a GP to look forward to, and the promise of a much more competitive team in 27. Been a whirlwind 12 months and a huge rollercoaster of emotions, but bring on 27.2 points

You really have a thing against Harris and Flint, they had 1 dreadful meeting at the same time, it happens and if you look at Ryan Ingrams home scores he is over 5 average, granted his away scores are not great but it is his first year in championship. Leon has made huge progress this season and would probably prefer not to be at no.1 but averages dictate who is at 1, 6 and 7.2 points

Crucial winter for Redcar following a very mediocre season , only one true heat leader in Klindt / Wright the former who did such a great job stepping in for the skipper and Charles himself when he coming back from such a nasty injury and his own personal issues, achieving such a magnificent return including being Britains best rider behind the World Champion in the GB team in the WTC. On to 2027 , I’d love a top two of Wright and Klindt but fear the stupid 8 point rule will scupper that , a return for Danny King would be very welcome , but we must keep Jody Scott who I think has been the 2026 rider of the year and next season will be massive for him, as for the rest , very inconsistent and for a few I think a change would be as good as a rest, but we know this sport is a numbers game and there ain’t no Man City in this league to bend the rules apart from Poole of course, an interesting winter coming up.1 point

Armadale, 7:30PM (UK time)6:30PM (Ghana time). 48-42 to the Monarchs from the first leg, so we’ll likely need the referee to “accidentally” stop the race every time a home rider is leading, similar to what happened to Kye Thomson in last season’s play-off final at Ashfield. My prediction? Flint and Harris to flatter to deceive, Hagon to fail to register a single point and KJP to score 2 from his first 3 riders, then do two laps of honour and a burnout when he wins a meaningless heat 14. Can’t wait. No Mario Rickardsson, sorry, I mean Hasul. Why? Nobody knows. Probably can’t be arsed.1 point

If Leicester had Kept Fricke, and was their choice not to, then make up of the main body of the team would not have been the same as what it is now. It would have had to be a lot weaker…..want to know how weak, look no further than Kings Lynn.1 point

Leicester are better without Fricke are they? 🤫 Guess what, he comes in as a guest and over both meetings, rips Leicester a new one 🤣 That should be leason learned from the Leicester promotion. When it comes to those crunch moments in big matches, a genuine No1 makes a huge huge difference.1 point

The weather for tomorrow is going to be dry. Any rain about is going to be to the west of the country so safe for Pirate fans to travel the 5 hours north. As it’s on a Friday we are aiming to leave Poole about 11am to have a stop on the way up and get there in plenty of time. Last time I went to Scunthorpe was a horrible wet night and we were well beaten. Hoping it will be a good meeting with plenty of great racing with both teams giving their all. Pirates to a rider will need to be right up for it and I am sure they will be. Really looking forward to it. Up the Pirates!1 point

Some comments on social media have suggested that members of RHAG cannot be trusted, that individuals are looking to make a profit, or that we are simply “getting the begging bowl out”. Nothing could be further from the truth. No one is profiting from this. The suggestion that anyone from the group is doing so is insulting to the number of people who have worked tirelessly, given their time and committed their own money to get us to this position over the last 7 years. Do you realise the time, effort and money that has already gone into reaching the point where the group is a Rule 6 party and hopes to instruct a leading KC to fight for the stadium and track at the Planning Inquiry? The stadium could have been long gone six years ago, with football pitches potentially in its place. Instead, a number of people have continued to fight to keep the stadium and its future as a sporting venue alive — particularly when dealing with individuals whose spiteful actions have shown little regard for planning laws or the importance of protecting a long-standing community asset. This is part of the wider problem with speedway in this country. Too often, people believe that signing a petition or submitting an objection on a council planning portal is enough. It isn’t. That is one reason why the sport has lost so many tracks over the past 40 years. The governing body and much of the fanbase have, too often, stood by and accepted the loss of tracks rather than fighting to protect them. To fight effectively in the planning system, you need professional expertise. Lawyers, planning specialists and other professionals need to be paid for their time and expertise. That is where donations are going. Positive thoughts aren't going to help. So rather than criticising those who have got off their backsides and put their own time, money and effort into trying to save Rye House, perhaps they should be supported. We don't require any thanks or a pat on the back. Just send a small donation. If you have ever followed Rye House, supported the Rockets, earned a few quid out of the club or have an emotional connection to the club and stadium, consider donating the equivalent of the price of an admission for one match, a round of drinks or a takeaway. If you choose not to donate, or simply aren’t bothered, that’s entirely your choice. But don’t criticise those who have put their own time, money and effort into fighting for Rye House, and then complain about speedway continually losing tracks or say how much of a shame it was to see what happened at Rye House. Forget the individuals. Put your donation into the fight for this 90-year-old club and stadium. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. https://gofund.me/89d0fc2dc1 point

