Tinker
Everyone seems to be writing Belle Vue but I've got a sneaky suspicion that they will prove to be the surprise packet. They're the "sleeping giant" at the moment and Lemo will expect them to all raise their game come the play offs. Underestimate them at your peril. Just admit you took advantage of another teams terrible misfortune and got away with one that you didn’t deserve 🙄 Well, that is sport all over, one team/opponent will always take advantage of another's misfortune. Every team would have done the same. We deserved it because one, we knocked the defending champions out, and won both legs of the final in convincing fashion. Yeah i don't think its as cut and dried as a lot of people make out, everyone raises their game for the play offs and anything can happen on the night, up until this season Belle Vue had more often then not had big wins at home against Ipswich, so anything can happen if Ipswich do end up top and have to face Belle Vue in the play offs

Phannan
I’d be surprised to see Belle Vue come out on top this season for the simple reason that their top two riders are fighting for 1st and 3rd in the world championship, whereas the other 3 teams top end have far less to go for , except Fricke for next year’s series. Their minds have got to be on that fact , maybe one less risk taken than usual.

I don’t think that will be the case at all as the play offs have something riding on them, not like the qualifiers that have filled the calendar long after the top four were settled (even if not mathematically). Brady’s most important meeting last season was the GP challenge the day after he scored a maximum and led his beloved Aces to another league title. I think we will see the Brady & Dan we saw last night come the play offs. Our bottom five have rarely set the world on fire this season and we only get around 20 points away and 25 at home. That leave Dan & Brady with potentially 28 points to add. When deciding on the winners it’s just a case of how many points you knock for those two from the potential final score of 48 away and 53 at home. I do not think the world championship will affect the play offs, there is only one race left, Brady and Dan will be giving there all in the play offs, the bottom 3 will dictate if they win or not. PhilTheAce
Brady will 100% have one eye on voyens, and who can blame him. I don’t. If only we could have finished 3rd and got the 2nd week of the play offs Dan said it himself. Hes not bothered about finishing 3rd. Means nothing to Him

cowboy cookie returns?
Personally I think the play offs are wide open. Belle Vue have been poor on the road but Lemon will ensure his riders are jeeded up for the semis. Sheffield are possibly the most up & down of the 4 teams but again more than capable of stringing decent performances together. Leicester are possibly the most consistent team at the moment. They certainly cannot be written off. My team Ipswich, while on paper & with the results they have had at on the road should make them favourites. However since Doyle & Thompson have been back we have been inconsistent. Making hard work of things & not performing as a team against Lynn at home in the cup. Anything can happen these play offs are wide open & should be great for the neutrals. If you support either of the 4 contenders it’s going to be stressful! mikebv
Pressure all on the Witches given you don't get many opportunities to build a team so much over the limit... (Great planning by the way)... One injury to either of their top two will destroy them though given the guest replacements from the bottom three teams... And RR would by a huge risk given the "engine room" can go missing... Leicester still the dark horses for me, with Sheffield's home track advantage (so many seem to hate the place), could also prove decisive. The Aces top three need almost four perfect meetings for them to have a chance given their bottom four are miles out of their depth at the highest, play off, level... If Fricke stays fit, Leicester to win...
Aries
The weather can play a huge role also. Just seen the forecast for the next few weeks, and meteorological Autumn starts with low pressure and plenty of wet stuff around. We saw how much of a lottery the final was a couple of seasons ago at Sheffield in farcical conditions. Any favourites on paper would go right out of the window, it would simply be a case of who handles the conditions better. Lets hope the weather doesn’t spoil things..
