Poole Pirates Vs Workington Comets 23rd July Championship

Foord is definitely not overhyped. On the heat that unfortunately ended up in the crash he was flying around the bends and had already passed Thomsen. He probably would've railed in Cairns aswell who was hugging the inside line.

Good, young rider with plenty of years left to learn his trade. So far he's done exceptionally well for a reserve rider.

Shame on you for slating a young lad.

Also, are you certain you aren't a Poole fan because that was a lot of arse-licking for Poole there.

Stop talking rubbish. Look at his scores this season, hardly ground breaking stuff is it?

He he had been beaten by Starke and Cairns in his first heat, beat his team mate in his next then ended up crashing in his third. They are the facts, so no Workington weren't unlucky lose him especially when the other reserve is flying.

And certainly no Poole fan, can't stand them. Used to like Shovlar's posts back in the day before they lost any comedy value. And he has openly spoke with a known, disgraced paedophile on social media who used to post on this forum. I admire Poole's winning history but I have absolutely no respect for the fans who post on here.

Well it's the next day after a great comets performance getting the bonus point off the once mighty pilots, comets top 4 push carries on , Redcar bears are in town on Saturday, hope it's a good safe meeting,

one last thing on this thread has anyone sent out a search party and found @LisaColette🤔🙂

Comets won the bonus points if your late reading this 😁

Bowes has been superb since the break , he has been highly rated for some time so if Worky get him and Tate scoring like this consistently then they have a great core for the rest of the year and hopefully next season too.

Lawson was excellent as always. Tobias had a poor night. Kerr did OK. Three gated wins then faded. Just can’t pass. Cook started as usual poorly but was much better after that. Thought he should have got heat 14. Rowe wasn’t at his best. Stark did his usual. Cairns paid 9 good effort.

You seem to have a thing about Kerr (3, 3, 3, 2, 0). Lawson had 3 Ht wins, Cook 1, Rowe 1. No one else won a race.

I bet Comets fans would be happy if Batch had 3 gated heat wins.

One thing I have just noticed is Poole have completed more matches than any other team so the Fords also seem to be good at getting matches on and out of the way where some teams have raced just over half of the Poole completed fixtures , or is it just being down South they are in a drier part of the country.

The issue is again you have weeks in summer with nothing happening at many clubs then a bit of rain and you can see loss making double headers being crammed into back end of September early October.

Good for Workington to get the aggregate point, gives more teams a bit of hope going forward. Thing is they now need another one just to replace the 2 points they had taken away though. If they make the play offs after being docked them points they certainly deserve all the applause they get.
Poole now racing for a tight bonus point at Redcar on Friday, can Poole lose 2 bonus points in a week?

I have been critical of Kerr this season and rightly so. Last night it was a good performance but it is abundantly clear he is relying on gating to score. He was leading his 4th when Etheridge of all people blasted up hid inside and left him for dead. He just cant pass.

Well good is better than your "OK" comment in you original post.. :P

Was that the same Etheridge that ended up scoring 12 points? So after 3 heat wins, Etheridge passed him.. Kerr's return after he got passed was 3,3,3,2.  Lawson won HT15, and Lewi finished last behind Etheridge(12 points) and Bowles (13 points). He beat both in the same meeting btw.

Unlike yourself i wasn't there .It's about opinions, and mine is that your harsh on Kerr.

Kerr has had some poor meetings which I have been critical of  but showed some good form lately and was good last night, he rode in heat 15 too although it could maybe should have been Zach. Etheridge and Bowes were red excellent value, both teams had riders not performing as they can.

 I agree with you comment.👍

It's just Shuvvy who seems to be overly harsh on him imho.

Similarly if the opportunity arises to revisit Northside this season there is no way Poole will perform as badly as 2 weeks ago!!

Didn't think they performed badly. The Pirates are not as strong as last season. Tom Brennan and Ben Cook were exceptional for you guys last year.

Bearing in mind we have some away vulnerability I am delighted with the bonus . I think the performance tonight from Fraser, Jye and Jacob deserves a lot of credit. For Fraser to score so well on his first visit to the home of the champions is great, take a bow Fraser.

Not sure who had the better debut him or Mitch Mcdurmid. Both beat Lawson, although Mitch had it slightly easier at reserve. Also been a very long time since Jye has ridden Poole that well. Getting away from Berwick seems to be working for him.

I know the league isn’t won in July

As an Ipswich fan we were touted as the best team in the top league but injuries and certain riders off form means we aren’t certain of winning anything as proven by Kings Lynn being the better side over 2 legs in the cup beating us fair and square

Most , not all , Poole fans on here are awful losers …. Maybe these 2 matches have given them a reality check that the league isn’t a cakewalk

The fact is they have been beaten over 2 legs by Workington … it doesn’t matter when in the season it is April or July they lost … Workington had their two top riders off form and their third heat leader missing

Poole are the best side in the league but they can get complacent … no offence to Workington but if they can beat Poole over 2 legs then others certainly can

What others? Do you mean like Glasgow? Oh wait who got the BP again? Or do you mean Edinburgh? Oh no, try again? What about Scunny? Oh wait.

How about if KL can win on aggregate against Ipswich, everyone can. Apart from you know it doesn't work like that!

Well done to Worky for getting BP, good to see a close meeting for a change 👍

Haha, as much fun it is posting on here. I had to be up at 3.30am for work for an 11 hour shift, so thought I'd catch up later today. Glad to see you missed me though lol 😆

Give it a rest. What's the cut of age for a troll these days.. But i'll bite..

Oh, when were Poole at Sheffield?, I must of missed that one. Oh  yeah, he wasn't riding for you... It was in a different league..

Oh, neither was Lawson riding for you, who scored 4 in the same meeting for Sheffield. You must of forgot, or wasn't you bothered because he wasn't riding for you?.  Same as Lewi then..

Utter dregs, the pair of them