For what it’s worth, my take is this. He did a “Morally” and an “Actual” bad crime. Went to Prison & served some time. Our stupid system lets people out early etc. Said person is now able to earn a living. Let him earn a living. If he’s coming to your track, don’t pay to go-simple. Tell your promotion why you haven’t attended. If there is a massive crowd drop off when said rider is in town, leave it to the promoters to sort out. If it’s bad for business it won’t last long.1 point

Forget rivalries aside, Kings Lynn are a fine Speedway Club. They’ve always been a big part of top flight speedway going back to the Terry Betts and Michael Lee days, had some of the best riders in world speedway. The fact they’ve never celebrated a top flight title isn’t right really. They’ve a loyal fan base and they deserve their spot in the sun. Until change happens, I doubt that will come unfortunately for them.1 point

That could actually help Leicester with Thompson's suprisingly high average, meaning all the Lions can take his rides. However Castagna in for Howarth is like waving the white flag i'm afraid. (just my opinion of course)1 point

Hmm, let me say it again. Some riders in the past have started their career in the top league (not in a lower league) and become very successful. Age is not proportional to success/ability and there is so much evidence of this I don't think you need me to give examples. Many of the riders who have started brightly but then stunted/faded is nothing new and to be expected as when the pressure/requirement increases, there will of course be those who don't make it. The point I am making and which several people, including promoters do not seem to get, is that restricting opportunity by age is totally flawed. Parnytski was under 21 world champion but pants in the grand prix the following year. Crump was also world u21 champ and then won a GP the following season. Age is irrelevant. What they should be looking at, if they want to develop, is perhaps (and I haven't done a lot of thinking on this) is count experience ( a bit like flying hours for a pilot) and compare that with success, perhaps using averages as a measure, as well as individual successes. Then, a rider could be 25 and just starting out but get a place at reserve because of their lack of experience. A rider who started in one of those reserve spots aged 16 and now 24, still averaging 2.5 points per meeting, should not be ahead of the 25 year old in the queue for a place.1 point

But he may just decide not to have a British licence, as a resident of Poland with a polish wife, he may get a licence to ride in Poland. And can't see the FIM wanting the world champion not to ride in the GP1 point

More Chances than a Monopoly set..... Sticking with the theme - after each chance he has gone straight to jail The rules also say do not pass go and do not collect £200 🤔1 point

Do you mean running the sport like other leagues do?.. The blueprint is there to be used, Poland, Denmark, and Sweden use it without issues.... Denmark and Sweden do focus massively on their top tier, and ensure that the top league is the league that sells their Speedway to sponsors and investors.. That is where UK Speedway needs to be... One "professional league" and one "semi pro league", with the top league being ran properly, and profitably, with credibility and also becoming an aspirational entity to join.. Interesting how Richard Coleman used the term "investors" in his interview, as "sponsors" are invariably fans from already inside the Speedway Bubble, who don't grow the sport organically, and are quite happy to use their support to offset other main businesses costs... Investors are what is desperately needed, and to get them, they will need to believe that the operating model and business plan going forward will deliver something for their investment...1 point

Not quite right. The Chairman for the majority of the National League's (extremely successful) independent run in the '80s was actually Danny Dunton. Mervyn Stewkesbury took over for the 1988 season -- elected after a contest with Martin Rogers -- but was promoter at Poole by then, having moved from Weymouth in 1985. Mervyn headed the NL for three seasons, before engineering the re-amalgamation of the two leagues for 1991. This moved Poole, Ipswich, Berwick and Wimbledon (who became Eastbourne mid-season), up, but left the NL in bad shape and led to the disastrous "one big league" of 1995/6. History thus warns us of what can happen when the top league pulls successful clubs out of a well-run second division. In conclusion, were the current Championship to go its own way, run its own affairs, this might not be a bad thing at all.1 point

I doubt any of you who are calling Garrity would have the b"llocks to say it to his face. You all hide behind your keyboards. He's been a very naughty boy more than once and has done his time. Yes he committed a heinous crime and has now finished his time, but what about the crimes committed by a couples of Aussies and a Brit that was swept under the carpet with money in front of it. Did they learn, have they ever been punished or continually berated.1 point

While I like the idea of clubs having to have an U21 Brit & an U24 Brit (don't think they should have to be at reserve) if a club was clever & signed the best 4 U21s (Rushen, Cairns, Harrison, Scott) then instead of another club having to use the 9th best U21, it'd be the 12th best.1 point

The same stupid sprint races that gave Bartosz the extra point he needed to win last season? The same authorities that have watched Bartosz finish in the top 2 every season since 2018? They're doing a pretty bad job of trying to finish his "supremacy" if so.1 point

If the cost was £1K per seat, then the 2000 seater temporary stand would have cost £2m! Actual cost is somewhere between £50 and £100 per seat1 point
