  1. Far more likely that it didn't fit correctly and has gone back
  2. I was a regular at Mildenhall in 2006 & 07 in the second tier and it's some of the best speedway I've ever seen.
  3. I think Sheffield's signings today show how difficult it is to get riders over here. Hopefully the fact that it would only be for a few weeks will help the cause.
  4. I thought it was a decent meeting because of the closeness of the scores, racing wise not so much really, just the occasional pass and even the best riders struggled from the back. Draw a fair result in the end.
  5. Yep he would, whether he'd be what the club are looking for I don't know but the options are likely to be limited. Someone mentioned Basso but unless they get him in quickly he will be too high.
  6. Phil Morris admitted on an early season edition of the No Brakes No Fear podcast that they got the 'commercial decision' badly wrong last year with the Play Offs, so hopefully that won't ever happen again.
  7. Lovely bloke away from speedway by all accounts but thoroughly unpleasant during a meeting whether on track or in the pits.
  8. And this is where Phil Morris needs to do his job and mediate if there is an issue. At the end of the day Ben Cook has been riding in Poland all of five minutes and reached the required standard by learning his trade in the UK over several seasons. So in the politest terms they can stick their millions and Foxtrot Oscar.
  9. Personally I'd have kept the 3-2-1-0-1-2-3-4 scoring system which awarded the away team two points for a draw anyway. One of the best ideas British Speedway has come up with in recent years and they scrapped it!
  10. If there was somebody out there on the right average who could step in for a month or so then I'd say yes but it would need to be an 'oven ready' signing rather than a newcomer or one for the future. It would definitely save the ball ache of guests if he drops to reserve for May.
  11. Yep I think the reason they are so strong both on paper and on track is that you could make a strong argument that they have the best rider in the league for most positions in the team and there not be much in it for the positions they aren't. As I've said before they are top heavy and solid all at the same time. Not particularly looking forward to May 5th in all honesty!
  12. The only issue is getting decent guests every time you need one. Might be better having Klindt down there which should be a guaranteed decent score from 6/7 rides every time and then mix and match R/R and guests for Cook as required.
  13. Lynn are never going to rip up the template after four league matches, nor are they going to dispense with Kvech in April. And personally I would only replace Cook if he was going to drop to reserve, and even then only temporarily. All very well saying '8 point and 5 point assessed' riders but who is realistically going to come over when they've got their season planned out and Poland had started.
  14. Nor me, it was all a bit odd really. Just glad we got over the line. Something to build on.
  15. We should have won that far more comfortably, Leicester are a pretty ordinary side and we threw so many points away yet again. Fingers crossed Ben Cook is ok, he looked a much better rider tonight after his first race EF. Track was a bit funky to begin with but once it settled down I thought there was some decent action.
  16. It is a very important meeting but we do have three more meetings against Leicester so all wouldn't be lost. However we've seen in recent seasons how difficult it is to play catch up if you make a really bad start.
  17. Certainly not based on one meeting and I could be completely wrong but we will see. As for who Cooper signs for in a year or so I expect every club will have a conversation with him and his family and he has plenty of time to decide his future.
  18. Im going to stick my neck out and say that he'll end up being better than Cairns all things being equal.
  19. As has been said this is a must win for Lynn, and there is a bit of pressure with three league defeats so far. However the home form has been pretty good and they really should be sitting on two wins from two on home shale so no reason to fear Leicester despite their strengths. 48-42
  20. That's an incredibly disappointing evening for the Stars. Presumably whatever went on Bomber's machine affected him for the rest of the night but as a team 33 just isn't good enough. Much, much better required on Thursday at Sheffield.
