  1. At least you have a motorway going past your track though rather than the A17 and country lanes
  2. I think it says it all that only one person is being negative about it. It's all about the context IMO, Robert has probably ridden in more meetings than anyone else in world speedway this year with four leagues, GP qualifying, world U21 rounds, Euro Champs and individual meetings including Cardiff. If this test match had been in the calendar from day one he'd have ridden but for the sake of the rest of his season he obviously needs the break. Things aren't always black and white.
  3. Porsing had an awful lot more meetings to show that he wasn't going to get any better than Andersen has, Kasper has missed many matches this year through injury and riding in Denmark.
  4. I was only five then so no can't remember that! In this case it's a hastliy arranged test match and the situation has been handled sensibly. If it had been in the calendar all along thst would be a different matter.
  5. Wow. I don't think you are ever going to stop following brum round, laughing to yourself or ruining threads so for the sake of everyone's sanity I'll leave that one there and steer clear in future.
  6. Not quite the whole story.....he already had a short holiday booked on a rare blank weekend for him and feels he needs that break. Not ideal but understandable considering all the meetings he has done this year in various competitions.
  7. Why do you feel the need to follow brum around and pick on him like a school bully?
  8. That's the dilemma, Simon is what he is and won't ever get any better, will pop out of the gate and score a few at Lynn but offers virtually nothing away, while Kasper is young and potentially could improve and has scored a few points away. Think we just need to hope that Garrity clicks into gear and doesn't get injured again.
  9. Out of interest who would you have at reserve tomorrow night if you were in charge?
  10. He looked all at sea with the grip last night but I would expect him to be better at Poole.
  11. Poole certainly look favourites at the moment but plenty can change between now and Play Offs. Depends if other clubs have the resources to make the changes which could make the difference.
  12. I see that Daniel has had a reply from Dale on Twitter regarding Riss, unfortunately he can't be bothered to travel down from Edinburgh to race in the Premiership.
  13. I see that Daniel has had a reply from Dale on Twitter regarding Riss, unfortunately he can't be bothered to travel down from Edinburgh to race in the Premiership.
  14. The reserved look like the big difference here.....if we can gate well I would suggest that the top fives will be evenly matched but unless Newman can roll back the years then our reserves are going to get absolutely slaughtered by Woryna and Jakobsen.
  15. Wow, with all the arrogant trumpeting on here tonight you'd think Poole had the trophy in their possession already, and bizarrely Starman is the one telling everyone to keep their feet on the ground. Pride comes before a fall and all that.
  16. The track is better when slicker than tonight but the racing will never be great while stock car friendly dirt is used which has so much clay in it. Vital three points and the Rebels suffered for having an injured number one as we did in the first fixture. The team certainly needs a new signing or two if we have any aspirations of winning the Play Offs at all.
  17. This has been suggested more than once but still have seen any evidence this it would fit, somebody else mentioned Erik Riss which is more appealing. Whatever happens Lewi Kerr's points from reserve need replacing somebody as we are suffering in scraping half a dozen points from reserve each week rather than notching double figures every time.
  18. And a pre booked holiday. Don't like it but can understand his need for some R & R.
  19. Good news for British Speedway that riders aren't elsewhere on our protected race night.
  20. It's not about who's fault it is or isn't or what's fair or unfair, it's about following the rules.
  21. Indeed, just shows how weak Britain is now despite having 'protected' race nights and that Poland still do whatever they like.
  22. Work, new baby and the general reluctance to travel very far to watch speedway nowadays. If everybody rides to the maximum of their ability we can win anywhere but as a team we are just so inconsistent, plus I can see us getting slaughtered at reserve with no Kerr.
  23. 50-40 and the racing to be 'excellent' even if it's really not.
  24. It's not an assumption, Lynn's school holiday crowds have historically been very good. I'm sure people do go away but equally there are holiday destinations local to Lynn so you would expect some tourists to attend too.
