  1. Boughen declared by Lynn: http://www.kingslynn-speedway.com/_mobile/news.php?extend.31652
  2. I reckon you could make it work by giving the two number eights some match races before/during/after the meeting and the experience of them being around some world class riders in the pits and on the track walk for the evening would be invaluable. It wouldn't even necessarily need to be the same number 8 every week, could just be two local nominated riders. It's got to be better than the alternatives.
  3. Amongst all the garbage on this thread a very good point was raised about a Rising Star withdrawing through injury. As has been said its ripe for manipulation, I'd have thought the best solution would be to have a number 8 on hand to take any remaining rides of the minimum three that the RS would have had to take including the obligatory heat 8. I don't think it's fair for the other reserve to take heat 8 really.
  4. In fairness Phil is a pretty balanced and fair poster and a decent chap when you meet him.
  5. Absolutely no need for it to be, Lynn would have won that at a canter without three enormous slices of bad fortune. Nothing to be concerned about as disappointing as the final score was. But that's speedway. Belle Vue did the necessary in heats 12 & 14 to set up the win when those heats really ought to have been Lynn heat advantages so credit to them, and it was a great race to finish which shows the value of transponders. Let's see what we can do up there on Monday and fingers crossed Ashton will be fit.

  7. This will be tough after BV's aggregate humping last week but I reckon we will prevail 46-44 👍
  8. Hi Paul hope you are well 😃 Bomber was absolutely sensational at Lynn on Monday and carried that on last night. So glad he is finally a Star. Ashton excellent too so far 👍
  9. I think the biggest compliment you can pay Ipswich is that they are top heavy AND rock solid all at the same time so far. They look scarily good.
  10. Early days and with respect not the strongest of opposition but that is a very pleasing start to the season indeed. Very much looking forward to BV at home on Monday evening which will be a much stiffer test despite their cup exit.
  11. We did wonder if Bomber might come into heat 13 in Ben's place but that would have been four rides on the trot for him after the interval which I don't think would have been realistic.
  12. Take a bow Bomber Harris, a debut the like of which I've never seen before. Incredible stuff. Thought at one stage we would be hitting sixty but Oxford got dialled in and improved, particularly Gusts who looks handy. Certainly more to come from Lynn when you look at the three heatleader scores which bodes well.
  13. Early days but that's a big old statement win for the Twitches.
  14. Forgive me for being a bit slow, are we still talking about MJJ? Was he there without his machinery or not there at all?
  15. I personally wouldn't read too much into a lot of the performances today, there looked to be a lot of rustiness on show which is to be expected. Doyle was excellent along with the other two GP boys and it'll be interesting to see how they all get on tomorrow evening.
  16. Great to see so many people turn out for Puk on a chilly afternoon. Plenty of rusty men and machines on display as is the norm for early season meetings but the three GP lads were head and shoulders above the rest and no surprise heat 16 was probably the race of the day. A shame that the drizzle spoilt the top scorers race. Hope the youth riders who flipped at the startline are all ok. And awesome to see @Trees back at the Adrian Flux Arena.

  19. Love that idea! 😅 My contribution is the Olive Tree at Little Snoring and the George and Dragon at Newton 👍
  20. It'll certainly matter to me when we win at the Foxhole this year 😉🤩
  21. I'd say the vast majority of people who go to speedway care very much about winning meetings and ultimately trophies. I remember those first cups and leagues Lynn won in the mid 2000's, the place was packed and it was an unbelievable feeling. The next one whenever that might be will be equally awesome.
  22. Lambert returns for Lynn! https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1AB5yiow2B/

  24. I have vivid memories of the first Speedway meetings I can recall being at, and that includes the music on the annoy at Lynn between races. Two particular songs I can remember hearing were IOU by Freez and Self Control by Laura Branigan, and putting that alongside some riders I can remember means my earliest memories were probably 1983. Can certainly remember Ole Olsen and that was his last season. Without the music it would have been difficult to know!
