Decent meeting. Enjoyed the company. Result as expected. -

So if I had said, "hope the riders are ok, Monmore stikes again" that would have been ok? Right. Rider error due to track tight and he tried to turn losing his back wheel. Bigger apex, less tight turn, stayed on. -

Points scoring? Don't talk crap. The track caused the crash. Nothing more. Hope Sedgmen is OK he didn't deserve that. Track too tight for Perks who lost his back wheel. Seen it on that bend many times. Glad he is up and being checked over. They do but not like Monmore. Nothing is tighter in the top flight. (Other than Wolves fans pockets judging by the crowd) -

Would the racing space be reciprocated with Masters? Hmmmmmm! -

In that second paragraph you have just confirmed your lack of knowledge of the sport. Everyone knew Redcar rides different to Monmore. Except you! Lol! (That was meant to be light heated humour) By the way when Wolves had a mediocre team, they still used to see off Poole more often than not by a couple of points. Been there often enough to witness it. By the way what a terrible crowd. 9.99 to get in, on their race night, and empty terraces. At least at Poole last week we had a good crowd on an off race night. What went wrong here or are Wolves fans stingy and would rather watch on tv? -

Lol! If you would rather watch this every week than a proper speedway track thats your perogative. Poole's track currently has its issues, no doubt about it, but the racing is Good full throttle stuff. Monmore is a tricky little track. Undisputable. And in your words, FACT. (Although its actually an opinion) Monmore has monster home advantage. Clear to see for everyone and the reason they won the league last year and probably this year as well. -

Give me Belle Vue type of track over this any day of the week. The hint is in the name. SPEEDway. -

So someone has a different opinion of Monmore and you do one of your rants. And Barker has just completely summed up my opinion of Monmore. -

And Lindgren wobbles around at the back this time. I will say you will get a few decent races but you got good races at the Brighton Bonanza. -

At least Harris didn't manage to wobble that time and he is a track specialist. No wonder Wolves won it last year with such a massive home advantage. Quarter throttle racing. -

I would put wolves alongside Leicester for quality speedway. Away riders wobbling around all over the place. Even Harris in heat 1. This isn't proper speedway. Wobble wobble wobble. -

Good god I hate this track. Trick track special with mistakes from the riders wobbling around. And yes the Poole track needs attention to smooth but its far superior in every way. Wobble wobble wobble. -
Guess the idea is Brady to be back with us still in a playoff position. Certainly not as strong as with Brady but I hope Worrall gives this chance his best shot to impress teams.

Poole Pirates Vs Kings Lynn Stars 12/07/17
Steve Shovlar replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Just being realistic. Kings Lynn will never get a better opportunity. KK coming back, Klindt clearly injured and shouldn't be riding and our big scoring trump card out to be replaced by a championship rider! Hardly arse covering. -
Shocking replacement. Replacing our heat leader with a championship rider? Matt seems to have given up on this season.

Poole Pirates Vs Kings Lynn Stars 12/07/17
Steve Shovlar replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well we are truly injury ravaged at the moment so the opposition will certainly fill their boots. Klindt is not fit suprised he is back to be honest. Perhaps there's just no one out there to replace him at the moment. Losing our top scorer in Brady is a disaster. Normally we would see off Kings Lynn without too much fuss but the way the season has gone with injuries we are there for the taking at the moment. With the returning KK, the walking wounded Klindt and r/r for our big hitter, it doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to deduct we are in crap creek without a paddle. -
Speedway World Cup 2017
Steve Shovlar replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Don't see it that way at all. You say "a load of morons" but these are speedway fans fed up with his attitude towards his own country, whether it be not riding in our leagues, not riding in ourchampionship or not riding in the swc. So what well deserved point is he making? TeamGB would have done better with him riding? True. But he has turned his back on his country. He deserves any crap thrown at him for disrespecting British speedway and its fans. -

And to think a couple of seasons ago I was cheering him on in the GP series. He will get a big cheer in Cardiff but I think there will be quite a few boos in the crowd as well. -

Typical Woffinden tweet. At least plenty on twitter are telling him he is out of order. -
Ok my thoughts on BT and the studio. I think the BT coverage is pretty good, but the studio part is very mundane. Natalie is fine, but Scott Nicholls is too afraid to speak his mind or say anything slightly controversial in fear of upsetting one of his mates, or rocking the boat with the authorities. There is controvesy and nothing is said. Stuff is brushed away when it should be debated. Personally, there needs to be another face in the studio either alongside Nicholls or to even replace him. A third person might inject wider debate and bring up incidents, talking openly, if they are not tied to the sport like Nicholls is. How about a fan going on, or an ex rider who says things as it is? Personally I like Pearson and Tatum. They are very enthusiastic and it shows, similar to the Polish commentators in the extraleague, who also ger very shouty. Rather have commentary like that than the sec comentary team, who still do a decent job if a more matter of fact style.

Would be interesting to see what the scores would have been if Poland had been on the GB boys bikes. Not so dominant is my opinion. -

We should look at it objectively. We got further than the Aussies, Latvia and Denmark. We ran the Russians close for bronze and really should have got third. Cook and Lambert croaked completely.
