If his average is now 5.4 he will be able to ride PL which is good for him. Is he getting any rides abroad?

Totally agree. Davey Watt has been an excellent rider in his career both here and in Poland where he held down a team berth for quite a few seasons. He has been a very good second heat leader in his time and was reliable. But his personal life has dragged him down. He seemed fine pre season but the sport moves on and the days of just turning up at p&p and expect to carry on where you left off are long gone. Out of season riders are not dossing about. They are going to the gym every day, some Watt himself said he couldnt stand, and working on getting their equipment spot on for the start of the season. From day one Davey was off the pace, blaming his gear. But there was more to it than that. He let his personal life affect his riding to such an extent Matt git rid of him. A move to Leicester might have resurrected his season but his scoring was just as bad. I heard that he is back with his Polish girlfriend but it didnt make any difference on track. Perhaps he is skint and can't afford quality gear, though thats just speculation. The same fate that hit Adam Sheilds seems to have hit Watt. Personally, I hope he can continue next season in the PL. He has given the sport in the UK quite a lot and it would be fair for the sport to allow him a couple more seasons at a lower level. Just my opinion of course.

Been brilliant so far. Downside is Prague next. A dreadful track that is usually a gaters paradise and bald as Kojak. Fantastic to see Holder getting back to where he was before his injury at Coventry. He had the word at his feet then and now its time to get back there. He could have won last night but he is a fair racer who always leaves room for his opponent, even if it means losing out on a gp win. Other riders might not have been so allowing.

Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?
Steve Shovlar replied to robert72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Does anyone "hate" Tai? Then they need help. Personally, I am frustrated with him for failing to support British Speedway in any shape or form. Winning a World Title is not supporting British Speedway. Its personal glory. If he rode in the UK, as World Champion, he would get my 100% support. And 99% on this forum would be the same. Clearly he doesn't care about this point of view. He is clearly in it 100% for himself and not British fans, which is a shame. If he wins this year, which he has a good chance of doing, I will say well done to him, but it won't be celebrated as a great day for British Speedway as it would have done nothing for the sport in this country, which is far more important than a rider who doesn't support us when he is needed. -

Ticket Sales At Belle Vue

As its a Monday doubt the crowd will be huge. -
It was a bog standard race. We are lucky at Poole that we see great racing nearly all the time. Granted the track for the BV meeting was poor but even that meeting had loads of passing. The clips a couple of weeks ago from BV was far more entertaining.
