you been to a football match recently?

I think BSN are great and offer a really decent product - i'd say (with a few caveats) they are better than the TNT product of last season. One of the reasons I like to use BSN is I have no club to properly follow as mine closed and I like to watch say Belle Vue v Leicester as a neutral.

That said Leicesters streaming service is always very good also (I feel)!

Last time I went to a football match was when Alan Gilzean was at Tottenham and friend dragged me along so the answer is not recently.

Problem is the play offs are at the wrong time for mainstream broadcasters as in September and October the Premier League and EFL is in full flow and the European Champions, Europa and Conference League has just started so they have plenty of content.

I did make the suggestion back in December when it became clear they had no Premiership broadcast to BSPL that maybe they would be better to look at running a short separate SuperLiga series of matches just one Home and Away .

This needs to take place late May until end of July then Sky and Others would be interested in broadcasting it Maybe also may attract more GP stars for a short period season. This needs to be a more modern format with DJs, lights , smoke , Cheerleaders etc

However this suggestion was turned down as promotions didn’t want to clash with Euro football games as thought attendance will be down but they will whichever way and also had concerns that fans would not attend the Premiership fixtures at start and end of season instead just going for SuperLiga matches .

This is exactly how Cricket has moved forward clubs make big money and attendance for 20-20 and the Hundred during peak summer which purest supporters don’t like but they can get their traditional cricket early and later on the year

Not ideal, but with planning theres more or less a 3 week window from 21st september due to the 2 week international break. Fit the SF and Final in that window, using track covers etc if required, maybe even swap legs around say its BV vs KL forecast is poor at KL so 1st leg moved to BV as its bathed in sunshine.

So....

Basically, promoters thought that an authentic and relevant league, that had some resonance, and ran during the warmer months, would negatively impact their unauthentic, and largely irrelevant league, with minimal, if any, resonance, (that they would still run), using the colder months too?...

In summary...

"This product would deliver what many fans want, and would engage them to attend, but then they wouldn't turn up to watch the usual contrived stuff we cobble together each season"..

They probably wouldn't be wrong would they?:D

Well I have just paid up. £38.99 a month for 7 months is a no brainer as it’s the only way to watch UK speedway other than attending. It’s far better than Eurosport for production and the commentators know what they are talking about.

Looking forward to seeing what the first batch of matches will be.

Have had BSN for my elderly parents for the last 4 years and can't fault it for the cost, yeah had a few teething problems with some streams from time to time when it first came along but its got better year on year tbf, my parents who are both 85 love their speedway and have been going regularly to local tracks since the Norwich speedway days, and were season ticket holders at Ipswich, Lynn, P'boro and Mildenhall for many a year before Covid stuck, it's just an easier option for them these days then driving to a meeting and having to sit about in all weather's at their age.

PREM 99.99

CHAMP 169.99

Both Combined 249.99

Why oh why would anyone invest buying a Premier pass or a combined?

Nobody knows if their will actually be a Premier League, if their is how many teams would be in it and what dates?

It will be a basic measure of interest in speedway in this country at the attendance for The Peter Craven meeting as most people I know are not bothering with the meeting or Belle Vue at all.

As it stands, I can see the Aces going full in on the PCMT, and the GP's...

They may need the money to pay for their season!!!

Get wot your saying, on one hand BSN are trying to sell a package to watch premiership speedway, but on the other hand them in charge have not decided how many and who are in the premiership 🤔. You just can't make it up

Has anyone actually subscribed for this season yet?  I ask because I've been trying to do so but am getting nowhere,  followed the link to the new site, also the instruction about re-registering.  Got a pop up message advising my email already registered.

I then used the contact us form to ask how to proceed, received a ticket number and a reply from a Martin Hunter giving me further advice, still couldn't register, so replied to Martin to ask for help.   That was almost a week ago but no response, so followed up using the same enquiry ticket on 21st.   Yet again no response.

I did try again to register and actually got the message to say an email had been sent, that was a couple of days ago and as yet no email, checked junk obviously.

I'm really surprised by this, considering it's a £270 spend you would think they would be better organised when a punter is waiting with the money in hand.  Hopefully there aren't others struggling with this and it's a one off glitch.

Maybe someone from BSN will spot this post and I'll get some help.  Had the full package last year and overall I enjoyed the coverage, much much better than the PCMT presentation last week, here's hoping for at least a similar standard this term.

Mines all sorted, but doesn't work on my smart TV which is disappointing although they say they are getting an app to download in early May that we can download and watch on TV.

Hi, try email support@britishspeedwaynetwork.co.uk and try again. I'm sure  they'll be able to sort it for you.

Are you sure you can’t cast your phone/tablet screen to your TV? Most phone and TV combos can do this, as long as they’re on the name WiFi network.
