  1. There’s been a lot less rain in Berwick today than originally forecast fingers crossed it’s the same tomorrow.
  2. As entertaining as bomber is he no real replacement for Kurtz. I can see BV suffering tonight.
  3. I agree they won’t be last. I think 4 different teams have a shot at the 4th playoff spot and Edinburgh are one of them.
  4. Will the toilets be open on Saturday they were locked for p+p. Quite the oversight considering a decent attendance. Had to take my little lad outside to pee against a wall.
  5. Good scoring by both PK and Jye for their premiership teams last night. Hopefully the bandits will hit the ground running this weekend. Fingers crossed the weather stays nice.
  6. Yes as a precaution, he had a slight knee injury. He has been confirmed as fully fit by Berwick for this weekends meetings.
  7. I found that odd also. Second choice of gates and picked the worst.
  8. You may be right but high risk insurance is incredibly expensive. A neighbour of mine who does rallying doesn’t insure his car because it’s around 40k for a two day event.
  9. I know it was just practice but I was impressed with Reid Battye this evening. Really looking forward to next Saturday.
  10. I’d be very surprised if Kemp joined Redcar. Simply because he wants to make a name for himself in Poland and it’s a logistical nightmare to ride a uk weekend track with his current club.
  11. Palovaara scored a very respectable 9 for Newcastle select against Redcar last night. Fingers crossed he can maintain that Kind of scoring when he takes to the track as a Bandit.
  12. Update on the bears Facebook page. Charles has dislocated and fractured his shoulder. Maybe someone could post the link I’m useless at stuff like that.
  13. Another Bandit with some bike time before the start of the season and for a great cause. Brilliant news!
  14. Pictures on instagram and it’s bad. I can quite believe it’s 10k worth of damage.
  15. Would normally be a minor annoyance but the Ben fund is a worthy cause.
  16. He gave that away in his total access interview. Some bike time before the season opener can’t be a bad thing.
  17. I look at streaming as an opportunity to see away meetings. I’m self employed so taking a whole day plus fuel to attend an away meeting is quite costly. Streaming has its place, I don’t think I can justify travelling away but I’m happy to pay to watch it on my tv.
  18. I’ve been watching the replays that have been on YouTube and they are very welcome in the off season. I do however wonder what management have seen in Smith that has resulted in him being back in the team. He had a decent meeting against the comets but a fair amount of that was because of bad luck for the away side. I also wonder what Max Perry was asking for that he didn’t end up as a Bandit. He was brilliant on both visits so it can’t have been a performance issue.
  19. I honestly don’t have a problem with the team or any rider. My gripe is with the way rules in British speedway are just made up with very little effort or thought. I’m still waiting for an explanation for the points deduction to Workington last year. What is the criteria that needs to be met when the 8% reduction is applied for? How does that reduction work along side other reductions? I have quite a few other questions but it’s a waste of time listing them as the first two won’t be answered clearly. As much as I’m a bore, the point in any rule or law in sports is it will affect all the same. If the application of either is inconsistent it brings the whole show into disrepute.
  20. Is adding the percentage reductions together before application within the rules? It certainly doesn’t seem fair. I know it’s not a huge difference but it is different. Maybe someone with a better grasp of the rules could explain.
  21. It’s at 6.30pm according to the Bandits website.
  22. Bonus no fixture the weekend of the Wroclaw GP.
  23. Broadly Guy is better known but I don’t think anyone who has even a passing interest in motorbike racing will not have heard of John McGinness and he is a big fan of speedway so maybe would be open to doing a little promo for the sport.
  24. At some point we have to be due some good luck. I’d really like to see Berwick in the playoffs but unless the new team members can really learn Shielfield quickly it’s not gonna happen again.
