There seems a reticence to run the BSN semis. Both Poole and Oxford had a blank date on Wednesday which seemed a heaven sent opportunity to run a leg but it didn't happen. Similarly Glasgow and Redcar were both free in May and didn't utilise it - would have to have been at Redcar as Glasgow had the SGP2 meeting the next day.

Is the answer to swap Knudsen who doesn't do Wednesdays for Bowes who isn't available Saturdays!

May be you don't sign a Dane when you've got a Wednesday racenight, nor a rider who has a contract with a Danish team.

While I don't disagree that riders are under more pressure at Glasgow, his problems stem from his big crash and he would have suffered the same loss of form loss of confidence downward spiral whatever Championship team he signed for.

It still finished earlier than most Glasgow meetings.

Edinburgh have raced on nights other than Fridays when it suited them so why should Glasgow go off night just to suit you?

Don't understand the relevance of "within a week after Workington". It was the first free Friday for both clubs. The next one looks like being August 15.

Sorry but we couldn't have gone with one rider in heat 14 as Boughen wasn't eligible to ride in it. No Tac Subs, the only way he could have been eligible. are allowed in the KO Cup.

Have done the same myself. As you say his average for 2025 meetings is barely over 3.00 and falling.

Can't see that at all! His average for June will be 5.27 based on his last 20 qualifying meeting.

And only two of the six meetings staged at Ashfield have been on Fridays, a really weird start to the season and not one to establish a regular speedway going habit among newbies ... Or indeed regulars.
