  1. To be fair I think he needs all the help he can get.
  2. Exactly how many of the BSPL five year plans lasted more than one season.
  3. It’s easier to just ring Pinegen and pay for one over the phone.
  4. I seriously doubt he will be on Peterborough’s list.
  5. Their is a better way, just exclude any rider who moves prior to the start when the green light is on, no replacement. This would eradicate all the nonsense at the tapes in a few meetings. Very few riders get excluded for a second offence in a meeting having been officially warned once, so they clearly know they get no leeway for trying to cheat.
  6. Prague is a lovely city to explore, just a shame about the speedway track which is dreadful.
  7. This years team was written off by pretty much everyone early doors, it didn’t stop them winning the league.
  8. Afraid I agree, I would have said Lynn is a better choice if he really wants to return. Harris, Nicholls, Andersen, MPT and Palin is a good start and of course Rob Lyon. I would like Ostergaard as well but next years points limit could well depend on that.
  9. Spot on Gordon Pairman and the point about vested interest is worth mentioning again, until we have people with integrity and complete honesty the sport in this country will continue to get worse.
  10. And this clearly shows how important the SON is to the riders this year, some just cannot be bothered and some of the Federations just let it happen. Very Amateurish.
  11. I rather suspect the weather will have the biggest say in what happens this year
  12. Any exclusion or retirement in the final and they lose it doesn’t matter how many points they are in front. I really don’t see why 21 heats cannot decide it, they always seem to over complicate things like the new GP scoring system.
  13. Don’t know for Belle Vue but Peterborough between 3000 and 3500.
  14. Probably because he was in Denmark, it makes team photographs quite difficult.
  15. I thought the two finals were a superb advert for the sport with two very good teams going at it for the full 30 heats, both tracks produced good racing and their cannot be any doubt that the best team won the title. The Panthers were written off by pretty much everyone at the start of the season but they showed good form throughout the campaign and carried on winning pretty much everywhere, apart from a few guests we finished the season with the same 1-7 we started with, we had a few injuries and attempts were made to change things but as per usual we got little if any help from the sports administrators which of course makes our success even sweeter. Every single rider contributed to our success so it’s hard to single out one rider, they all rode well over the season and some of them when they were carrying injuries but they all deserve credit for an outstanding season and the team spirit was the best I have ever seen in over 50 years watching. A special mention must be made for Rob Lyon, when he was made team manager I applauded the choice and he has done even better than I thought he would, he is light years ahead of some of his rivals and had a brilliant relationship with his riders. Keith Chapman has a lot of critics but he put his money where his mouth was and he has warmed to a lot of Peterborough supporters and trackstaff, he has the backing of the supporters club and has truly delivered, nobody can ask for anymore.
  16. Well Peterborough hasn’t been given any special dispensation so far so don’t expect that will change anytime soon. Dispensation is only given to certain teams and as per usual Panthers isn’t one of them.
  17. And when exactly have U.K. speedway ever disclosed anything. It doesn’t happen.
