There has always been big fast tracks and always been smaller technical tracks throughout the life of the sport

You can’t just expect the technical tracks to suddenly become these amazing fast tracks with many different lines and overtaking a plenty

The bikes are more advanced now and the skill set of the riders on these machines means that many can only handle the big tracks and some meetings get ruined because of this

Smaller tracks can provide great meetings … go watch Eastbourne v Poole 1999 on you tube

The sport isn’t dying because of the tracks it’s much deeper than that

You are sounding like someone who would lose their temper over the council changing the bin collection to a different day of week.

Change is inevitable in life and speedway is absolutely closing in on its last lap as a sport in this country. Change is badly needed and I believe that bigger tracks and more consistent entertaining races would massively help.

You are a strange one …

Superheat decider Bewley clears off and leaves his team mate last

Heat 6 of a league match and Doyle moves Kildemand over to let Ellis through

The 2 instances are so so different it’s laughable from yourself

And then you make yourself look even more stupid by talking about league titles ….you have lost the debate when you change the subject to another matter

I see the usual suspects are trolling on here about the track.

Given the expectation of a one sided affair it turned out to be a decent meeting, was a decent crowd in too, I wonder if bsn covered the second half, I didn't stay for that.

Plenty of grip out there and Oxford (Janowski apart) gave a decent effort. Lawson always puts up a good fight and his race with Ellis was good to watch (note there was no pass but there doesn't have to be for a good race). I was impressed with Killeens win. McDiarmid improved each race and his battle with Killeen was a little hairy but he didn't back off - I was hoping for him to get the point. Kildemand was unlucky to fall with Brennan, the gap was  there. Ellis looked much better for Ipswich and Thompson is back on form at the right time.

I think you need to actually go to Foxhall stadium and watch a meeting, you sound like someone who switched on the live stream, watched one match and now thinks they have a good idea how the track has been all season. Ipswich has some of the best racing I’ve seen this season, Ellis Doyle Emil Brennan and king all know how to run it wide and cut back when needed. The fact tonight’s track was so bad (and I agree a boring watch bearing in mind I was actually there) shows how good it has been, Doyle never walks on the track to see issues, so all Ipswich boys wanted it to be the normal Thursday night they know so they could go outside or in.

And if you want evidence as you mentioned previously I can send multiple videos from my phone confirming how good the racing has been. Only a few meetings ago Ellis came from 15m back to help in a 5-1.

I watched the stream on BSN and admit to enjoying it - the track caused issues no doubt but there was also one or two really good races with some great overtaking moves. I shall, weather permitting, be at Foxhall next week for the visit of erm who is it again😉

Ellis had a good meeting great overtake in heat 15 too! Well done to the Cheetahs for giving it a go - got away from then after heat 8.

Having beaten them 2 out if 3 times on their own track is really hurting some BV supporters

Only a few we deserved to lose team not as good as some think.

You say the sport has evolved but some tracks have been around for years and some are new

Foxhall has been Ipswich’s home for decades so please enlighten me how they can make it into a better track they can only work with what they have

How long have we had Belle Vue , Glasgow and Workington tracks? Answer is not long they have all been purpose built and to a good standard

Some of these great fast tracks have closed like Peterborough and Bradford

Kings Lynn and Poole used to be good tracks but it shows you how the sport has declined as those clubs dont give a damn about their tracks , Poole in particular

Ipswich each winter have made track changes and we have seen better racing then previous years….. tonight it’s the track prep that’s the issue

Glasgow have been racing at the current track and stadium since 1999, so 26 years.
