Aries
We’ve got to weather the storm here for a while. You’d think we’ll be without Doyle for a few weeks more now after last nights setback and Dan is a massive miss. Brennan also is suffering a real dip in form, not sure what’s wrong with him at the moment. The important thing is to have everyone fit and firing for the play offs but the KOC has come at a poor time for us. Was a forgone conclusion that we were getting through that tie with Lynn with all due respect, but now I’d say it’s 50/50. It’s now we need Emil to stand up and be counted. He’s looked untouchable for the majority of the last two seasons hitting maximums for fun, but he’s looked a level below that this year. The main thing is that he comes back fit and healthy, I saw reports this morning in Poland from the president of Częstochowa that Doyle complained of the same hip giving pain after the crash and also that Doyle himself asked to race as he felt no pain before the meeting, although the team said it might not be wise, but they let the rider decide. Either way it’s done now, just another road to recovery! Anyone heard news on Thompson as he is a big miss for us???

An outside chance of featuring in the Cup next week, although more chance of the second leg a week Thursday but nothing ruled in or out yet. It’s a day by day thing and extensive treatment continues. Again, you have to be careful not to rush back too soon and risk further damage when there is so much of the season left to run. It’s always tempting to get back on the bike at the earliest opportunity, especially when you’re not earning sitting on the sidelines, but you could end up not earning even longer by rushing back! The hands/Wrists are troublesome injuries and can be the worst type of injuries for riders. Yes you can ride with them, but it can severely restrict your performance. Just look at the struggles King had last year riding with his hand problem.

Dan T maybe a bigger miss than Doyle the way he was riding, imagine a broken scaphoid will take a while, doubt he will be back very soon. No, as it turns out you are right. The wrong averages were shown on issue 8 dd. 24th May, which is what I looked at, but subsequently amended the following day. MP78
Should work slightly in Witches favour then, having Emil at 1 and shifting R/R to which position best suits the team for a given match.

I think it’s the wise move right now, if he rode and only got a few points but made the injury worse again it wouldn’t be worth it. Rebuild and go again, I wouldn’t be over ally concerned if he missed the cup matches as well to give more time to recovery. Surely the focus is the league this year for witches. Agree it's best long-term to get fully fit b4 coming back but Ipi will struggle without him until he is back coz R/R clearly isn't the answer as proved against Leicester what with Brennan having a blip in form and no Thompson to take extra rides if needed, as already been said if anything Thompson is probably a bigger miss as the ain't no one really who can replace his scoring potential at reserve.
