Well yes I wrote Scunny off, what happened to Berwick and Plymouth I kinda thought it could be a great year for those two. In fact of course Berwick are still in with a chance of a double. (BSN 58-31 behind, after away leg). Edited 14 hours ago by Bitza

I think Nicholls' injury and their inexperience at reserve has probably cost Plymouth; Berwick always seem to have a habit of flattering to deceive however good their team looks. That said they have been excellent at home, but have fallen apart away once or twice when looking good for the win. Oxford were the big surprise for me although with a fully fit Riss I'm sure they'd have had a much better year.
STEVEHOLS54
Have a question on Slater Lightcap. See he is still showing as a 4 on the latest GSA. His second 4 points assesment on GSA's since he arrived. As the final GSA for team building is the latest one now regular Lge fixtures for Poole are complete, does this mean that not having riddewn enough qualifying meetings he will go into 2027 on a 4 points GSA ??. I thought it may be 5 BUT he has only ridden in 2026 and only for POL U24 team, not in any other league from what I can find. I know some riders came over on a 5 because they had for exmple also ridden in DK or SWE Leagues besides POL EXL U24. Could it be that he POL U24 Lge on iys own does not constitute as an overseas Lge for UK point allocation ?? Would be on a great av for Poole if he could come in on a 4 for 2027 bearing in mind Poole have to lose 4.72 from the 2026 team if the keep the 40 point limit. Even losing Zach for 2027 means some rebuilding.

The cynic in me thinks he was introduced at the appropriate time to not attain an official average.

Every time a smart move occurs other jealous promoters devise a rule to stop a further occurrence. We desperately need independent control of our sport before it dies.

Not having Jenkins due to hospital calling him back at Workington and Redcar probaly cost us 2 wins. Also Edinburgh away no Kildemand or Jenkins again has probably cost us a playoff place
Technik
Slater Lightcap will not get an average this season & will return (If all parties agree) on his assessed 4.00 average. I will put my prediction pin in Beau Bailey becoming a member of the Pirate's next season to make a strong reserve partnership with the American with Cairns & Rushen as second strings. The other 3 spots are open for discussion.

Lawson Beau Will Cooper Lewi Slater leaves an awkward 4.3 for the final rider, Newman Jenkins Kennet all too high. i like Lewi but not sure about him being at 5. I’d look to have Klindt, Ellis or King at 5, and then Southwick or a different lower average 7. Lawson and another great rider at 5 would take the pressure of a young rest of the team.
