2 point reserve and someone off the continent on a 5, the possibilities are endless. Vinnie will kick on next year and with a really solid top 5, they should be able to take care of business.

Can Workington afford a 5 pointer from the continent? Not many 2 pointers about that are any good.

As said if cook signs, comets will have 3 potential number 1's if Mr Cook is in the right head space, a 2 point reserve and a 5 point rider from the continent, then a fit Tate will push on, Vinnie will start at reserve, if does well then the 5 point rider would drop down, solid team imo

I think if Cook does sign and he is committed it’s a battle between him and JJ to no1. As good has Batch has been in the past he isn’t at that standard now.

Afford it? Considering that’s been the plan for the first 2 seasons back at championship level with a 3/3 hit rate of 5 point riders I don’t see why it would be a problem.

I find it hard to believe there’s no place for Perry in the championship. If he doesn’t get a place there must be more to it than his performance. He is a kid with potential who I’d hoped to see at Berwick. Maybe he is asking for whatever Glasgow gave him.

No, would be 0.03 over the limit I believe.

Cook, Luke Harrison and Max Perry would have come to exactly 40.00 if that was the combo

Harrison signed for Scunthorpe though, so can't see how Max Perry will start the season anywhere now

This is an interesting one. There may be something in it simply because he hasn't ridden Speedway for 7 years and many people may well have forgotten about him in the context of a speedway rider.

Could be a good signing if he feels he has unfinished business . He would need  to be assigned a favourable average of 4.97 or less based on my belief that if Cookie has been given yet another chance then we should sign Max Perry as our other reserve (2.29).

Other options that fit with Perry would be Danyon Hume 4.97 ( on condition his fractured back metalwork removal due around this month is uncomplicated. ) Nathan Ablitt 4.91 and Declan Kennedy 4.63. 

I reckon Scunny will do all they can to sign Drew Kemp in order to give them 2 heat leaders. Luke Harrison must be back and more than likely Lambo. This would only leave them 3.24 for the last reserve if indeed this is the scenario.
