One or two decent races last night on a track that seemed to offer the riders something. As predicted Rory was unstoppable and Barker gave his usual "Death or Glory " display , I was quite surprised by Hartel's performance didn't expect him to do quite so well , as for the rest they where pretty forgettable, didn't expect much from Heels and I was proved right. Good night from The Bandits reserves especially " The Enforcer " , Howe and Spud still seem a bit underpowered. A similar score next Saturday night Vs The Tigers please , not sure we'll do much in the return of this fixture on Thursday night -

Looks like this could be another tight meeting, we'll need all 7 riders to be scoring points if we're looking to win , Starke is a decent choice as guest & and I'm sure Ben will be as good value as he usually is , always entertaining to watch -

The decision to exclude Jye was terrible, the incident happened just in front of me and my pal and neither of could believe it , if the ref could see the NBJ incident clearly enough to throw him out I can't see how she couldn't see Morris clattering into Jye . The racing wasn't the greatest tonight, I thought that they might of put some water down during the meeting as it was pretty dusty . Some of the later heats where abit bit better but I guess a bit like Friday night this is another meeting we let slip through our hands . -
Guess I'm just a forum fanny

If you learn to spell properly then maybe the management might take your suggestion seriously

This is the 3 time this season I've heard of his happening, personally I don't understand why it's allowed to happen team managers surely tell the rider which gate they're going off or the rider has it marked in his programme , and finally they should check before they put the helmet on -
Berwick Bandits v Lakeside Hammers. Championship 28/4/18
DSC67 replied to Normski's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Would the real Berwick Bandits please stand up ! After last weeks meeting I was a bit apprehensive about tonight especially when Bomber and Ulrich where added to the Hammers line up , but no need to worry ( well maybe just a little bit at one point ) Berwick got off to a decent start and managed to weather a Hammers fight back and held on for the win and also prevented Lakeside from taking anything from the meeting, . It was another good performance from captain Kev & NBJ with everyone else chipping in with points . There's no doubt that losing Ostergard was a big blow to the visitors but sometimes that's the way speedway is sometimes. Hopefully this Bandits team will turn up next weekend against The Comics . -

Very tough looking match tonight , plenty guys in The Hammers team that go well at Shielfield and the addition of Oyster- Card certainly is going to weeken them , we'll need all 7 riders to on top form can't afford to carry any passengers. After last week I'm not going to make any predictions on a a score . Just hope it's a good match with so decent racing -

Berwick vs Newcastle 31/03/18 1st Leg TTT

Almost got the points difference correct , but not th way I expected. Fair play to The Diamonds they where the better team on the night The Bandits couldn't get out the gate and where never in it to be honest . IMHO the scoreline slightly flatters Berwick. There will be a lot tougher tests to come especially next weekend and we'll need to sharpen up -

I don't see any problems here this should be a comfortable win for Berwick , but we've been here before with teams we should be easily and sometimes have struggled and even lost on some occasions , but I'd fancy a 10 point win for The Bandits -
Looking at his Facebook page Sadly it seems to be true . Knocked me for six

Is that a dialect local to Cornhill ? You'll need to decipher or translate it for me as I don't speak fluent gobbledegook.

Good to finally get the season underway , and a cracking meeting to kick off with . Tigers look like they will be a match for most teams they come up against very solid scoring throughout the team. Pleased to captain Kev in among the points and also good to see NBK actually complete a meeting at Shielfield . Wasn't much between the teams and I think the two reserves cancelled each other out . Really good to get the meeting finished at a decent time and it didn't really seem that they where hurrying it through . Big congratulations to all involved in the new look programme ( or match-day magazine ) , all in all a positive start to the season which is the main thing , hopefully another decent crowd next Saturday night and another home win .
